Russia is a country that has a rich history story, about many of whom a simple manner does not know or no longer remember. Unfortunately, an unfavorable tendency is planned in the country - many do not know the history of their country, and the worst thing, do not seek to know it. If you open a calendar, then almost every day is marked by a significant event, whether a great battle or an important scientific discovery. For example, take the shortest month of the year, and you will see how many great events happened in it.

February: memorable days and dates in Russia

To begin with, we will define what the phrase "memorable date" means. A cool reader will immediately noted the similarity of the words "remember" and "memorable" and will be right. After all, the main goal, entering events that influenced the course of domestic history, to the calendar, remember them, keep in memory for future generations.

In both February, there are more than two dozen events that left the trace of our country. Most memorable dates this month are associated with military battles occurring from 1941 to 1945 (BBIrs: commemorative dates of February). Some numbers are marked by the birth of great people. Consider the brightest events.

The day of the defeat of the fascist troops near Stalingrad

February 2, 1943 - the first memorable date of February. This day is marked by the victory of Russian soldiers over the fascists during the Battle of Stalingrad.

German troops planned to seize the south of Russia to take advantage of the resources to help the fascists finally deal with the Russian army. But they did not expect such a removal from the Soviet military. Our soldiers delivered a clear order: under no circumstances to give Stalingrad. And they did it.

The soldiers of the Red Army did not regret themselves, defending the city. They survived for 200 days, which entered the history of the Second World War, as the most bloody.
