There are regions where we are absolute leaders and earn as much money as all other competitors combined. And in some regions we are absolute outsiders: our market share is 5%. It turns out that the approach to work in these regions for us, as a large telecommunications company, should be different. And we try to make it the same in the geographical principle within the macroregion, and this is a problem.

What is the likelihood of winning the market share if you put a billion in this region, because the competitor also will not stand still? The issue of the value of each embedded ruble to each specific region is the key issue of the effectiveness of our business.

Therefore, we have decided to combine macroregions in the pool according to certain features. The new management model is based on the creation of four clusters, in each of which have entered economically similar regional branches. Management structure in the transformation stage, talk about the results is too early. In gigantic businesses, where it is about hundreds of millions of customers, there are no quick results. Instant results can only bring the tariffs ten times.

For VimpelCom to catch up with a "big twice", a miracle should happen. For Tele2 to be part of the "big fourth", it should happen five wonders in a row. I'm talking about the scale of the company.

As for the profitability of the business: both of us, and at MegaFon, and the "VimpelCom" approximately the same profitability is about 40%. This suggests that we differ in scale from other market participants seriously, while maintaining the level of profitability, which is typical of the entire market.

In more than 40 regions, we are leaders, except Moscow and St. Petersburg, where we occupy a second position. Even in 20 regions, we "Boday" with competitors - about equal. In 15 regions, we feel weak. Naturally, in such regions we have white spots. But we do not have too sharply the question of how to close them faster. The market so distributed that the striker loses more than defending.

Free communications and technology of the future

I think that in the future, in the medium term, the operators should not take money from customers. We should not live on the money that the customer should pay for the satisfaction of their communicative needs. This is a cellular connection, streaming, whatever. All we give Him should be free.

What should we earn earn in this case? This means that only every tenth person can use the LTE network with high-speed advantages. Each second can use the 3G network, and the rest have not yet a smartphone, but a "dialer". So the next mass stage of construction will begin only in 2017-2018.
