What tomato seeds are good without pochinkovsky. Which tomato seeds are best for open field

Tomatoes

In the middle of winter, gardeners and gardeners begin to acquire seeds for planting seedlings. Tomatoes, the best varieties and reviews of which we will consider today, are sold in stores in huge quantities. Almost every novice vegetable grower, choosing from the assortment, focuses on the external data of the variety, but not on the recommendations for planting, and this is wrong. Which tomato seeds are best for open field and which are suitable for growing in greenhouses? This is what you need to pay attention to. As part of this review, we will try to help as much as possible with the choice of the most suitable variety.

How to choose the right tomato seeds: gardeners reviews

Any gardener who has been working on his site for several years will say that the variety should be chosen as adapted as possible to the climate of the region and to the characteristics of the soil. For example, in the southern regions, tomatoes can grow both on high-quality black soil and on mixed soil. In varieties adapted to the south, the leaves will grow in such a way as to hide the fruits from the excessively scorching sun.

If you need to grow tomatoes in northern latitudes, then you need to choose those that are specially bred for the climate. These are cold-resistant, early maturing. Such varieties will be demanding on the composition of the soil, the leaves on them are more rare than those of those bred for the south. The sparsely growing foliage allows the fruit to receive the maximum amount of sunlight, warmth and minerals.

Producers of tomato seeds, according to gardeners' reviews, rarely indicate regional destination on packages, and you have to choose the most suitable one yourself, which is why we wrote this information.

It is also important to pay attention to the ripening time. Almost everything is suitable for the southern regions, because the harvest can be obtained from the latest varieties. For the northern and eastern regions of Russia, only early maturing are suitable, for the middle lane - early and mid-maturing.

A good harvest cannot be obtained if you do not take care of the tomatoes, including the stable tying of the bushes. If there is no time or desire for this, then it is better to choose a low-growing variety. The bushes will be compact, do not take up much space and save time on tying.

Tomato classification by type of growth

When choosing, it is worth paying attention to this information in order to get a harvest for sure. The varieties are classified as follows:

  1. Indeterminate varieties are those where the central stem grows indefinitely. For the most part, they are suitable for growing in greenhouses, but they can also bear fruit well in the southern latitudes in the open field.
  2. Determinant. If you are thinking about which tomato seeds are best for open ground, gardeners' reviews will be almost unanimous: these are the ones. The bushes are medium in size, bear fruit well without sheltering a greenhouse in any regions of Russia. Early ripe.
  3. Superdeterminant. Ultra-early ripening varieties, undersized, adapted for regions with a capricious, cold climate.

Choice by purpose

An important factor in choosing tomato seeds is their purpose. That is, what they will be used for: salted, for fresh salads, for juice or fresh storage for a long time. You need to familiarize yourself with the following information:

  • - these are large fruits with thin skin and aromatic, fleshy pulp;
  • for canning, these are small and even small fruits, few seeds, tight flesh and dense skin;
  • universal - medium fruits, tasty juicy pulp, tight skin, suitable for salads and juice making, as well as for canning;
  • for storage - only late-ripening varieties with good keeping quality, tight skin are selected, fruits are small and dense.

The color, size, flavor and shape of tomatoes are not the main criteria, and their choice depends only on personal preference.

Should I choose a pure variety or a hybrid?

Any novice vegetable grower asks this question. To determine which tomato seeds are best, you need to familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of hybrids and pure varieties.

Advantages of a pure variety: low cost of seeds, you can independently harvest seeds in the future, stable characteristics.

Cons of the variety: lower yields compared to hybrid tomatoes, low resistance to various diseases.

Pluses of hybrids: high yields, stable fruiting, amicable ripening, disease-resistant, excellent presentation.

Cons: seeds are more expensive than varietal ones, it will not be possible to prepare material for further planting on your own.

How to pick up seeds?

You need to buy planting material only in specialized stores. If you have any doubts about a particular variety, just consult the seller.

The package must contain the main characteristics of the variety. When planting tomatoes for the first time, you cannot stop at one variety, you need to take at least four, and then choose the most suitable one from them. We've covered the best tomato seeds from reviews, but everyone has their own opinion, experiment!

How to harden seeds and protect them from pests?

Seed treatment in potassium permanganate will protect against viruses. It is necessary to dilute a gram of powder in a glass of water, place the seeds in cheesecloth and soak in the solution for twenty minutes, then rinse with water.

After washing, the seeds must be hardened. In the same gauze (wet), place them in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf. In two days, the material is ready for planting! Hardened seeds will produce strong seedlings that will not be afraid of cold weather!

Even the best Siberian tomato seeds for greenhouses, according to gardeners, can give a low yield when the temperature fluctuates. This is why it is highly recommended to harden the seed.

There is a wide range of tomato seeds in shops for gardeners, but they all differ in variety and quality. The correct choice of seeds is the key to a good harvest. Some varieties are intended for growing vegetables in a greenhouse, others for outdoor cultivation. Before buying, it is important to decide not only on the place where the tomatoes will grow, but also on the variety. Some varieties are suitable for salting, others for raw consumption. Tomatoes vary in shape, size, color and flavor. There are yellow, red, pink, brown, brindle.

How to choose the right variety?

With the wrong selection of plant seeds, as a result, the desired yield may not be obtained. Before buying this or that variety, you need to decide on the place of cultivation. Tomato bushes grow in a greenhouse and in the air in different ways, and they also bear a different amount of fruit. The method of growing and the rules for caring for the plant is different.

An important rule: when choosing a tomato variety or hybrid, you should pay attention to its growing conditions.

All varieties and hybrids differ in taste. They are disclosed under certain conditions. If the growing and care conditions are violated, the tomato will change its taste. According to this principle, varieties are divided:

  • For salting. Medium-sized fruits with firm pulp and a lot of sugar. Taste qualities are revealed only after salting.
  • For canning. Smaller than medium tomatoes with a firm crust that does not crack when poured with hot marinade.
  • For the salad. They can be of different sizes, weights, have a different taste and aroma, the main thing is that the fruits are sugar and with fleshy pulp.
  • For making sauces. The grains are free in the pulp, which is the main difference between the variety.

Any mature tomato can be used strictly for the intended variety or in any other capacity. However, in this case, he will not fully reveal his taste.

Greenhouse tomatoes

Before choosing a variety for growing in a greenhouse, you need to consider:

  • culinary destination of the harvest;
  • greenhouse conditions;
  • yield level;
  • fruit collection time;
  • resistance to various diseases.

Varieties and hybrids can be grown in the greenhouse. Hybrids are crossed tomato varieties that cannot be re-planted. From varietal fruits, you can get seeds for a new harvest. Greenhouse varietal tomatoes are distinguished by high yield, increased requirements for growing conditions. Hybrid tomatoes are more hardy, tolerate climatic changes well, and can be grown in low temperatures, for example, in Siberia, where the summer is rather cold and rainy.

The best greenhouse tomatoes

The F1 buddy is distinguished by its early maturation. The fruits can be stored for a long time and transported over long distances. Bushes grow up to 60 cm, a large number of fruits outweigh the stems, so they require additional support. Tomatoes of this variety are red, round. On average, 1 tomato weighs 100 g. The taste is sugar, the pulp is fleshy.

Alyosha Popovich is a truly heroic tomato, the bush of which grows up to 1.8 meters high, and therefore requires a garter to a support. Fruits reach a weight of 250 g, grow in clusters 4-6 pieces at a time. Top tomatoes for open ground

The most delicious and productive tomatoes for growing in the open field can be divided by size, color, taste, as well as reviews of vegetable growers. Due to the constant exposure to the sun, all street tomatoes have a unique taste and aroma. Most varieties are suitable for fresh consumption, but there are also varieties of fruit for preservation for the winter.

Alpatieva 905 A belongs to the early maturing varieties for conservation, the first fruits ripen within 3 months from the moment of planting. The bushes of the plant are 45 cm tall, the fruits grow in clusters, have a silvery shade until ripening, then they turn red. The weight of one tomato is 60 g.

Alpatieva 905 A

Anastasia F1 belongs to unpretentious hybrids that perfectly cope with various weather conditions, adapt to open ground, and can withstand many diseases. The fruits are large, red, weighing about 200 grams. The tomatoes are sweet to taste. The sugary pulp does not spread when slicing, so the hybrid can be used for making salads, as a vegetable cut.

Anastasia F1

The Raspberry Giant is the best variety for salads and fresh consumption. Large pink fruits are very sweet and juicy. The mass of one tomato is 800 g. Tomatoes can be of different shapes.

Crimson giant

According to the reviews of vegetable growers, these are the most productive varieties. It is quite simple to grow such varieties and hybrids, since they do not require special care, and thanks to sunlight, they accumulate a large amount of useful substances.

Tall plants

Tall varieties of tomatoes are loved by all vegetable growers, since many fruits ripen on tall bushes that occupy a small amount of land on the site. The height of the bushes starts from 1.5 meters. If necessary, you can limit the growth of the bush by pinning the top of its head. The plant must be fixed on the trellis, otherwise the stem will break under the weight of the tomatoes. Indeteminate tomatoes ripen slowly, with the same bush being harvested at different times.

The Sharp F1 hybrid has a developed green bush. This is an early variety, the first red rounded tomatoes appear 100 days after planting. The largest fruit weighs about 220 g. A large harvest is obtained due to the long fruiting of the hybrid. Red tomatoes can be removed from the bush for the rest of the season.

What - ? With such a variety of varieties in stores, you need to choose the ones that are best suited to your conditions. Tomato varieties are different for greenhouses and open ground.

Tomato varieties also differ in ripening time and in the type of growth of the bush - indeterminate (tall) or determinant (undersized).

Low-growing varieties of tomatoes are less demanding to care for, but produce fewer fruits. Tall varieties need tying, but their yield is higher.
For salting - not all varieties are suitable either. In addition, there are lovers of yellow or dark tomatoes. What is more important to you - only you can determine. Check out the varieties of tomatoes. Surely you will find the best tomato variety just for your garden.

Differences in tomato varieties

Each tomato variety has its own face. Behind each are years of labor of breeders and decades of popular selection. The beauty of today's best tomato varieties is precisely in the variety. So we "exploit" both tomato hybrids, and varieties with unlimited growth - indeterminate, and semi-determinant, and determinant, the average height of which mostly ranges from 70-80 cm, and low-growing vegetables, whose growth does not exceed half a meter (all of them we will analyze the differences and features in the article below).

You cannot advise relying on outside experience, as some do, knowingly bringing in not entirely truthful information about the harvest (quantity and quality) of grown tomatoes. They say here they are - the best varieties of tomatoes of the past (and, further, in descending numbers) for tomatoes of the year. For all, however, it should be noted that they often focus on the varieties of plants for open and closed ground proposed for planting, without understanding that the advice will be good only after personal experience - it is better for at least 3-4 years (honestly, but extremely rarely , and 2 are sometimes enough) and with meticulous experiments (starting with the addition of Vermiculite to the soil, the growth stimulator Gumi and, ending with top dressing: magnesium sulfate, mineral fertilizer Fertika - Kemira, and so on - already in the garden) for each grade.

Why do I give such a period? Yes, because it is absolutely necessary to take into account the weather, which is completely different from year to year, and this is the minimum, in my opinion, time to have a little bit of an idea about each variety of tomatoes.

Tomato growing technology

Tomato F1 Semko 2005

The tomato is suitable both for open ground and under film shelters (greenhouses). Determinate, medium-sized, compact. Resistant to soil salinity, drought, high temperatures, growing well in open ground in both southern and northern regions. Vegetables practically do not get sick with viral and fungal diseases, even late blight. Early ripe hybrid (90 days). The brushes contain 5-7 pcs. fruits weighing about 100 g. The shape of tomatoes is pepper-cylindrical with a spout, very dense, salting type. The hybrid yields from 1 square to one and a half buckets of standard fruits. The first brush is formed immediately after the growth of the sixth leaf. The fruits are unrealistically dense for such an early tomato, besides, they are by no means small - 130 g. In shape, they are round hearts with a beautiful pointed tip. In the open field, we usually produce a thickened planting - 5-6 bushes per 1 square. The best harvest from such an area is at least a bucket. The hybrid is highly resistant to bacteria, fungi and viruses. Does not crack and does not suffer from top rot of the fruit. It successfully withstands high temperatures and dry soil.

Tomato F1 Orange Spam

The newest indeterminate hybrid (in the register since 2015) - tested by us, everything is fine - created taking into account all possible greenhouse cataclysms. At first, ties well even in the heat, as well as during temperature extremes.
Secondly, hardy to problem soil substrate. Thirdly, shows high resistance to viral, fungal and bacterial infections. The yield of vegetables varies between 20-30 kg / 1 square meter. Medium-early hybrid (100 days from green shoots). Clusters begin to form after 7-9 leaves, each bearing 5-6 tomatoes in the form of rounded hearts, smooth, beautiful, attractive orange color. The weight of the "heart" is 160-190 g. The pulp has a high percentage of dry matter, sugars, carotenoids. The fruits are quite dense, do not crumple during transportation. Appointment - salad. Created as a variant of the orange color of another hybrid - Tomato Pink Spam.

Tomato Russian Empire F1

Brushes of 6-8 tomatoes weighing 130-150 g. Fruits are plum-shaped, slightly tapering downwards. They are deep red in color, thick-skinned, with a high percentage of dry matter. They are stored calmly when ripe for 4-5 weeks. In greenhouse conditions, the hybrid successfully resists fungal diseases. The best yield is about 10 kg per 1 sq.m. Included in the state register in 2010.

Indeterminate hybrid of a new generation, in the state register since 2011. Medium-early (100 days + - 2 days from germination).

Tomato F1 Cherry strawberry

In the register since 2015. The bushes are semi-determinate, beautiful, a meter and a half in height. Suitable in any ground - open or closed. Plants require pinching. Multiple clusters bear up to 30 fruits with a sweet taste and an ideal "strawberry" shape. The mass is typical for classic cherry - 25 g. Due to the strong skin, the fruits can be stored for a long time. Early hybrid: ripe fruits appear 91-93 days after sprouts emerge. The plant is resistant to fusarium wilt.

Tomato F1 Caspar

The bush, usually up to the first brush, is not high - 60 cm. The fruits of the plants are cylindrical with a spout, the length fluctuates around 11 cm, and the weight is 95-115 g. They are very dense, without juice. They can be conveniently salted with cucumbers of the same size.

The average ripening period is 115 days. The hybrid is intended for open ground, or planted under low shelters; plant from three to four bushes of vegetables on a square.

Valya f1 tomatoes belong to early maturing tall hybrids of medium yield. The bushes easily and quickly reach a height of 200 cm. In the register since 2015.
Productivity within 20 kg per square meter. On average, one bush brings 7 kg of delicious and beautiful tomatoes. Tomatoes ripen at the same time, reaching 200-250 g in weight. The fruits have a regular, rounded, slightly oblong shape. The scope of use of tomatoes is very wide. Salads are prepared from the first fruits. As the harvest increases, the fruits are used for winter preparations, as well as juices, ketchups, pastes, sauces and lecho. Tomatoes retain their commercial qualities for a long time, tolerate transportation and long-term storage well.

II. Indeterminate varieties (growth is not limited)

These are tomatoes that will grow until they turn blue until the owner or the onset of the cold season stops them. They have a great potential for productivity, which is more successfully realized in tall greenhouses. Place about three bushes on 1 square. With supports, such as strong trellises, open ground is not prohibited, which will be especially welcome in the southern regions. In the conditions of the Middle Lane, they will require enhanced nutrition and regular pinching: they are allowed in 1-2 stems. Vegetables grow 2 meters or more in height without any problems.

Good for salting, sweet ... This is a patented mid-early variety (Siberian breeders distinguished themselves!).
In the state register since 2007. They are characterized by a high ability to form ovaries in any conditions.
From 1 square meter it is possible to get a bucket and a half. The brushes are arranged in tiers, at the lower branches the mass of fruits reaches 120 g, the uppermost ones are half as much. Tomatoes are elongated-cylindrical, mainly with a spout, deep pink, dense, but at the same time sugary. Ideal for pickling and pickling in size, shape and consistency.

Very easy to use.
Mid-early Siberian variety for canning whole vegetables. The fruits are elongated, reaching (maximum in our conditions) 13-14 cm in length, weighing about 120 g, of a beautiful raspberry hue. They are low-seeded, very fleshy, strong, lying. If they are removed green, they do not deteriorate and ripen perfectly. The variety is very responsive to high-quality feeding.

The longest

A novelty of Siberian selection. It begins to ripen already on the 110th (you can add a couple more) day from the sprouts that have appeared on the soil surface. Fruits of a unique length - 20 cm (specific size)! They are strongly elongated, with a small pear-shaped constriction in the upper part, evenly slightly widen downward, with a spout. The clusters of vegetables bear up to seven red fruits weighing up to 180-190 g. The products are successful in transportation, long-term storage, salting. Collection - at least a bucket from three plants.

High yield

The variety is fruitful and not capricious. Put up with a little shading. Ties well. Neither high nor low temperatures are terrible. It succeeds in greenhouses, but cultivation in the open air is not prohibited. Tomatoes begin to ripen in 106-113 days; at the same time, the plant successfully continues to grow and form brushes - up to 10 pieces per bush. Each one bears up to eight graceful fruits - cylindrical and pointed-nosed, in full ripeness - iridescent pink color. The mass of each of the vegetables is 100-120 g. They have a high percentage of sugars and dry matter. They do not burst in salting, are good for drying, getting thick juice and, oddly enough in your opinion, tomato jam. With diligent care, the bush is capable of producing up to a bucket of quality fruit.

Heavy brushes

This mid-early vegetable variety has been in the state register since 2010. The bush is tall, but compact in width. It has a highly branched root system, responsive to increased nutrition and good water supply. A valuable feature of this Siberian variety is its multi-fruited clusters, each of which bears up to 14 fruits weighing 85-115 g. On the bush there is a "waterfall" of fruits - perfectly aligned, oval, with a charming nose, bright scarlet. The brush can weigh more than 1 kg, but does not wrinkle. Tomatoes are dense, transportable, stored for a long time.

Meaty and sweet

This is one of the sweetest and fleshy creations of Siberian breeders. It has been registered in the state register since 2007. The tomato is mid-season (116-118 days from the emergence of sprouts), with large foliage. The fruits resemble long sharp-nosed peppers - they grow up to 15 cm. They are elegant red in color, the mass ranges from 120-185 g. There is very little water and seeds in the pulp of vegetables. In the best case, there are up to a dozen fruits in one brush. One bush gives 2-3 kg.

Excellent ovary

Included in the lists of the state register in 2005. The variety rightfully takes a place in the circle of the most productive Siberian varieties (up to 20 kg from a square of land in a greenhouse). Ties perfectly even in hot indoor environments. Plants with a powerful bush with large leaves require increased nutrition and careful pinching. The first ovary is formed after regrowth of the 12th leaf, then inflorescences are formed every 3 leaves. Refers to varieties of medium ripening periods; in Siberia, about half of the harvest ripens on the vine; the rest of the fruits turn red rather well when ripening. Tomatoes in the lower clusters of vegetables are 300 g in weight, above - not less than 150 g. The shape is elongated, heart-shaped, even, beautiful.

Vitamin and sweet

Ripe tomatoes are golden-orange in color and contain a record amount of carotene group vitamins. The pulp is sweet and aromatic, like berries and fruits. Ripening period is average.
The lower fruits are capable of filling up to a mass of 400-450 g, higher in the bush - 200-300 g. They are oval, often with a spout. Clusters in plants grow through the leaf, each on average, as stated, up to 5 fruits. The yield is high. The keeping quality is excellent. Especially tasty when salted with gelatin.

Vintage hearts

Approximate internodes and a powerful trunk with dense foliage - as in the standard varieties, only the height is two meters.
The Siberian breeding novelty produces half a bucket of fruits from one such "tree".
Ripening begins on the 115th day. Forms up to 6 beautiful clusters with 5-7 red tomatoes weighing 200-250 grams, shaped like strawberries. Due to the shortened internodes, the brushes are brought together, the bush looks powerful and effective, like a small tree, decorates the greenhouse. Dense "strawberry" fruits have a good taste, ripen well, universal use. They are especially good when canned.

Resistant to cracking

The variety is an improved version of the Bovine Heart, with a higher yield (about 9.4 kg per square), early maturity, good resistance to diseases (even to phytophthora) for a fleshy variety and cracking of the apical tissue of the fruit. Heart shaped tomatoes, ribbed, excellent taste. The purpose is usually salad, although they are very good in traditional barrel pickling using the fermentation method. The first ripe tomatoes are ready for picking 108-118 days after germination. For 1kg. there are 3-5 fruits.

Record mass

The variety is a novelty of the team of breeders under the leadership of V.F. Gavrish. Registered in the state register in 2015. For unrealistically large fruits of vegetables it is included in the series "Russian Bogatyr". The variety is not too fast in terms of ripening (from 120 days), therefore, it requires early planting for seedlings, especially careful pinching and decent feeding. In Siberia and Central Russia, it works well only in greenhouses, including a greenhouse. The average output from a bush is 3.6 (plus or minus) kg, a record - 7 kg. Tomatoes are flat-round, slightly ribbed, of excellent smell and very juicy, each weighing 400-600 g, not uncommon - 800 g. In one plant brush there are 2-3 tomatoes; if you leave only one tomato in it, then it can pull more than 1 kg. Such "heroes" are better suited for salads and juice distillation.

A bowl of lettuce from one fruit

One of the best salad novelties, the yield is high. The plant bears 5-6 brushes. The fruits look very attractive due to their raspberry-pink color, large up to 500-800 g. Tomatoes are flat-round, ribbed, sweet. High resistance to cracking; pulp density is average. A rare quality for large-fruited varieties: the fruits do not tend to quickly soften and deteriorate during storage.

In terms of ripening, the variety belongs to medium-early and medium-ripe. Perfect for preparing blanks: tomato paste, juice. This tomato variety has a high yield. Up to 5-6 kilograms of tomatoes can be removed from one bush.

Giant orange sweetness

Possesses plasticity, rare for a large-fruited variety, and relative unpretentiousness. Delicate sweet pulp combines with excellent keeping quality. The tomatoes are round-flat (they have a little "ribs"), sunny orange color. The average weight of a tomato is 0.5 kg., But in reality there are fruits on the bush and 1 kg. Each bush can bring half a bucket of tomatoes (with normal farming practices). The variety is mid-season and requires early sowing. We grow in greenhouses with obligatory pinching.

Sweet babies

Cherry tomatoes, original in shape and color. Golden-yellow "pears" weight 30 g. Potato-type foliage, the plant's bush is incredibly branched: stepchildren strive to grow even at the ends of flower brushes. But in the greenhouse, you still need to remove the branches (at least partially), otherwise you will get a jungle. The clusters of vegetables are multi-fruited and the overall yield is very good. Fruits on the clusters from below ripen 105 days after germination.

Plum sweets

A modern variety of breeders under the leadership of V.F. Gavrish, a novelty in the cherry tomato group - the Monisto series. The year of entry into the state register is 2015. First harvest on day 115.
Oval tomatoes, weighing 25-40 g, collected in a brush of 30 pieces. The variety - the most unusual in color - of tomatoes. It has fruits of a brown-burgundy hue, with a specific set of vitamins and an original taste. The pulp is sweet and sugary.
Such cherries are especially good in whole-fruited pickling and preservation. Due to the increased accumulation of dry matter, these tomatoes are stored unchanged for a long time. They can be dried and dried, resulting in a product akin to raisins.

III. Semi-determinant varieties (high in the greenhouse, medium in the ground)

Bushes are very convenient in growing, which do not stretch uncontrollably up, but are capable of timely self-restraint. At the same time, the solid height provides excellent yields. The versatility also attracts: the possibility of landing anywhere. True, in the open ground you will need supports, but not very high ones. Semi-determinant varieties, as a rule, are not too late, usually mid-early or mid-season. But you still need to pinch them. In the open air, some varieties may require edging towards the end of the season (on average, early August). The standard height is from one to 1.5 (and a little higher) meters (this is observed in a greenhouse).

Large, fast, productive

A wonderful variety in all respects. Created by the labor of a team of famous Siberian breeders (V.N.Dederko, T.N. Postnikova, Yabrov A.A.). The variety has a state patent, it has been registered in the register since 2005. In terms of ripening, medium early. The plant develops at a rapid pace: true leaves are released early in seedlings, quickly grows ovaries. Formation of the first brush - after the tenth leaf. The fruits are heart-shaped in shape, in the lower part they taper with a slight bend, justifying their name. Tomatoes have an attractive light raspberry color. Average weight 270-360 g; in the lower brushes there is also 800 g, in the upper ones - 200 g. The pulp is sugary, fleshy (a little bit of seeds). Marked: good ripening and excellent keeping quality. A significant part of the vegetable harvest is ripening on the vine. From a bush we get half a bucket with a guarantee and even more. One of the most successful, unpretentious and tasty large-fruited varieties.

The sweetest

The patented author's variety of Dederko and Postnikova, has been registered in the state register since 2007. It looks like the Golden Koenigsberg (of the same authors), which has no patent and is not included in the register. A powerful plant bush needs compulsory pinching. The harvest is high, they harvested 7.7 kg from the bush. Oval tomatoes with a spout, even, weighing 150-170 g; the first fruits are elongated-heart-shaped, weighing 300 - 350 g. Tomatoes are bright orange, high-vitamin. The pulp with a low percentage of acidity, buttery consistency, reminiscent of apricot. Delicate taste is combined with the highest keeping quality of the fruit - more than a hundred days.

Sugar raspberry

Mid-season tomato with high adaptive abilities. It is resistant to diseases and temperature extremes. But with sharp fluctuations in moisture and excess moisture in the soil, it can burst. However, on the other hand, regular watering is necessary. Responsive to any feeding. Fruits of an appetizing dark crimson color. The flesh is watermelon-like, sugary. The weight of tomatoes is from 290 to 560 grams and even more. The variety of these vegetables was included in the register in 2007.
The bush is about 1.5 meters high, the leaf is large, dark green. The inflorescence is simple. A garter of the plant to a support and pinching is required. The best results were obtained when forming a 2-stem bush. The second trunk is the stepson located below the first flower cluster. The rest of the side shoots must be removed

Unpretentious and sweet

A plastic Siberian variety, easily adaptable to temperature extremes: from high to low and vice versa. Trusted and reliable. Ripening period is average, purpose: processing is welcomed, better emphasizes the taste in salads. Indoors, it can give up to 5 kg. from one bush. Classic heart-shaped tomatoes, smooth, beautiful. When fully ripe, they turn into a rich orange color. Most of the harvest ripens well on the vine, the rest of the fruits ripen well. They are characterized by excellent transportability and keeping quality. The mass of fruits in the lower clusters reaches 420-530 g, closer to the top - 150-200 g. The pulp is tasty, sweet, healing. Registered in the state register since 2005.

Sugar pink

In terms of ripening times, this popular variety is classified as mid-early.
Included in the state register in 1998. Recommended for growing under film shelters in all regions of the Russian Federation. The variety is not intended for industrial cultivation, but is appreciated by owners of small household plots.
The foliage is almost identical to the potato tops. The clusters of plants are surprisingly multi-fruited - they bear the declared 5-7 tomatoes weighing 200-400 g. From one bush we get up to 3 kg of fruits. They are flatly rounded, ribbed, with a fleshy sweet pulp. The variety loves feeding. The bush has a spreading shape, requires compulsory garter and shaping.

Piggy bank carotene

In 1999, a variety was added to the state register, created at the Moscow Timiryazev Academy on the basis of varieties such as folk selection. An interesting hybrid that combines many qualities: external beauty, taste and yield.
Medium-early (110-115 days), with long-term fruiting. The bushes are not too sprawling, with dense large foliage. The first inflorescence comes out over the 7th leaf. In a cluster there are from 3 to 4 tomatoes - rounded, slightly ribbed, rich orange, weighing 230-360 g. The pulp is juicy. There is a fragrant sourness in the taste. The main value of the variety is the highest content of carotenoid vitamins. Vegetable yield is moderate.

Large and unpretentious

The variety perfectly adapts to greenhouse heat and cold outside. Brings a decent harvest even when the year is unfavorable for growing - up to two buckets from 1 square. The tomatoes are rounded, slightly flattened, ribbed. Weight 0.5 kg or more. The pulp is firm. Ripening period is average; in the open field about half of the fruit ripens. In the state register since 2005. Tomato Bull's forehead is an early variety that begins to bear fruit three months after planting. Not a hybrid, so the seeds can be used to plant seedlings for the next year. This variety was called a bovine forehead because of the unusual shape and large size of the tomatoes.

Folk selection

Registered in the state register by the company "NK Russian Garden" in 2001. A long-standing variety of folk selection, packaged by different companies. Mid-season tomato for salad purposes. Tomatoes are round, flattened, moderately ribbed, sunny orange. They are meaty and sweet. In 1 kg - 2-3 fruits. Record weight of 700 g. Possesses a rare quality for a meaty variety - resistant to cracking. Up to 1.5 buckets of fruit can be harvested from 1 square meter. Orange tomatoes contain much more beta-carotene than other color varieties. Therefore, these tomatoes are extremely popular among gardeners. The Orange Giant tomato is famous for its high yield and excellent taste.

Heavyweight

The newest variety (in the register since 2014) with self-limiting growth up to 1.5 m. The ripening period is medium early, with a long fruiting period. On the bush ripen large flat rounded tomatoes of intense pink color. The mass of fruits reaches 600 g. Tomatoes have dense flesh, sugary at the break, there are a small amount of seeds in the chambers. The total collection of vegetables reaches 4.8-5.2 kg per bush. Fruits are slightly ribbed, flat-round, heavy. Average weight - 400 g. Delicate, harmonious taste. Large tomatoes are not prone to cracking during ripening. The variety needs feeding.

Cordate

The newest mid-early variation of the Bull's Heart in the Siberian format. Raspberry-pink fruits are large at the same time, exquisitely beautiful, sugar-tasting and kink. Medium-early, from germination to maturity 110-115 days. The plant is strong, 1.2-1.8 m high, depending on growing conditions. Fruits are elongated, heart-shaped, crimson-pink, with a moire tint, weighing 400-700 g. The pulp is light-sugar, sweet-sour and very aromatic. There is a balance of taste in terms of the content of sugars and acids, typically "tomato". Recommended for growing in open and protected ground. Productivity up to 5 kg per plant.

The promise of record harvests

The mid-season novelty promises a decent yield in the open field. The innovative Superbomba tomato is successfully grown in various regions of the country. He is not afraid of intense heat, scorching sun, dry air.
Fruit set is consistently high. Tomato Superbomb needs enhanced nutrition and moderate pinching. In the brush, 5-6 tomatoes weighing 300-600 g are marked. They are fleshy, round-flattened. The plant is compact, with self-limiting growth.

Unique shape

An original new variety from the agrofirm "Aelita", in the state register since 2013. For fans of unusual tomatoes. An early variety (105 days is not uncommon), with an extended yield and a total yield of 9.6 kg per 1 square. An interesting pear-shaped tomato with pronounced ribs. Fruit weight 185-270 gr. Appointment - salad. The color of ripe tomatoes is muted red. The pulp is tender, fleshy, juicy, with few seeds. Indeterminate bush, up to 1.5 m high, moderately leafy, with a powerful root system.

The Puzata khata tomato variety is easy to care for, large, sugary fruits have excellent taste and good keeping quality.

Acid free

The variety was registered by the Gavrish agricultural company in the state register in 2015 under the name The Frog Princess. The bushes are vigorous, the leaves are medium in size. Ripening period is mid-early or mid-season (112-123 days). Fruit weight 235-280 gr. They are flat-rounded, slightly ribbed, light green with the lower part turning yellow when ripe. In full maturity, the vegetables are golden-greenish, with a slight bronze tint. The pulp is juicy, with a dietary taste with low acidity. The yield from 1 plant in the open field reaches 5.6 kg per square; in a greenhouse - a maximum of one and a half times higher. Appointment salad. The green color of ripe tomatoes is due to the high chlorophyll content in tomatoes. chlorophyll promotes the elimination of harmful substances from the human body, saturates the circulatory system with oxygen, accelerates cell regeneration and has a positive effect on the immune system

IV. Determinant varieties (60-90 cm high)

These are plants for open ground, greenhouses with a low ceiling and greenhouses. Place 4-6 bushes on one square. A garter and moderate pinching (at least up to the first brush) are imperative. In this group there are mainly early ripening and medium early varieties.

Early orange cream

The result of targeted Moldovan selection for a high content of carotene in fruits. In the Russian register since 2000. It cannot boast of a high yield - a bucket can be collected from two to three square meters of plantings. Valued as a vitamin product. The greatest return from the bush is observed when forming in the declared 3 - 4 stems: for this, 2-3 stepsons are left above the first brush. The maximum height of the plant is 60 cm.
The initial inflorescence is formed after the 6th or 7th leaflet. The clusters usually bear 6-7 fruits. They start to ripen early (on the 105th day). Fruits weighing 46-57 g, oval-cylindrical, dense. Ideal options for processing: canning and pickling whole fruits, creating multi-colored assortments. Bushes and fruits are not very susceptible to all kinds of diseases.

Unpretentious

The variety is early - 95 days pass before the first ripe fruits. Fruits are oval, bright scarlet color, unusually dense - they can withstand long transportation, do not crumple, strong in salting. Weight 60-120 g. Sprawling bush, self-limiting growth at a meter height. The plant firmly endures any whims of the weather. It was created as a productive and hardy industrial variety to replace the old Novichok variety. The vegetables are listed in 2006. Advantages of tomato Lisa: resistance to diseases, unpretentiousness to growing conditions and temperature changes, high taste and technological qualities, suitability for long-term transportation. Recommended for fresh consumption, conservation, especially in its own juice.

Pink glitter

The Supermodel tomato variety is becoming popular among gardeners. This is one of the newer, recently bred varieties. It belongs to the Altai selection and was registered in 2012. The variety is determinant. Such tomatoes are considered the earliest and fastest ripening, which explains all the features of the appearance of these varieties. Specifically, the Supermodel variety is mid-early, since 100-120 days pass from planting seeds to ripening. This is the so-called "standard" variety: it has the lowest and strongest stem of all early-ripening tomatoes. The bush of this tomato grows small and compact, its size does not exceed 70 cm, and the leaves are medium-sized and dark green. The height of the plant is a little over half a meter, it bears 1.6-2.2 kg of fruits weighing 85-110 g.

A triumph of taste

The newest work of an experienced team of Siberian agronomists. The variety was entered in the register in 2013. The selection was aimed at obtaining a taste for the most demanding. Fruits are round, slightly ribbed on top, pure yellow in color. Weight 180-260 g. Average density, purpose - salad. Medium ripening. Recommended for growing in open ground and temporary shelters. Requires a garter and two-stem plant formation. The bush is strong, standard type. The color of an unripe fruit is light green, without a green spot at the base, while a mature fruit is yellow. The number of slots is 4-6. The taste is excellent. The yield of the variety in the open field is a maximum of 6.4 kg per square.

Dreams Come True (jokingly colloquial)

An excellent combination of a not too tall bush and large fleshy fruits. The brushes are usually located after a couple of leaves, providing a collection of up to 3 kg per plant. And under the shelter (but better outdoors) heart-shaped tomatoes weighing 300-800 g are poured. The taste is excellent. An incredible ripening period for this large-fruited tomato variety. Needs good feeding. The variety has a state patent, in the register since 2008.

Brushes 2 kg

The latest achievement of Siberian breeding. The mid-season (115 days) variety welcomes both open ground and a greenhouse. The plant has a powerful shrub with dark foliage, demanding on mineral nutrition. Be sure to stepchild; if not "slammed", then to the first brush. Each inflorescence ties up to five densely seated fruits, each weighing up to 500 g. The shape of the tomatoes is round, slightly flattened on top. The raspberry color of the skin and cool pulp, salad taste are very attractive. Fruits do not burst from moisture changes, do not wrinkle during carrying and transportation, lie for a long time and do not deteriorate.

Golden hearts

In the state register there is a variety with the same name, but it is of a raspberry color, different in all respects. However, one can understand the Siberian breeders who decided to assign this "gold-bearing" name to the yellow-fruited variety. Ripening period - medium-early (110 days). Tomatoes have a heart shape, weight 200-400 g. The pulp is not watery, low acidity and high sweetness. The bush is self-edged after laying five brushes. If we do not shirk from regular watering and dressing, then we will remove a bucket of even marketable fruits from a bush of vegetables from 1 square.

Sugar Buffalo or Redskin Chief

Everything from the firm "Siberian Garden"

By its origin, Sugar Bison is an old variety of folk selection, and many of its varieties are walking around the country, differing in the height and shape of the fruits. The Siberian version is of a determinant type, it grows a maximum of a meter in the open air, in greenhouses a little higher. The surface of the fruit is pink-crimson, with sugary watermelon pulp, heart-shaped or rounded in shape. Vegetable weight varies in the range of 250-600 g. Ripening period - medium early (with regular pinching). It endures bad weather, almost does not get sick.

Here it is necessary to dwell a little in detail: by duplicating the names, agricultural firms introduced a little confusion to the seed market. Hybrid F1 The leader of the Redskins from the St. Petersburg firm "Biotekhnika", not included in the state register, has nothing in common with the variety Leader of the Redskins from the "Siberian Garden". Siberians under this name patented and entered into the state register in 2007 a tomato, which was also produced under the name Sugar Bison. Tomatoes with the name Sugar Bison are also offered by other companies, but as an indeterminate variety.

Most noticeable

One of the favorite mid-season varieties (from folk craftsmen). You will not confuse it with any other varieties, it fully justifies its name: foliage like potatoes, mouth-watering raspberry fruits. Tomatoes are round-flat, slightly ribbed, sugary inside. They are large salad-like, 300-800 g each. Vegetable bush is strong, compact; able to give half a bucket of marketable tomatoes.

Stepson is not necessary

An interesting variety of vegetables with a whole range of valuable characteristics. The plant in seedlings does not stretch. The stem is thick and strong, the bush is compact. Without forming, forms fruits weighing 120-250 g, with pinching - up to 600 g. Tomatoes are dense, of excellent taste.
Ripening time is average. Demonstrates good resistance to fungal infections, and bacterial bypasses in a roundabout way.

Unpretentious Champion

Standard bush, strong, but not too low, fruitful. Fruits are numerous, crimson, cordate-elongated (there is a spout at the tip), weighing 75-150 g. They ripen well on the root, well stored. Ripens early. The plant is shade-tolerant, resistant to cold snaps and diseases. Growing without shaping is allowed. The variety has been in the register since 2007.

V. Low-growing tomatoes (up to 50 cm)

The most problem-free tomatoes are super-determinant, in which the main stem completes its growth at a height of no more than half a meter. Among these tomatoes there are ultra-early ripening, early and medium-early. Some may not even be tied up. The bushes do not stepchild at all, except until the first brush - for an even earlier harvest. If we plant these varieties in the greenhouse, then we assign them the role of such seals (do not forget about plant compatibility!) For the main plantings of other vegetables.

Supersort

Previously, the tomato was produced as Super Pepper, but changed its name for registration in the registry (2007). A favorite soil grade of many amateur summer residents. It works in any year, regardless of the weather. Medium early in terms of timing. In seedlings, it is super compact, stocky, does not stretch. In the ground it grows as a strong bush with closely spaced internodes. The brushes of the plant are laid through the leaf, the number of fruits we grow is somewhat less than the declared ones - 4-6. The first tomatoes are especially large, 275 g were achieved, in appearance - flattened heart-shaped. In the next brushes grow pepper-shaped, 130-200 g each. The color is crimson-pink. The pulp is fleshy, sugary, almost without seeds, like the best salad varieties. This variety is also good in salting. But the fruits cannot be called lingering.

Deservedly popular

A popular, reliable soil variety, known far beyond Siberia and Altai, spread throughout the country, including the Far East. Medium early in terms of ripening (108-114 days). The flower brush appears after 6 or 7 leaves. When working with these standard bushes, we refuse to pinch, due to their small branching. Suitable for thickened planting (risked 5 pieces per 1 square, giving out a bucket harvest from this area). Tomatoes are rounded, sometimes slightly ribbed. Weight 80-160 g. Crimson-pink color; the green speck at the stalk is not immediately stained. Dense pulp with excellent taste. The only whim of the variety is the need for uniform soil moisture, without sudden changes, otherwise the fruits may begin to burst. Taken unripe, the tomatoes ripen perfectly in the bed.

Mysterious

A time-tested variety, in the register since 2004. It has both loyal supporters and opponents: it is difficult to say whether it is the quality of the seeds or the microclimate. In a successful local version, the variety is very plentiful (up to two buckets per square), not painful, compact from the very germination. Standard bush. The pickling of vegetables is minimal. Medium early variety. The first inflorescence of a plant is formed after 9 leaves. Fruits in the lower cluster reach 13-14 cm and weigh 270-330 g. Subsequent ones weigh 80-150 g. All of them, in shape resembling peppers, have a rich red color, fleshy, harmonious taste. Recommended for small farms, garden and backyard plots. Mostly suitable for outdoor cultivation, although indoor cultivation can be done if desired. The Siberian Troika is not a hybrid.

Special

Breeders work a lot with the old folk variety Grushovka, using its genetic material for updated variants. Seed firms offer Grushovka, Moscow Grushovka, hybrid F1 Grushovka pink (Aelita). Not a hybrid Pink Pear from the Siberian company Agros, registered in the register in 2013, it has not a pear-shaped, but an oval shape. Great in salting. The color is pink-scarlet, weight 90-140 g. Ripening period - mid-season. Stamp form - shaping the plant unnecessarily. The yield is approaching 7.5 per square meter, if you do not deviate from the truth.

Early

The variety is zoned in the Urals and Siberia, in the register since 2005. This is an updated version of the old Siberian early ripening variety. An early, amicably ripening salad variety, without pinching. The first brush grows after 7 leaves. Fruits are round, sometimes ribbed, weighing 60-120 g, bright scarlet with an orange tint, rather dense for an early variety.

Harvest per bush - about 2 kg.

Early large

The newest early ripening variety of vegetables (95 days from germination to ripening). But it still needs additional verification of breeding promises. Sweet, heart-shaped fruits with an average weight of 300 g are very beautiful, in the lower brushes they are twice as large. In order not to lose the first brush, it is necessary to plant seedlings in the garden at the age of 40 (in theory 45) days, no more. Therefore, sowing too early is also not needed, they can lead to a shortage of crops and a delay in terms. Be sure to pinch the bushes to the first brush, and then give freedom to branching. With such a formation, it is possible to remove two buckets of tomatoes from 1 square, which is almost unbelievable for a low-growing variety.

Hides fruits

The variety has been in the state register since 2009. In terms of ripening (108-114 days), it is close to mid-early. Plants are standard, compact in seedlings and in the ground. The Klusha tomato variety is determinant, the height of its bushes usually does not exceed 60 cm. Plants are planted at close distance to each other. Growing without pinching is allowed. To get a decent return from the area, we plant 5 pieces per 1 square. Fruit clusters are covered with foliage from above. Fruits weighing 100-150 g, pure red color. The shape is round, slightly flattened, slightly ribbed. The taste is good, the purpose is universal. The variety is characterized by high productivity and resistance to the main pests of nightshade crops.

The bush is small, the harvest is large

The year of entry into the register is 2015. The height of the bush is on average only 35 (plus or minus 2) cm. It never stretches in seedlings. It grows compactly in the ground, the roots also do not "scatter". We plant 6 pieces per square. This allows you to get from such an area up to one and a half buckets of fruit, most of which are ripening on the vine. Medium early variety (100 days). Tomatoes are pink in color, round, slightly ribbed, rather dense, weighing 145-185 g (some even 230 g). Stepson is not necessary. The thick barrel makes it possible to do without even a garter, although it is more reliable with supports. We note the high resistance to diseases.

Original form

The bush is densely hung with bright red tomatoes - "sausages" about 14 cm long and weighing 130 g. Pulp without water, solid "meat". In salting, it is not inferior in density to cucumbers. Standard bushes with a height fluctuating about 40 cm are not stepchild. In each fruit cluster there are declared 5, sometimes 6 "sausages". Ripening is massive, medium early (100 days).
The unusual elongated shape of the fruit allows them to be used for stuffing. And the presence of a large amount of dry substances allows you to get high-quality tomato paste, sauces or juice from them. Cut into wedges suitable for curing and drying.
