Over the last summer season, our family has accumulated a lot of plastic bottles. In the fall, they began to think about where to throw them away, how to take them to the landfill. The youngest daughter came up with a brilliant idea to leave the plastic bottles at home and make something beautiful and original.
Everyone liked the idea of ​​our daughter. A lot of handicrafts have been reviewed on the Internet. We stopped at the idea of ​​making a palm tree.

Stage 1
Collect as many plastic bottles as possible. The color is green (from under the Sprite). The color is dark brown (from Kvass or Beer). A huge amount is needed. Immediately ask for help from neighbors and acquaintances. You will certainly be helped in difficult endeavors.

Stage 2
Think carefully about how tall and large your palms will be, how many palms there will be, where you will install them.
We, personally, to begin with, make one tall palm tree.

Stage 3
We tear off all stickers and product labels. Gently rinse dirty plastic bottles in hot water.

Stage 4
We sort plastic bottles. This will make it easier and more comfortable to work. We start with brown bottles. We'll postpone the green ones, let them not interfere. We will use them a little later.

Stage 5
Let's start making a powerful and reliable barrel. We take plastic brown bottles. Carefully cut off the bottoms of the bottles. Then we take a drill with a nozzle. We make holes in the center of the bottoms on a hard surface. We take the reinforcement. We string the blanks onto the fittings one by one.

Stage 6
We bring green bottles from the warehouse. We will make the leaves of our exotic palm tree from them. For this procedure, we need sharp scissors and a knife. Carefully cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle. We throw it away. Cut the rest into long strips.

Stage 7
We mount and securely fix the workpieces on iron fittings. The length of the fittings depends on the number of bottles and the size of the palm tree.

Stage 9
The final stage. We mount all structural elements securely. We securely fasten the iron fittings to each other. We invited a neighbor welder. Five minutes of work. There she is. Creating a palm paradise on your site is a simple and very exciting process, in which you can also involve children. In this article we will try to give a detailed description of the step-by-step instructions for creating a palm tree from plastic bottles with your own hands.

For this, of course, we need bottles in brown and green. You can choose out of tone - the variety of shades will give your palms a more natural look. By the volume of the bottle, you can also select any - from 1.5 to 2.5 liters.

So, to create the trunk of the palm tree, we need bottles of brown shades. To do this, we cut the bottles with a knife across almost in half, but the lower part should remain slightly larger than the upper one, the one with the neck. At the same time, we do not throw anything away - all the cut parts will still be useful to us.

The top half of the bottle should be cut into 8 equal parts to the point where the bottle begins to taper. And then we give each of these parts the shape of petals, or triangles, which must be opened in the form of a flower, while making a fold at the base. The lower parts of the bottles are cut in the same way, however, first you need to make a hole in the middle of each of them according to the size of the neck. This can be done with a hot knife.

Let's start describing the process of obtaining foliage. For this we take bottles of green shades. We cut off the neck and the very bottom of the bottle with a knife, where it rounds off. Then, starting from the bottom, we cut the bottle into 3-4, if possible, equal parts. The number of cuts will depend on the size of the bottles and the palm tree itself. Before reaching the top of the bottle by about 2-3 cm, we stop the cuts.

Then you need to bring the foliage to its proper form. To do this, slightly round off the lower parts of the resulting petals, and closer to the neck - on the contrary, narrow it down. Then we straighten them along one plane.

To form foliage, each of the petals must be cut on both sides, leaving 1.5 - 2 cm in the middle. The cuts must be made obliquely, in the direction from the rounded sides to the narrowed middle. To add splendor, we unbend each formed strip of foliage in the sequence: down, skip, up, skip.

As a stem, you can use plastic pipe or an iron pin of small diameter so that all parts of our palm tree can be inserted into the base. The height of the palm tree will depend on you and, of course, on the number of bottles used.

The assembly of the palm tree is as follows: we collect all the finished parts of the trunk with the neck down, from the largest bottles to the smallest. When threading the next part of the trunk, you need to turn the petals so that they occupy the empty spaces of the previous part, i.e. staggered. The very first part is attached to the pipe with tape.

If in a hot summer the family often likes to drink refreshing soft drinks, then you should not throw away the container from which you can make a palm tree from plastic bottles. 3. A minimum of 8 branches are attached to the main trunk. It will be good if reinforcement is used. You can cut a certain number of rods and weld them.

1. The tree trunk is installed in the selected location. It can be driven in or fixed to the platform. But it is important that the product is stable.

• scissors;
• brown paper;
• green paper;
• copper or aluminum wire 30 cm long;
• glue.

After preparing everything necessary, they begin to make a tree trunk. You will need wire and brown paper. Pieces of paper need to be wound around the wire so that they are pressed tightly. Then another sheet of brown paper is taken, and strips 3 cm wide are cut on it. Each element is folded 7 times, of which it is necessary to make a fringe.

Further, the blanks are glued to the frame, on which the primary layer is tightly wound and fixed. A strip is taken, and glue is applied from the inside, and then the material is tightly wound at the very base. To obtain the volume of the trunk, several pieces of paper will have to be wound on a certain section of the frame. That is, the first layer, then the second, and then the third.

After the barrel is made, the green sheet of paper is divided into 4 parts. The same procedure is done with another sheet. On a piece of paper, draw the shape of a palm leaf with a pencil. After that, the shape of the sheet is cut out with scissors. There will be 8 such parts. Also, several sheets are prepared 2 times less than the previous ones - they will be installed at the very top of the craft.

The last step is to assemble all the parts. First, a paper platform is built, and the trunk of a palm tree is glued to it. Craftsmen use thick cardboard, but yellow. After gluing the part, the foliage is fixed. Several small sheets are placed on the top with glue.

Then the rest of the leaves are glued with the same pitch. Job is done. It remains to choose appropriate place for placing the product, for example, on a table near a window.

Realistic coloring

If you have minimal artistic skills, you can make a really realistic paper palm tree. The tree is collected in stages all from the same materials, only ordinary thick white paper is used, and paints are also required.

After assembling the tree, you need to arm yourself with a brush and put in front of you a photo of a real palm tree. The main task: to draw various details on the product. This does not mean that, for example, the trunk is painted with one brown... First, a light shade of brown is applied, and then, where there are shaded areas, they need to be hovered with a brush, but only with a darker shade.

After the base layers, all the details are drawn until the master achieves realism. Such manipulations are carried out with foliage. On them you need to draw streaks, dark and light areas, and so on. At the end, chiaroscuro is induced. Pale colors are used. The process is long, but the work will live up to the expectation.

We take a drill and start using it to make holes in each blank from a brown bottle. The holes should be the same as the diameter of the metal bar.

We have all done the blanks, proceed to assembling the palm tree, make the trunk. We take the brown bottles and bend their cloves from the outside, and then we begin to put them on the metal rod. In turn, we insert the bottle into the bottle, look like in the photo.

To make a palm tree, we need:

* Brown plastic bottles.
* Scissors.
* Metal rod.
* Drill.

Method for making palm trees with coconuts:
Let's make the barrel first, take 20 brown beer bottles. It took Sasha so many bottles to make one palm tree 1 m high.

Cut off the bottom of the bottle closer to the base. We then cut the bottle into five parts.

Now let's make the bottom foliage from the green bottle. We cut off the bottom and cut it into 5 parts, you will need 3 such blanks.

Together with my son, we agreed to make a palm tree from plastic bottles for the garden. It turned out that there are many ways to implement the idea. Wanting to get the best specimen, we tried several schemes for assembling an exotic plant, which we will tell you about.

When we started assembling a palm tree from plastic bottles, we fully felt the main problem: a huge amount of containers is needed! It must be borne in mind that all this abundance of bottles must be washed, cut up and collected with our own hands. The scissors gave his son blisters. In the process of work, three ways of solving the issue were discovered:

• make a small tree;
• use technology with less material;
• paint transparent bottles.

This all went through our hands several times.

As a result, we decided to make a medium-sized tree. We painted only three bottles. We achieved the use of containers with almost no scraps, that is, by 90%. 35 brown and the same green plastic bottles were spent on the entire product. Let's start assembling the tree from the trunk. It will require a metal tube that easily fits into the neck of the bottle. The tube should be 50cm longer than the palm tree: this part will be in the ground.

We used a whole 150cm tube to assemble the barrel. For installation on the ground, they hammered into the ground 50 cm long reinforcement 1 m long, on which they put a tube of the supporting structure of the palm tree. Below is a step-by-step instruction and a diagram for assembling crafts for a garden and a vegetable garden. The step numbers here and below correspond to the numbers in the pictures:

The result is the trunk of a palm tree. The diameter of the tree is not the same due to the use of different bottles, but in nature it happens.

Now we will deal with the crown of an exotic tree. For its assembly, we also chose a design with full use of plastic bottles. Bottles are different, and we divided them into five groups for five tree branches in advance, trying to keep all the sets approximately the same. To assemble the crown, you need to follow these steps step by step:

Like the trunk, the crown of a palm tree can be done different ways... It is very convenient to choose the required option based on the size of the tree. Going back to the medium size sample, you can make a fluffier crown. However, in this case, you will have to cut bottles with a step of 5 mm, that is, do it yourself three times more work. In addition, in this case only the upper third of the bottle is used, which would require three times the starting material.

Making a crown for a small tree

Now we will give a master class for making a crown for a small palm tree. This craft is well suited for beginners. In this case, it takes noticeably more time to work with each detail, but noticeably fewer bottles will be required, and the crown of the tree will have a more natural look with a small distance to a small tree.
