Installation of equipment for supplying and draining water

If the pool is located within the city limits or where there is a centralized water supply and sewerage, then, as a rule, there are no problems with supply and drainage. But in the pools, which are located in country houses, water supply and drainage are carried out using pumps of various capacities.

The installation of this equipment must be carried out in accordance with certain rules, otherwise the use of the pool will not be comfortable enough.

Installation of a filtration system

Proper installation of filtering equipment in the construction of swimming pools is of great importance.

Filters must be selected taking into account the volume of water and the speed of its circulation.

Modern filters for swimming pools are capable of producing biological and mechanical water purification using filter cartridges or sand filling.

Installation of disinfection equipment

Such devices are used for metered supply of special chemistry for pools into the pool, capable of suppressing the vital activity of various microorganisms.

Today, ozone, chlorine and activated oxygen are most often used for these purposes. These reagents are mixed with coagulants that bind organic matter and lift it to the surface of the water.

Installation of water heaters

Water heaters are tubular heating elements with an automatic control system. Such pool systems monitor the water temperature and bring it to a predetermined level.

Proper and high-quality installation of water heaters will make your pool as comfortable as possible to use, and fresh, warm and clean water will perfectly relieve stress that has accumulated during a hard day's work.

Installation of additional equipment

Today it is very popular to equip pools with additional equipment - ladders and slides, geysers and hydro massagers.

They can be custom designed to give the pool a unique look.

We also install equipment for artificial lighting and additional pool lighting.

At the request of the client, AstraPool specialists will select and install equipment in the pool to create the effect of an artificial stream or waterfall.

The cost of installation includes the price of equipment for the pool, its delivery to the place of work, testing and adjustment, familiarization of future users with the rules of operation.

An artificial reservoir is a necessary thing for those who live outside the city or visit the country from time to time.

Many owners of country houses dream of building their own pool. And this is a very feasible idea. You can buy a pool, order it from a special company or build it yourself, saving a lot of money.

Depending on the complexity of the design and assembly conditions, there are several types of pools: frame, stationary and inflatable. How difficult the installation of pools will be depends on this.

Frame pools

A similar frame is covered with PVC fabric. A wide choice of sizes and colors will help to make the pool according to your mood.

Pools consisting of a "skeleton", depending on the complexity of execution, are of several types: they can be used only in the warm season, they can be used all year round and a solid design that requires more complex execution. The frame pool consists of a special board, which gives stability and strength to the structure, and, of course, from a water tank.

In order to carry out the installation of a certain pool, which consists of a frame, it is necessary to have the following tools at hand: a set of keys - simple, with six edges and adjustable, screwdrivers, and also a cutting tool. Also, in order to level the place for the site, additional materials will be needed - a wooden peg, high-density polyethylene film, polystyrene or foam boards and adhesive tape.

Installation, step by step

Before installing such a pool, it is necessary to choose the right place for mounting it. The place for the pool should be flat, it is even desirable that the pool itself be located on a small hill for a good outflow of water. There should be no trees or buildings near the pool. In order to create a good place for its installation, you need to level the site, remove all debris - small branches, grass, in order to avoid their decay under the bottom of the device and pour sifted sand in an even layer of 1-1.5 cm over the entire site.

Also near the pool, you need to have access to electricity to connect some of its units, to water in order to fill it and to drain the used water.

Now you can install the pool:

The frame pool is quite easy to install and just as easy to dismantle for the winter.

  1. In the middle of the site, you need to install a small stake made of wood, put the first layer of pool film on it and pierce it with a stake so that the film does not move and remains in place.
  2. We lay foam or polystyrene foam plates on top of the film, slightly shifting them down. After all the plates are laid, they must be fixed together with adhesive tape, and the excess ends of the plates should be cut off with a knife. The thickness of the expanded polystyrene boards must be at least 2 cm.
  3. Then you need to cut the top of the stake so that it is flush with the plates.
  4. We put a special bedding that comes with the pool on the prepared place and position it so that the drain hole is in the right place.
  5. Remove the drain valve from the hose and leave for a couple of minutes so that the pool material can evenly heat up in the sun.
  6. Beams that will be located horizontally have a larger caliber and must be inserted into certain grooves at the bottom of the structure.
  7. Then, using bolts, you need to fasten the hinges to the ends of the beams around the entire perimeter of the structure.
  8. The next step is to install the supports into the loops of the rope. To do this, first insert the lower part of the support into the rope grommet, then the upper part into the hinge, insert the support into the groove of the hinge, align the pins on the springs and connect the support cap to the support itself.
  9. After the design of the pool is assembled, you need to check it for strength. To do this, take the assembled structure by the upper part and shake it thoroughly.
  10. We insert the pool bowl inside the structure and glue it with adhesive tape to the walls of the frame. In this case, it is advisable not to immediately fix the bowl around the entire frame, but to include a set of water in it and carefully straighten the fabric while it is being collected. This will help distribute the bowl fabric evenly inside the pool frame.

After the pool is fully assembled, you need to check how level it is, as it depends on its correct location whether there will be a water leak or not. In order to check how the pool is worth, you need to fill it with water, about 3 cm and carefully see if there is any difference in the water levels around its entire perimeter.

Inflatable pools

The most comfortable and easy to install are inflatable pools, which are made from a special durable film. In order to carry out the installation of an inflatable pool, you need to place it on a flat surface, on which there will be no things that can tear it - grass, shells, pebbles. It is good to unfold the fabric and pump it up with the pump that is included in the pool package.

And dive into the cold water. To make this a reality, you can make a small pool with your own hands. Certain types of construction are easily assembled on their own in the yard in the country house or at home. This article will help the owner to please his family, you just need to make the most of the materials that are already available.

Types of pools

In order to have plenty to choose from, you need to know about the features of various solutions and their relevance to specific conditions.

Inflatable pools. Such products are installed in less than an hour. The pool is usually a container that is made of PVC film. So that there are no breakthroughs and the pool lasts long enough, it is reinforced with additional polyester fibers. Inflatable is only one part - the top edge. The whole scheme operates on the principle of a float. The water starts to get inside, the side pops up. As the level rises, the walls are leveled and a full-fledged bowl is formed. The kit usually comes with a pump, filter, ladder and assembly instructions. Of the positive qualities can be identified:

  • high assembly speed;
  • relatively small weight;
  • affordable price;
  • the possibility of deployment in any conditions (the only requirement will be sufficient rigidity of the base and its evenness).

An inflatable pool usually meets all the expected requirements. But you should be aware of certain disadvantages: a high probability of water pollution, the relative fragility of the material (a fallen heavy branch or a sharp object can damage so much that you have to make a complete replacement). The price of such products cannot be called low, for some samples it will be necessary to pay 30 thousand rubles or more.

Frame. Among the pools of this type, there are a large number of different solutions. Metal tubes can act as a support, which are assembled into a closed structure, and a PVC bag is placed inside. When it is filled with water, the walls abut against the posts and their expansion is limited. Shield cores are assembled from separate sheets of metal, which has an anti-corrosion coating, which prevents its damage. The interior space is organized in the same way as in the previous version.

It usually takes a whole day to install a framed pool. At the same time, it also needs a good foundation so as not to deform it by the weight of the flooded water. Seasonal containers will have to be dismantled in the fall and reinstalled closer to summer. There are those who can safely winter. Usually they have additional stiffeners mounted, and the main racks are large. This is necessary to resist the action that will occur when the water freezes. Such pleasure will cost more than inflatable counterparts.

From fiberglass. In most cases, this design is a finished cast container. It has the given parameters: depth and capacity. Nothing needs to be invented. You only need to dig an appropriate pit, install a container and bring the required communications. One of the advantages is the high strength of the product. In some respects, it even surpasses concrete. Thanks to the properties of the components, the bowl is not subject to linear expansion due to temperature fluctuations. This means that the service life can be very long with proper maintenance. Fiberglass is highly repairable. The walls are so smooth that debris simply cannot linger on them, which means that they are very easy and simple to clean. A large number of additional equipment is available, for example, you can buy a variety of slides or jumping boards. It will please not only children, but also adults. The low level of thermal conductivity prevents rapid cooling of the heated fluid.

With polypropylene bowl. By itself, this polymer material has sufficient strength. He does not need an additional layer of waterproofing, which will prevent the outflow of liquid. Most often, blanks in sheets are used for the manufacture of such options. They are blue or blue in color. Assembly can be done by yourself, but this will require certain tools. Most often, this is entrusted to professionals. The construction of the entire structure can take from several days to weeks. Such pools have a buried structure, so a large-scale excavation of the soil will be required, as well as the laying of a concrete base slab. The material is resistant to ultraviolet and chemically active substances. Thanks to this, it can be safely placed outdoors.

With concrete base. Simply put, this is a pit of arbitrary length, width and depth that the user has chosen. It is filled with a solution. The walls and bottom can be lined with special ceramic tiles or mosaics. Almost anyone can implement such a project in any suitable place. For such a pool, it is important to think over all the required communications so that it lasts as long as possible.

Dome. It can be any of the options listed. The peculiarity is that they all have a roof. It can be made from various materials. The main highlight is that the bowl is closed on all sides, which prevents wind blowing, and also contributes to the rapid heating of the water inside.

In addition to differences in the method of erection, there are also subspecies according to the filtration option. It can be:

  • Skimmer. In this case, water is taken from the pool through technological openings that are located on the side walls. Moving through the channels, it enters the filter device. There it is cleaned, disinfected and partially heated. Return to the tank is made through nozzles.
  • Overflow. This method is more effective, but also somewhat more expensive in construction. The mirror of water reaches the very top of the pool. Water flows through the drain hole or the upper side and enters a special chute, and from it into the tank. The latter contains a pump with a water sensor that pumps the liquid to the filter, where it is cleaned. The liquid flows back through the holes that are located at the bottom of the pool.

Location selection

In addition to choosing a pool and even before creating its drawing, it is important to think about where to place it on your land. To make it easier to decide on this, here are a few rules to consider:

Assembly of the frame version

This option can be very cheap to manufacture. In order to implement it, you will need a 100 × 100 mm beam, a 100 × 30 mm or 50 × 30 mm edged board. You will also need a material that has good waterproofing and is able to withstand high burst pressure.

  • The site is selected as described above.
  • A pit is dug 40 cm deep. Its dimensions should be 20 cm larger than the dimensions of the planned pool.
  • The bottom is well compacted.
  • A slight slope is created towards the middle, where a small hole is dug with dimensions of 50 × 50 cm and a depth of 20 cm. It will serve to collect water, which may overflow over the edges.
  • The entire space is covered with rubble of medium or fine fraction. The layer should be 20 cm.
  • Another 20 cm sand is laid. It is very important to compact it well so that the pillow is hard enough.
  • The plane is displayed using beacons. This will allow the pool bowl not to warp. Metal pipes or a wooden beam, which is laid using a building level, can act as guides.
  • Racks are made from a wooden bar, which was mentioned a little higher. Their number should be such as to install through each meter. The total length is equal to the height of the pool plus 50 cm, which must be immersed in the ground.
  • The part that will be in the ground is processed with bituminous mastic or wrapped in roofing material. In addition, it is necessary to cover the tree with an antiseptic composition so that rot does not appear from constant exposure to moisture.
  • At the installation site of each column, a hole is dug to a depth of 50 cm.
  • Corner posts are installed. They are aligned using the building level in the horizontal and vertical plane.
  • The space around them is covered with sand and soil, which are well compacted in order to securely fix the element.
  • The diagonals are checked to make the design symmetrical.
  • Lines are stretched between the posts. One should be at the bottom, the other at the top. They are necessary in order to facilitate the installation of the remaining reference points.
  • The remaining parts are mounted with the specified step.
  • With the help of an edged board, the supporting walls are stuffed. Elements are best placed close to each other to create a uniform plane.
  • After the frame is made, a material is laid inside that will serve as a receiver for water. It can be a dense plastic film. It is important that it be in one piece, because at the place of the seam, a leak will certainly appear, and water will seep into the ground. The edges must be wrapped over the top edge so that the material does not slip during operation.
  • If you wish, you can make a more durable version. To do this, you need a PVC base, which is used for sewing awnings on trailers, eyelets, a riveter, a building hair dryer and a rubber roller. The blanks are placed inside the frame and markings are made, which bends will need to be made in the corners, how much should be left for the inversion, where exactly the seam will be soldered. Separate sheets are connected to each other using hot air. They fit with a slight overlap. With the help of a hair dryer, it is heated until it is almost completely softened. A soldering is formed by rolling a roller. This should be done on a flat surface free of debris and dust. The upper edge is bent by 5 cm. Eyelets are installed using a riveter. The distance between them should be 15 cm. The awning can be fixed to the inside. To do this, he simply presses a self-tapping screw with a washer to a wooden base. Or the edge is bent over the upper level, then a rope is pulled through the eyelets and it clings to the prepared elements.
  • The finished pool is filled with water.

To make the structure easier to fit into the surrounding exterior, it can be partially or completely immersed in the pit. In this case, the bottom is organized in the same way as described. The drainage system could be improved. To do this, a sewer pipe is brought to the pit, which is located in the middle, the second end of which goes into a water collector or channel. Thus, water will be discharged much faster.

Concrete pool manufacturing

The main task for this option will be earthworks. Having decided on the place and marking the territory, a hole of the required depth is dug. The bottom is formed in accordance with the recommendations that were listed above.

Installation of a polypropylene pool

With certain skills, the installation of such a pool will not take too much time. We will need sheet polypropylene (wall thickness from 8 mm), material for docking, a technical hair dryer, a planer.

For the installation of such a design, a pit is being prepared, its dimensions should be 10 cm larger on each side of the product itself. The bottom must be filled with mortar and stood. The vessel is immersed in the middle. Gravel is poured into the space between the walls of the vessel and the pit and is well rammed.

The manufacturing technology of a polypropylene pool is shown below:

Filter system

The pool filter is an integral device that must be present. Without it, it will be impossible to use water for a long period of time. It will need to be replaced frequently. The device can be installed both near the pool itself, and in a specially prepared place. There are a large number of ready-made options. For a small pool, there is no need to take an overly powerful filter. You can assemble it yourself if you wish. To do this, you need a plastic barrel of 100 liters. The main condition will be the presence of a lid that can be closed hermetically. You will need a centrifugal or drainage pump, plastic pipes, fittings and a filter flask cartridge.

  • A hole is drilled below the neck of the container.
  • A threaded nipple is inserted into the hole. Sealing rubber bands are put on both sides and lock nuts are screwed on.
  • The same exit is done 5 cm above the bottom diagonally.
  • A pipe is connected to the upper adapter, which will draw water from the pool.
  • A filter cartridge is put on the bottom from the inside. A pump is connected from the outside. From the pump, an output is made to the pool.
  • Large sifted sand is poured halfway into the barrel.
  • The installation must be below the water level in the pool. The liquid will flow into the container by gravity. Passing through the sand, it is cleaned and fed back into the bowl with the help of a pump.

With the right approach to business, the pool will serve for more than one year. A concrete or polypropylene structure can easily be made in a bathhouse or basement of a house. But this should be planned at the construction stage in order to avoid unpleasant consequences from an uneven load.

The main difference between PROPYLENE-POOLS and its main competitors is the possibility of carrying out all the above works on a turnkey basis.

Let's consider each stage of the installation in more detail.

Installation of a polypropylene pool: installation steps

  1. Preparation of a pit for a polypropylene pool.
  2. Pouring a reinforced concrete slab under the base of a polypropylene pool.
  3. Installation of the polypropylene bowl of the pool in the pit and setting it to the horizon.
  4. Installation of the necessary pool equipment and connection to the sewerage system.
  5. Filling the pit with concrete mix.
  6. Decorative trim around the pool.

Proper installation of a polypropylene pool is the key to its long and, most importantly, safe operation. requires a professional approach.

  1. Preparation of a pit for a polypropylene pool

The length and width of the pit should exceed the dimensions of the bowl of the propylene pool by 0.75-1 m around the perimeter. The depth of the pit consists of the following main layers:

    – sand and gravel cushion – 150-200 mm
    - reinforced concrete slab under the base of the bowl - 200-250 mm
    - lining material (geotextile, insulation, film) - 25mm
    - the height of the vertical wall of the pool.

In this case, it should be taken into account that the upper edge of the pool can rise above the soil surface to a height of no more than 300 mm. Avoid, if possible, installing the pool in places with a high level of groundwater. In the event that there is groundwater at the pool installation site, our company can provide both advisory services for water control and carry out surface drainage measures.

  2. Pouring reinforced concrete slab under the base of the pool

Before making a concrete slab, the bottom of the pit should be leveled with a sand and gravel cushion. The recommended concrete slab thickness is 200-250 mm with one or two reinforcing meshes (reinforcement thickness 10-12 mm in 200-250 mm increments). The dimensions of the slab must exceed the overall dimensions of the bottom of the pool bowl by at least 250 mm along the perimeter. The surface of the slab must be brought into the horizon and have a smooth appearance (maximum deviation from the horizontal +3 mm).

  3. The production of a polypropylene pool is possible from polypropylene sheets on site, or the installation of a previously welded pool bowl is carried out by a team of several people in compliance with safety regulations. After installation, the bowl must be brought to the horizon.

  4. Installation of the propylene bowl of the pool in the pit and setting it to the horizon
  5. The necessary set of equipment for filtration, heating and water treatment is installed on the propylene pool. The equipment for the pool is interconnected by pipelines through fittings. All branch pipes are led to the technological room, where the filter unit is mounted.

The manufacture of a polypropylene pool is a particularly important task, since it is necessary to ensure complete waterproofing between the pool wall and the embedded part. This work should only be carried out by professional, trained teams.

  6. Filling the pit with concrete mix

Filling the pool with concrete mixture is carried out in stages. Each layer has a height of no more than 40 - 50 cm. The propylene pool is filled with water to a level of 40 - 50 cm. Next, the pit is filled with concrete mixture to the water level. After the concrete has cured, the operation is repeated until the entire pit is completely filled.

Given that this operation is not particularly responsible, it can be performed by the client himself. However, at the request of the customer, our company can provide this service.

  7. Decorative trim around the pool

The final stage of the installation of the pool. The area around the propylene pool can be finished at the request of the customer in any possible way. If necessary, these works can also be performed by our team.

Thus, the manufacture of polypropylene pools is not at all such a complicated process as it seems.
