From coffins ... what? Of course, not from those female, in which we are Honim our dead. The ancient Jews buried the body of the departed in the rocks, in the caves carved in the Rocky Mountains.

And in these coffins the unfortunate man was obsessed with a whole legion of demons.

What is Legion? Legion is an integral part of the Roman troops - about 6,000 people.

Did he really bow to anyone? He pounced on everyone, and everyone ran away from him in fear, and then came running to Jesus and bowed, "" And screaming a holo-som, said: What do you have to me, Jesus, the Son of God of the Most High? I breed you, do not flip me! " (MK. 5, 7).

Who spoke it? Could he, being a man, say such words? Could he name Jesus, who saw the son of the Sale of the Most High for the first time? Could you ask for: not a mellow me? Didn't he want to free himself from his torment?

Who told him his tongue? And who prompted him to bow to Jesus? It was said to the demons united to him, they asked Christ: "Do not flip, not fluttering until time!"

They knew that the time of eternal torment would come for them, and now they asked: Leave, leave! Do not flip us, do not flutter until time!

The Lord Jesus Christ, of course, knew who said it: he knew that it was told that demons. And he commanded them to get out of this unfortunate man. That's why demons and asked him: not a flock, no flies of us before!

What was their torment? The torment for them was to leave alone the soul of this unfortunate man, the torment for them, - when they cannot do evil, and evil for them, that the air is for us. Torment for them happens when they can not torment a person, and they are tormented by all of us; Remember - all of us.

Unbelievers laugh at our faith in demons. But how do we not believe when, the Lord my Jesus Christ himself said about demons, when he expelled them with his command, when he healed the rampant - not this one, and many others.

And what prevents us from believeing? After all, our soul was created by such spirits, and therefore it can have direct communication with them, because herself is like their spirituality.

You know, on your own experience, which often perceive our hearts with your heart, the soul of your thoughts and the desire of people who love who live with us with one soul.

So this way we can perceive the suggestion of angels and demons.

Why reject the possibility that the perfume spirits can put into our souls?

Very, very moral! They will not be missed, for we often foggle, often we are obsessed with the grave spiritual bad, and this is obsession.

I think there is nothing to convince you in the existence of demons and the possibility of their attack on you.

Demons, knowing that Christ will drive them from this unfortunate man, asked not to torment them, they asked to allow them to come out of the idhotom to enter the herd of a pork, immediately on the shore. The Lord allowed. And there were demons in the flock of pork. And the flock it was huge - about two thousand goals. And the pigs were whisked, and rushed to the shore, and everyone jumped into the lake deep, and everyone drowned.

Why did the Lord Jesus Christ allowed the demon to enter pigs? I don't like some bold thoughts, and they condemn: why, why did the poor animals died?

I will not answer in my words, I will give the answer to the great St. John of Zlatoust.

It was necessary, first, in order to show the omnipotence of God, because it was one of the great wonders of Christ.

He was aimed at his show to people - and the audience was quite a lot, - as great, as the immense evil Beshovskaya, show in reality that the demons cannot do not create evil.

We read in another place of the Holy Scripture about the same: the King Israeli Ahab was stubborn in sins. It was necessary to punish him as the Egyptians. It was necessary to show him for his stubbornness, for his recreativity.

But they do not dare to come to the saints: they are afraid of saints, they are afraid of the Cross of Christ, they are afraid of prayer spells.

Not so, not so! They did not deserve this condemnation, because Luka, story talk about it, says: "... because they were embraced by great fear" (Luke 8.37).

They were shocked, trembled from fear, seeing an extraordinary miracle, trembled before the demons expelled.

Their thrill was so great that they could not postpone the presence of Jesus, and asked him: Retain, leave! We are unworthy, we cannot transfer your presence.

And we will not ask so much, we will ask: Do not leave us, do not leave us. Do not go, Lord, Lord!

At today's Sunday day, our preferential attention is paid to the instruction, which comes from the Gospel reading, which tells about the miracle of the healing of the Gadarinsky Pointed. In general, three evangelists are talking about this miracle: Matthew, Mark and Luka. The difference in the description of this miracle consists only that Matthew speaks about two Gadarin's undersensants, and Mark and Luka speak of one. Critics of Holy Scripture paid attention to this contradiction, in which they saw the basis for the interim in the authenticity, the reliability of the text of the evangelists. But it is explained by this contradiction very, very simple. It was the underestimated two, only one so much, in a pronounced form suffered from this launcher that the second on his background was just a meek lamb, with whom it was absolutely easy to cope, and he did not imagine such a threat to the people around.

Thus, the evangelist of Luka, whose narration was read today, tells about one of this Gadarinsky launcher. The Lord, sailing in the boat on the Galilee Lake, arrived in the country of Gadarinskaya, where there were ten cities in which pagans were mostly lived: Gadara, Geresa and other cities. And as soon as he stepped ashore, this idle person went to meet him. This sick person was a terrible spectacle: he could not wear any clothes, his blacksmith chains were thrown, and he ruled them as rotten threads; All overgrown, terrible. The demon, which in many lived in him, tormented him scary, so that he fought about the stones, all was wounded. This man approached Christ and cried in an incredible, terrible voice: "What do you have to me, Jesus, the son of God of the Most High? I beg you, do not flip me "(LK.8; 28). And another evangelist says: "What do you have to us, Jesus, the Son of God? Have you come here before you torment us? " (MF.8; 29).

What is this mention: "First of all"? This is a mention that after a terrible court, about which demons know, will be the final division on the righteous and sinners. And hell finally and irrevocably concludes all the demonic kingdoms and all the people who were like them, they worked their will in life. But so far there is no, the world continues his being for the grace of God, evil spirits have relative freedom and may not be concluded in the hellish abyss. Therefore, this is a question, this cry of a rapid man speaks a lot about many things. He suggests that the demons themselves are afraid of hellish fire, they do not want to go there. "Why did you first come? There is still no your terrible second coming, still life continues. " And they do not want to go there.

We can make a fairly reliable, convincing assumption, as scary there, in these hellish depths, in hellish fire, that even demons do not want to be there, even for them these torments are terrible and monstrous. Therefore, paying attention to this exclamation of evil spirits, taking care, not to get there, in hellish torments.

Continuing the conversation, the Lord asks a question to this person: "How do you need a name?" (LK.8; 30). And this person, whether I forgot my name, was so immersed in this serious suffering, in my illness, whether the demons were ahead of him and, using the consciousness and voice ligaments of man, answered: "Legion," - because many demons entered into Him "(LK.8; 30).

What is Legion? This is a numeral, the main organizational unit in the army of the Roman Empire. The Legion in the Roman army consisted of six thousand people - a huge army, equipped with the latter, so to speak, the word of the Warriors, fearless Roman legionnaments. And in this unfortunate, about six thousand evil spirits lived. And therefore, their power was incredible. No iron chains were impossible to sow - he ruptured them as thin rotten rings.

Dear brethren and sisters. Seraphim Sarovsky on the question about the power of demons spoke to the simple people, that the very rapid, the slightest of them, from this demonic kingdom, can one destroy the whole world, and without the slightest effort, one curious one can destroy and turn the whole world.

If one of the same insignificant lawlessness has such a tremendous force that can destroy the world, then what force did these six thousand demons possessed, the great many who had this unfortunate man?

Of course, dear brethren and sisters, there are special reasons for the launion, and there are different forms of this shortness. To varying degrees, we are all the standnight, because everyone is under the influence of evil forces. They everywhere around us, like air, surround and affect our life, wound their terrible thoughts in our consciousness, disguising under the natural mental abilities of the person himself. If these thoughts are connected to sin if they are terrible, vague, unclean, blasphemes, then this demons are the authors of these thoughts that they vague in our consciousness as a bait so that we are swapped and agreed with this thought. And then it becomes already a sinful magnitude, the thoughts already, which is imputed to a person in sin. We have not paid the slightest attention to these nice thoughts. We bring to confession, at best, only some sins, misdeed, actions, but about thoughts and do not think. And the holy fathers say that from the moment when at least for a short instant you entered a conversation with this thought, she is already becoming yours. For a second, you already detain her in your mind, entered the dialogue with this thought, and the demons rejoice and triumph, already a man sinned in his thoughts. And this sin is visited only by him and God, but absolutely he has not yet done in any way, and people are unknown in this life. Any terrible sins that further develop in crime, also begin with sinful thoughts.

The idleness is different. There are terrible forms of this shortcut, when demons on the special militimization of God are arranged in the person himself, that is, not from the outside only tempting it, but they will put it in his body and can stay anywhere, anywhere, in any body of our body. Usually staying in those places of our body, which can be particularly related to the commission of sin.

This is a lack of confusion, it is not a miserable stay of demons in a person occurs differently. Sometimes a person for many years himself does not realize that he is subject to such a terrible spiritual illness. Therefore, it is very scary and dangerously intentionally and consciously sin and remain in these unrelated sins.

And this confession of the Deity of Christ is very interesting. It was necessary for instruction in the faith of the Apostles. Once, when the Lord stayed to pray on the shore, the apostles overlook the Galilee Lake in the boat at night and fell into a terrible storm. The boat beat the waves, the wind was nasty, and the apostles were frightened. And the Lord went, wanting to save them, on the waters, at night, on the raging Lake Galilean. And then it was Petr who cried: "Lord! If this you, led me to come to you on the water "(MF.14; 28). And the Lord said: "Go". And when Petra's gaze was fixed on Christ, he walked along the water, as luck. And then, pulling out his gaze from the Lord, the source of life, he began to sink and heard the reproach of Christ: "Before! Why did you doubt? " (MF.14; 31).

When the apostles could not recognize God in Christ, the demons confessed, the demons suggested the apostles that the Son of God came, and the demons know God in Christ, and his strength and power tremble. Therefore, they asked him: "If you defeat us, then we went to the flock of pigs" (MF.8; 30). This is a herd, goals about two thousand, embraced nearby. This destruction of pigs, the Lord made intentionally. For what? To show which destructive, terrible effects they have, what evil spirits are striving: to destroy, destroy. Therefore, expensive brethren and sisters, we will be very careful and tremble to a possible collision with these evil spirits in our own milk, because it never passes it without a trace. And then you need to pour out again, so that the Lord, the Divine Grace can concern this soul, who betrayed God.

Sins of appeal to grandmas may have terrible consequences. Characteristic of them is the absolute braveless person. For example, a baby took a stagnation to the grandmother, or something else. The paralysis of the will of the Human will occur when a person can confront anything. This is one of the characteristic consequences of the sale of the soul to the Devil. This story is multifaceted, it can be approached with many of the parties. And suddenly, here, as in a number of other cases, he seemed to forget about everything, because in front of him one specific need, one specific sufferer: this is enough for him to donate all his divine and human attention to him. This is a wonderful feature in Christ, this is a wonderful feature in God. We often think that there are things great and st aboutenough, and there are small and little art aboutattention. Not so with God. There is no such suffering, there is no such pain, there is no such need, there is no such joy that God could have joined in full, with all his creature and make a new item sometimes in a hopeless position, open a door that would make this position unsubstantiated.

Here, here Christ, the God of the Universe, as if forgetting everything in the world, all his attention draws on this man, because this man suffers because his Need help because is he In grief. We should think about it, because we do not do this with people who are in need. When the need covers hundreds, thousands of people, we suddenly wake up and begin to act, but when we have one-only sufferers, and around everyday worries, our own needs, all that makes our personal and social life, we pass by. And we forget that every person is infinitely precious that the second such person does not exist and will never exist that he is the only one in the whole universe and in all a century. And we need to pay attention to it at any time, entirely, even when circumstances are called on, life to another, to what seems to us wider, deeper.

I was once a doctor and survived it very much when, being a military surgeon, I saw how it turns out, the war develops terribly, and at the same time the only caring should be the person who lies with the operating table in front of me. There is nothing else in the world, if you even fake a hospital or a sanitary point where we are, I have no business before. Only one person exists: this There is no other person.

And it seems to me that here Christ gives us an example, because if we were like this, with such attention, with such an inquiring to all people around us, then life would be completely different. We would not donate all sake of some kind of business, we would not donate and deed, because with the right approach to the case, we would have revealed the possibilities that there would be no other way.

I remember one priest now. He came to me and said that his wife asked him to talk to me. Their lives became joyless, since his priestly expanded, he is engaged only by other people, and his wife, his children barely sees. And as a result, the wife is unhappy, and children - without a father. I then told him: "You know what to do is to reduce your pastoral activities." - "How can I, because it is my duty before God and people?!" "No, the first your favorite is a wife and children." - "But I will answer for all those who leave ignoring during this time. I can go to hell for it! Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it an example, isn't it a parable in action and in reality?

These other forces - I am deeply convinced of this, so teaches us and the Holy Scriptures, and the life and teachings of the Holy Fathers of the Church - can be really demonic, but they do not always act in such a size and with such brightness with which they are described here. It may be "hellishness" in our Russian sense of the word. A person can be obsessed with a drink to drink, be drunkard, suffer from a drink, a person can be a volupture. The head of the Jair's Synagogues came to Christ and, bowing to the legs, asked to come to his house, because his twelve-year-old daughter was at death. And Christ said such words: "I will come and healee." But when Christ went to the house of Jaira, he was surrounded by a large crowd of people, as it always happened, and one woman who had fallen with bleeding, all his estate distributed to doctors, but no one helped her, quietly came to Christ, with faith and History to him touched and at that moment he was healed. And so far Christ talked to the woman, came to Jair his servants and said that she had nothing more to ask for a teacher, her daughter died. And Christ told him: "Her beats, just believing." He entered the house of Jair, and then once again confirmed that the girl died. But he said: "No, she did not die, but sleeps." And everyone became even swearing, mocking them. But Christ took the daughter of Jair by his hand, she got up and resurrected from dream of death.

Such miracles today describes the Gospel today. But we will dwell today are not faith of Jair, the head of the synagogue, because what happened to him has a very deep spiritual meaning. It reveals the meaning of our faith, and our prayer, and our relationship with God: our relationship to God, and the relationship of God to us.

With each of us in life there is a situation similar to what happened to Jair. Not literally the same, but there are moments in the life of every person when it seems to him that everything around him dies. It seems that the whole life collapses: the closest relationships die, the best life opportunities and prospects die, the forces are dying. A man remains in emptiness, alone, he has nowhere to go. And so he goes to Christ. He goes with faith and hope, because Christ said about himself: "I am life, I am a way, I am truth." He also told each of us that who would ask with faith and hope in the name of my father, would undoubtedly receive what he needs. He also said that there, where two or three will gather in my name, all your petition will be executed. A lot of such promises will give us Christ in the Gospel. A lot of encouraging and encouraging words tell us the Holy Scripture, they tell us the holy fathers, the church itself says that who will believe in Christ, will not be ashamed. We hear these words at every worship: the believer in Christ will not be ashamed.

And the Jair goes to Christ. And Christ promises: Yes, I will come and hece. And what happens? He does not go. In the eyes of Jair, this situation is happening: he went, and he was detained. He no longer looks at Jair, no longer listens to him, he looks at a bleeding woman, he is completely in her attention. And the crowd is so dense that IAIR will not even approach the Savior. He laid all hope for him. He entrusted his life to him, he was presented to him, Christ promised and did not fulfill. When it was necessary to go to her daughter and save her, he did not go, and everything collapsed, people came and said: Everything, she died, no sense to contact this teacher more. And Christ says to him: do not be afraid, but only faith.

These are very important words, because we often, without waiting for them, unfold and leave Christ. We leave offended, statched, in a state of despair and despair: Christ does not hear us, Christ did not come to us, Christ did not answer our prayer. And these words that the Lord tells us, do not be afraid, but only believe, really believed, until the end we do not hear. But Jair heard, because his tension of his relationship with Christ was such that at all time when Christ did not hear him, no matter how he had turned away from him, he still did not cease to hope for him, did not stop believing. His faith was very active, all-consuming, he could not think about anything as he was about his hope for Christ. And Christ supported him: "Do not be afraid, just believing. Trust God to the end." No, Christ does not help you ... You see what life now ... It is necessary to impose hope. " But in any situation, we need to remember that we should not be afraid of this world, we should not be afraid of losing something in this life, if we are next to Christ, if Christ is next to us.

This is the evangelical reading of all hopeless, all desperate, all insane should be sure to strengthen. There is no other help in our lives, except for the help of our Lord itself. No one gives us life except who himself called themselves life, no one will indicate our paths, in addition, who himself called themselves by way, no one will reveal to us any truth besides who himself called himself the truth.
