Gazebo project with barbecue drawings with dimensions. Photos of cozy gazebos with barbecue facilities from different materials

Help for the hostess

A modern gazebo project can include the whole range of amenities that allow you to take out of the residential building not only the kitchen with its smells, but also the living room. With an appropriate approach, in such a room you can receive guests all year round and at the same time feel no less comfortable than at home.

In terms of dimensions, this building can be much more spacious than a traditional gazebo, but if you have a large plot of land at your disposal, then why not give yourself such pleasure. The video in this article, like our instructions, will touch on the topic: "Arbor from foam blocks with your own hands."

We will tell you not only how to build it correctly, but also offer some good ideas for outdoor and indoor design.

In principle, a gazebo can be built from any material used today for the construction of residential buildings. Oddly enough, but many readers are interested in the seemingly most inappropriate material for this purpose - blocks of cellular concrete.

The reason for this popularity is the large format, which allows you to build masonry faster than brick (see), and, of course, the affordable price of the material. The cheapest brick costs about 4000 rubles / 1 m3, and for example, foam blocks measuring 500 * 400 * 300 mm will cost no more than 2500 rubles / m3. As you can see, the difference is significant.

Plus, a cubic meter of cellular concrete masonry weighs almost three times less than the same volume of brick, even hollow. And this means that the load on the foundation will be much less. Of course, in terms of strength, walls made of cellular concrete are still inferior to brick walls, but this is not so important for a gazebo.

Pros and cons of foam concrete

The construction of walls from foam blocks requires compliance with certain rules, and this is due to the high absorbency of this material. Some readers ask if a bathhouse and a gazebo can be built from foam blocks? As for the bath, then, frankly, this is not the best idea.

So:

  • Having saved on the structural material for the walls, you will have to spend a lot on the internal waterproofing of the premises. Since both moisture and steam are present in the bath, both impregnating and pasting insulation will have to be performed. If you really want to, use better polystyrene concrete blocks.

But for the construction of a winter gazebo, foam concrete can be considered the best choice. In terms of thermal conductivity, this material is close to wood. In the cold season in such a gazebo it will be much warmer than, say, in a brick room.

Accordingly, the sound insulation in the gazebo of foam blocks will also be better. The reason for this is the cellular structure of foam blocks - and as you can see, this is not always a disadvantage.

Zero cycle: where to start

Before proceeding with the marking of the site and earthworks, you need to decide on the size and design of the building (see). At the stage of construction of the zero cycle, it may be necessary to provide for some nuances.

These are supports for columns, embedded parts for racks, a monolithic slab for a barbecue oven, etc. But how to do this if you don’t really understand where and what will be located?

So:

  • It is clear that not everyone is able to design such a beautiful gazebo, as in the picture at the beginning of the article, on their own. But it is quite possible to take a ready-made drawing as a basis. There are many of them: here you have a bathhouse with a wooden gazebo, and a capital terrace with a canopy, and a gazebo with a barbecue made of foam blocks. The main thing is to find an option that fits perfectly into your site according to the configuration.
  • Knowing the size of the building and its appearance, it is easier to determine the quantity and cost of materials. You may want to change something - for example: the glazing option, the shape of the roof, or in a different way to finish the finish. The more thoroughly the concept of construction is thought out, the easier it is to implement.

Do not forget also that at the stage of construction of the zero cycle, work is also carried out related to the communications brought to the structure: laying the power cable; water supply and drainage pipelines; septic tank, manhole.

Choosing a base option

Since we decided to use concrete blocks for the construction of our gazebo-living room, we will need to build a capital foundation under them (see). The most suitable option for block walls is a prefabricated or monolithic foundation tape. In the first case, FBS concrete blocks are laid in a trench with a prepared bottom.

  • The advantages of this choice are that the prefabricated tape can be erected in one day and you do not have to wait a whole month to continue the work until the concrete gains strength. In terms of cost, this is also quite acceptable, but, given the need to use lifting mechanisms, additional costs cannot be avoided. And there are also difficulties associated with the fact that not every site can drive a truck crane.

  • Therefore, preference is more often given to the second option - monolithic. In this case, a formwork is installed in the trench, the bottom of which is backfilled with sand and gravel. It is covered with polyethylene, a reinforcing cage is laid on the bottom and concrete is poured. Schematically, it will look something like the picture above.
  • The gazebo is still not a house, and its designs are quite light in weight - and therefore the monolithic tape can not be deepened much. In any case, if there are no problems with the groundwater level on the site and the quality of the soil allows.
  • A support height of 30-35 cm is quite enough, and it deepens by 20 cm. Given the same thickness of the sand cushion, the depth of the trench will be 40 cm. The width of the foundation may be the same width as the wall material, or it may be 5-7 cm wider, to get a protruding base.

  • These are all general guidelines, of course. It is necessary to make a decision on choosing the type of foundation not only depending on the geological features of the soil - the design of the gazebo is also of great importance. If you want to build, for example, a gazebo with a terrace, then the foundation can be combined: under the walls of the gazebo there is a concrete tape, and under the frame of the terrace - point supports (piles, pillars).
  • Under the gazebo, the walls of which are laid out of brick or concrete blocks, quite often they equip a slab foundation. This is the most expensive option, since concrete is poured over the entire area of the building. But, firstly: a concrete screed is also needed for the installation of a capital floor.
  • Secondly: the cost of the foundation will not be that big, since the thickness of the slab in this case does not exceed 30 cm. And thirdly, there are many situations when this type of construction is the most rational. For example, in peatlands and swampy areas, a monolithic slab foundation is the only possible option.

  • This type of support structure is also excellent for heaving, water-saturated clay and sandy soils. For example, a foundation tape in such difficult conditions can simply float up. If the soil is mobile, with a high water level and deep freezing, there should be piles under the monolithic tape or slab.

Of course, each type of foundation has its own construction technology. You can easily find the necessary instructions or videos, including on this site.

Try to arrange the supporting part of the gazebo in accordance with generally accepted standards in construction, and do not try to save where it should not be done. Only in this case, the further operation of the gazebo will not cause any problems.

Building walls from blocks

So that there is no dampness in the built gazebo, you need to pay close attention to the waterproofing of the base. If this is a tape support, under the first row of the block there must be a layer of roll material glued to the bituminous mastic.

  • Horizontal waterproofing prevents capillary absorption of moisture from the soil by wall blocks. It is good if the same layer is under the sole of the foundation.
  • To perform block masonry, a specially designed composition should be used, which, in fact, is adhesive. Usually, sellers also offer the consumer dry mixes for their installation, and it is always better to purchase them together with blocks from the same manufacturer.

  • So, laying the first row of blocks should be done on a well-insulated rigid base. Previously, a layer of adhesive solution is applied to it, but the masonry is not carried out immediately along the entire length of the wall. First, the corner elements are laid - moreover, the highest angle is determined by the level and starts from it.
  • The lighthouse block is placed on a bed from a solution 2 cm thick and must be leveled in level: both in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The field of how the corners are laid and leveled, a mooring cord is pulled between them and proceed directly to the laying of the walls.

  • Ordinary blocks are laid, starting from the already established angle, leveling their position due to the thickness of the mortar layer. If this is not given due attention, too large gaps are formed between the blocks and the solution from the seams can simply fall out. The quality of such masonry cannot be called high - even if these cracks are then well covered up.
  • Depending on the manufacturer, foam concrete blocks may have smooth ends that need to be sealed with an adhesive solution, or they can be joined together with a tongue-and-groove joint. Such an installation system makes it possible to do without vertical seams, and if a smooth end of the block is needed in the corner zone, then the protruding comb is simply cut off with a planer.

  • The same tool eliminates minor protrusions of the faces of the blocks. This is done after they are laid in a row, before applying the adhesive composition. Mix the solution in small portions, using a conventional electric drill with a mixing nozzle. The adjustment of the masonry elements to each other is carried out by lightly tapping with a rubber mallet.
  • If your gazebo has a large stained-glass window based on masonry, or just a window, the opening under it must be reinforced. To do this, two parallel cuts are made along a row of blocks, into which reinforcing bars are then placed. This is done with a tool called a wall chaser.

The resulting groove during the masonry process is filled with mortar and forms a strong connection of the blocks. The advantage of cellular concrete is its ease of processing.

The block can be sawn with an ordinary hacksaw, hammer a nail into it, screw in a self-tapping screw - you don’t even need a screwdriver or a puncher. Due to this, the labor intensity of the work is significantly reduced, which allows the owner of the site not only to independently build a gazebo on it, but also to put up a residential building.

Blockwork finishing

Unlike brickwork, walls built from foam concrete blocks are never left unfinished. The only exception is the inner surface of the walls - and then if the interior of the room is decorated in an antique or loft style.

So:

  • In principle, any finishes can be selected. The only difference is that not all types of soil compositions are suitable for porous surfaces. This is true if, for example, you want to plaster walls or tile them. When buying a primer, carefully read the manufacturer's instructions. Usually they write on the label: “For cellular concrete” - and this is exactly what you need.

  • As for the type of plaster, the choice is great: colored, pebble, marbled, with relief. The main thing is that the plaster should be thin-layer, polymer-based. If the gazebo is open and it has only one or two blank walls, it will look great facing with decorative stone. Usually, a brazier or a barbecue oven is placed in such a gazebo, as is done in the example above.
  • The gazebo, which is supposed to be used all year round, makes sense to insulate. In this case, it is better to line the walls outside with thermal panels or basement siding. You can also sheathe the walls with OSB slabs and do the half-timbered paneling - according to the same principle that the house is decorated in the photo below. Thus, the walls will not only be decorated, but also insulated.

Interior design is made based on the style of the building itself, glazing options and design. You may want to sheathe the walls with natural wood, finish with bamboo or clad with interior panels. It all depends on how much your imagination is enough and how much you are willing to spend on arranging a gazebo-living room.

Organize a place for barbecue near the house or in the country. Almost all homeowners think about it. The question is how to do it. If you like capital buildings, your choice is a brick or stone gazebo. They are built according to the same projects, the only difference is in the method of laying. According to the same rules, gazebos are also built from foam blocks or other building blocks. They cost less, but when building from such materials, finishing will be necessary inside and out. Most often, a brick gazebo is built: today it is available in a wide range with different textures and colors, has good technical characteristics, and does not require maintenance later.

When thinking about such a construction, you must understand that you will have to make a solid foundation. These are not wooden gazebos and not metal ones that can stand on bricks or even on the ground. If the gazebo is open - only the pillars on which the roof is installed, then there will be enough foundations for the pillars (columnar or, but tape can also be used). If railings are laid out of stone (at least part of the height), it will be required already, moreover, reinforced (depth 20-30 cm below the fertile layer, width about 20 cm, two threads of reinforcement 12-14 mm). If one or two more walls are added, then you will have to make a monolithic reinforced slab, at least 150 mm thick, but you need to consider it depends on the soil. Mostly on how prone he is to heaving. And only after the foundation is ready, the construction of the brick (stone) gazebo itself begins.

If the gazebo is with a brick barbecue or barbecue, a separate foundation is needed for it. It is made incoherent with the foundation of the building (should not have points of contact). A monolithic reinforced slab is made under a brick brazier and nothing else: even a small one requires about 800 bricks, and if it is angular, the bill goes into the thousands.

What are

The building material is chosen based on the appearance of the remaining buildings on the site. This also determines the choice of roofing material. And the shape and structure can be anything.

Most often, stone and brick arbors are made in a rectangular shape: they are usually placed on the border of the site, so that they are located along. Very well square or rectangular designs become in a corner. To make the atmosphere more intimate, both sides that will face the neighboring plots are made solid.

Stone gazebo - two sides are open, two are closed

Pure stone gazebos, and even closed ones, are rare. This is a summer kitchen, not a gazebo. If necessary, the insect barrier is made of mosquito nets; for a more comfortable environment, translucent curtains can be hung, which will be closed both from insects and from prying eyes. For winter recreation, glazing is sometimes installed. It turns out already a separate kitchen, if there is a barbecue or barbecue in the gazebo. Glazing is done in the usual way: wooden frames or double-glazed windows, polycarbonate is less often installed, but it is also quite suitable, and also has a lower thermal conductivity compared to single glazing.

Often combined with wood. Both brick and stone look good with them. They also make openwork metal railings, a combination with polycarbonate is less common.

A rare combination - with a polycarbonate roof Combination of brick and openwork metal fencing

How to build with your own hands

Let's describe a step-by-step algorithm for building a gazebo made of brick or stone:

    1. The site is being prepared. The fertile layer is removed, the pit is leveled.
    2. Foundation works are in progress. The type of foundation can be any, so it is not possible to describe in detail.
    3. Waterproofing is laid on the finished foundation. Previously used roofing material in two layers. It is still there, but it is better to take something from modern materials: modern roofing material will simply crumble in three or four years. You can use bituminous mastic (grease twice). This will cut off most of the moisture that the concrete will pull from the soil.

    4. Pillars are built of brick or stone. They can only be driven out a certain distance from the floor, or they can stretch all the way to the rafter system. In 95% of cases, wood is then attached to such columns: the continuation of the columns or the strapping for the rafter system. And if you can also lay waterproofing on top of the column, then you can’t do it on short pillars. It is not worth walling them up in a column: brick is a very hygroscopic material. During rains, it will draw moisture, if not from the soil, then from the air. The tree will get wet from it, which in winter will lead to the fact that the wood will simply tear. To avoid this, a corner is built into the pole, which should stick out of it. At the end of the beam or log, a cut of the appropriate shape is made, and the rack is mounted on the corner. Instead of a corner, there can be three studs, you can also come up with some kind of metal holder, only one that will not spoil the appearance.
    5. After the columns are driven out to the required height, the upper trim is made of timber.
    6. The rafter system is assembled. The rafter legs are attached to the beam of the upper harness.
    7. A crate is stuffed on the rafters. In order not to hem the ceiling, it is made solid, regardless of the type of roofing material. Open beams hemmed with edged boards or lining are even decorations.

    8. Roofing is mounted on the crate.
    9. If the gazebo is intended for a barbecue or barbecue and it is supposed to be brick, it is built at this stage.

    10. If provided for by the project, walls are placed and railings are erected.

    11. The floor is laid.
    12. Gutters are being installed.

This is what happened as a result of all the efforts: a gazebo turned out to be capital

The floor can be made immediately on the finished foundation. Depends on what material. If this is a tile or wild stone that is laid on a slab, you can put it right after the columns and walls are driven out. If it is a wooden flooring, then it is better to lay it last so as not to stain it. And one more thing: under the roof, he is already somehow protected from the rain.

One more clarification about wood: immediately after you brought it and walked it with a grinder (if necessary), it must be treated with an antiseptic. Only in this case it will not darken during construction work. The exception is preserved wood. It is processed in the factory with a similar composition in special chambers.

Whatever the shape of the brick gazebo, there are always brick columns or pillars. And you have to know how to post them. How to do it - see the video.

What else you may need is how to put a barbecue. Simple, without arches and other complex details, it is quite possible to fold even without extensive experience with bricks. An example is in the video.

Gazebo ideas in the photo gallery

While a brick gazebo is being developed, an idea is needed that will serve as the basis for the project. Below are some interesting options.

The ceramic brick gazebo is divided into two zones: the kitchen is separate, the dining room is separate ... This is a pergola, but again the pillars are of an interesting shape, you can take note of the project with a barbecue “attached” to the side. You don't see this arrangement very often.

Having conceived the construction of such a structure, you should immediately take care of the plan, which must be drawn up in full accordance with the size of the future structure and its geometry. This will help you accurately budget for all the necessary materials.

As an example, we offer step-by-step instructions for building a gazebo with a barbecue in various ways. This will help in organizing your own construction and set the right direction for the entire event.

DIY wooden gazebo with barbecue

And first we will consider an example when the gazebo is made of lumber, and the brazier is made of bricks. Immediately important advice: look for a 6-meter beam and a board. This way there will be much less waste.

The first point of building a gazebo made of wood with a barbecue with your own hands is the choice of a building site and its configuration. We take into account several important points:

  • Entrance to the house and the entrance to the gazebo should look at each other (it’s more convenient to set the table).
  • We reckon with the rules fire safety. There will be a brazier with an open fire in the gazebo, you should not build it very close to the house.

Having decided on the place, with the help of building sand we outline circuit foundations of the building. Our drawings of a gazebo with barbecue suggest that the gazebo will be octagonal, and the base under it will be in the shape of a circle. You can “draw” a circle using a pipe fixed in the ground and a rope tied to it.

In our case, the fertile soil layer was only about 20 cm thick. It was followed by excellent clay soil. The building is relatively small, so concrete columns were chosen as the base. It is better to choose the land under them and replace it with a sand and gravel mixture. This way you can adjust the height.

material for bottom strapping serves as a bar with a section of 100x100 mm. In order not to make a mistake with the cutting angles, use a cardboard template. For the device of transverse beams, it is better to use a board 50x100. To give the strapping reliability, it can be fastened with metal corners inside and out. Galvanized 105x105x90x2 mm at 135 and 90 degrees are perfect. Do not forget about the waterproofing layer of roofing material between the base posts and the strapping.

Do-it-yourself gazebos with barbecue step by step photos

Floor in the gazebo is made of edged boards 50x100. We immediately cut the right amount of material to size. On the front side, it is better to plan the board with a planer, and from the inside - treat it with an antiseptic (preferably in several layers). We fix the floor with a screw and be sure to check the bottom trim again with a level.

Top harness it is more convenient to build below. So it will be more convenient to adjust the locks and the lengths of the rafters. We use the same edged board 50x100 as the material for the rafters and the upper strapping.

In our case, a do-it-yourself wooden gazebo with barbecue has octagonal roof. Therefore, the lock of the rafters will also be octagonal. We carry it out from a bar 100x100. Pay attention to the placement of supports under the timber. To install them, the octahedron had to be enlarged with boards 1.5 cm thick.

Arbors with barbecue with their own hands. Photo

Let's move on to production rafters. We carry out a triangular cut at the lower attachment point. We will use it as the bottom lock.

Like the upper bundle, we also assemble the truss structure at the bottom. It will be easier to correct minor flaws.

Our drawings of a gazebo with a barbecue provide for the installation of ten support pillars. We make them from a bar 100x100. To make it more convenient to carry out their installation, we saw off the ends exactly at an angle of 90 degrees. We fasten the posts to the base of the gazebo with the help of corners 105x105x90x2 mm made of galvanized steel. Checking the design with a level. In our case, the installation of slopes was not needed.

A gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands. Photo instruction

Now we are installing the truss system and the upper harness. For fastening we need:

Roof made of an inch board with a width of 100 and 150 mm. We lay it close; start from the bottom and go in a circle to the top point of the structure. For ease of marking, we use a cardboard template. It makes it easier to mark the cut line. We fasten each board with two self-tapping screws on each side. So the roof does not deform over time.

Let's not forget about brick brazier with their own hands, which will be in the gazebo. We dig a hole under the foundation of the barbecue with a depth of 40 cm.

formwork can be made from boards from transport pallets.

We cover the formwork ruberoid. The most convenient way to do this is with a construction stapler.

We put reinforcement (rods 10 mm class A3) and reinforcing mesh (d = 4, 100x100 mm) into the pit under the foundation. We fill the foundation with a mixture of cement and building sand in a ratio of 1 to 3. Cement grade M 250 is ideal. In our case, it took 5 bags.

After that, you can sew up the gazebo around the perimeter log simulator 45x146 mm. This will not only make the building more attractive, but also add rigidity to the frame.

window sills We carry out from the board 50x100 mm. To fix them, we use corners 50x50x40x2 mm. This part of the design is optional, but it will make the gazebo more comfortable for guests.

Foundations benches we make from a bar 50x50. We fasten them at an angle to the walls using corners 50x50x40x2 mm. This is the most durable and ergonomic design option.

The material for the manufacture of the upper part of the benches is a grooved board 28x121 mm. To increase strength, all benches are connected from the ends with plates 80x40x2 mm.

To visually divide the gazebo into two functional zones, we decorate the barbecue side wooden lattice. A beam of 15x20 mm is well suited for its manufacture.

Wooden gazebo with a barbecue with their own hands. Photo

On this work on the gazebo comes to an end and you can proceed to the construction barbecue made of bricks with your own hands.

The simpler the design, the easier it is to install it without errors. Therefore, it is better to use simple brick barbecue drawings without frills. For the construction you will need:

For proper and accurate masonry, a number of conditions must be met. First, the solution should not be too thick. After installation, the brick should be easily adjusted by hand. Secondly, the ideal seam is 3 mm thick. This must be achieved in order for the structure to be as strong as possible. Be sure to observe the same thickness of the seam throughout the structure. Third, don't rush. Laying is carried out strictly according to the level. On this, the step-by-step instructions for building a barbecue grill made of bricks in a wooden gazebo can be completed. The whole sequence of masonry can be clearly seen in the photographs.

Brazier made of bricks in the gazebo. Photo

It remains only to cover the roof shingles(in the example, Shinglas red tiles were used) with the help of nails and a construction stapler, and treat the gazebo with an antiseptic and varnish. We apply antiseptic in two layers. A glossy yacht varnish is well suited as a varnish.

Brick gazebo with barbecue and barbecue

For those who are more of a bricklayer than a carpenter at heart, we offer step-by-step instructions for building a gazebo with a brick barbecue. Let's skip the stages of finding a place and marking for a structure. All this has been described above. Let's get straight to the point.

Construction of a brick gazebo with barbecue. Step by step instructions

The brick structure will weigh quite a lot, so this time foundation must be made solid and reinforced. After it is ready, we carry out the laying of the walls.

The rafter system can be made in the same way as for a wooden gazebo.

The first row is better to lay out on a dry one.

We are building firewood. It will also be the basis for the barbecue and smokehouse.

We continue to lay out a brick barbecue with our own hands. Next in line is the firebox and countertop. Optionally, you can arrange a niche for dishes.

A gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands. Step by step photos

For the cauldron, we need to install stove. The version with removable rings is shown below.

The base of the barbecue is ready. It's time to lay out the countertop fireclay bricks.

In masonry, we must use refractory mix.

The next stage in the construction of a gazebo with a brick barbecue with your own hands is the organization chimney and forming a channel for the smokehouse.

In our gazebo there will be Russian oven. We form for her under.

Each row must be reinforced wire.

We lay the walls at the same time. We check the accuracy of the work with the help of a level.

Finishing the oven vault.

In our case, the rear wall of the oven had to be pulled out.

The work will take quite a lot of time, but progress will warm the soul.

We continue to build a brick barbecue with our own hands. We install the doors smokehouses. We finish the arches above the barbecue, hob and stove.

The stitching can always be entrusted to an assistant.

Above the stove can be installed stainless steel mesh. In the future, it will be good to dry berries and mushrooms or dishes on it.

How to sew up the roof, we have already told above.

Gazebo with barbecue and barbecue with their own hands. Photo

This concludes the step-by-step instructions for building a brick barbecue. The pavilion-barbecue complex is ready for delivery.

We bring water to the sink at the back of the gazebo. It can be closed for the winter.

pipe make it three-channel. So the traction will be more stable.

Do not forget to cover the entire masonry with a special impregnation with water-repellent effect.

It will take about a week to dry the structure. On this, the construction of a gazebo with a barbecue made of bricks with their own hands is completed.

Homemade brick brazier. Step by step instructions

Mangal with his own hands. Blueprints

We begin the construction of a brick structure with a strong device foundation. We select the size in accordance with the size of the future barbecue.

We dig a pit at the chosen place. We arrange formwork along its edges (it can be made, for example, from boards from pallets). We pour concrete and reinforce the base. It will take 1-2 weeks for complete curing.

Base ready and you can start building the barbecue.

Drawing up drawings and plans is a useful thing. They will help you make an accurate estimate. Here is a sample list of required materials:

  • Refractory brick;
  • Wire for masonry reinforcement;
  • Sand and cement;
  • Corners made of galvanized metal;
  • Mesh or reinforcing bars;
  • Lime.

Do-it-yourself brick brazier. Photo

For preliminary calculations, lay out the bricks as they should lie in the structure. Now it is clear where the masonry seams will be and how many halves and quarters of the brick will be needed.

The material absorbs moisture very well. Therefore, it is better to put under a brick waterproofing material. A couple of layers of roofing material is fine.

It's time to start building the brazier.

Cooking solution. To do this, mix cement, sand and slaked lime in a ratio of 1: 3: 0.25. We will lay out the prepared brick ahead of time on the resulting mixture.

Laying will require accuracy, attention and patience. We follow the seams, we level the bricks according to the level.

The technology of work requires laying rows in checkerboard pattern. We focus on the first row, start laying from the corner, gradually filling the side space.

The brazier will be exposed to high temperatures. Therefore, it is better to lay the second row with the help of a clay-chamotte mixture.

To make the base for the brazier, you need to install the rods fittings between opposite walls. The base of the firebox is installed on them. For example, it can be a metal pallet.

The combustion process requires a constant supply of oxygen. To do this, it is necessary to leave several gaps without mortar in the laying of the firebox.

It remains to install the grate on the rods or ledges (depending on the masonry of the brazier) and select the countertop.

Brick barbecue in the country

Brick barbecue - ideal for a summer cottage. This is a simple, comfortable and reliable design that looks quite presentable.

We offer a detailed guide that will help even a person inexperienced in construction to build such a building as soon as possible.

The first stage of work is the preparation detailed plan. We will give only an approximate scheme of the structure. You must take into account the features of your own stove, its appearance, decor elements, and so on.

Ordering a brazier made of bricks. Photo

Do not forget about the niche for firewood and coal. We calculate a place for the grill at a height of 65-70 cm from the ground. The stove should be placed 10 cm lower.

Bricklaying for barbecue. Photo

After working with a pencil and a ruler, you can proceed to the practical part. As in the previous instructions, we start with foundation.

Under the barbecue, the same foundation is suitable as under the barbecue. This is a monolithic reinforced base. We dig a pit for him about half a meter deep. We cover the bottom with a layer of a mixture of gravel and crushed stone, water and ram.

We carry out the installation of reinforcement, form the frame. All that's left to do is formwork. Now you can move on to pouring the base with concrete.

The foundation will take up to two weeks to dry completely. A little patience and you can move on to building a brick barbecue.

Chamotte brick - ideal for masonry ovens. It won't hit your pocket too hard, but it's strong enough and can withstand high temperatures. We prepare cement, building sand, and red clay in advance. They are necessary to create a solution. Fill the clay with water ahead of time and hold it for several days.

Having prepared the solution, you can proceed to the masonry. We work slowly, according to the plan, lay out row after row. We constantly control the masonry with the help of a level.

Lay out first pedestal barbecue ovens. It should not be too high (up to 70 cm).

Lay out the second row, shifting the beginning of the tier by half a brick.

Having reached the furnace, keep in mind that its depth must be at least three bricks, and its length must be at least six. We use fireclay bricks. We install reinforcement bars on the ceilings.

The next step is building chimney. If the scheme is drawn up correctly, then there will be no problems. When laying the rows, do not forget to make a "chimney tooth" on the back wall of the stove. It will significantly improve the draft in the pipe.

It remains only to add decorative elements and clean the masonry from mortar splashes and other construction debris. You can decorate a barbecue with paint applied to a brick. This will visually highlight the seams of the structure. In general, the design has already been completed and can be used for its intended purpose.

Do-it-yourself barbecue from a barrel

If there is not much space on the site to arrange a gazebo with a barbecue, you can always make a barbecue from a barrel with your own hands. For this we need:

  • Metal barrel (preferably food);
  • Paintwork materials (primer, paint);
  • Brackets and loops for fastenings;
  • Chimney pipe.

We will install the barbecue on a special structure. To make it, we need pipes of small diameter (up to 50 mm) and boards. In the process, you will need the following tools:

  • Drill with a set of drills;
  • Angle grinder;
  • Measuring tape measure;
  • Set of wrenches;
  • Fastening elements (clamps, bolts).

The preparation process is completed and you can start production. We cut in the side of our barrels rectangular hole, as shown in the photo.

Now we need 6 pipes small diameter. If they are concreted, then cut with a grinder. From 4 pipes we will make the legs of the structure on which the arbecue will stand.

Barbecue from a barrel. Photo

The remaining two pipes are used to connect each pair of legs. To fix the structure, we use bolts.

They will fix the position of our barrel. The length of the pipes is adjustable depending on the size of the barrel. The result should be a two-piece structure, each of which will consist of a pair of legs and a connecting pipe.

To connect the two parts, you need to take 5 boards 150-200 mm wide. We use four of them to fix the legs (two boards on each side). We fix one board at a height of 5-10 cm from the ground. The second should be slightly above the middle of the legs.

Using a drill, we drill holes in the boards with a diameter equal to the diameter of the leg pipes. We install the structure upside down and install the boards on the legs. In our case, bolt clamps were used to fix the boards at the desired level. We turn the structure over and the boards fall into place, preventing the legs of the structure from moving apart.

We use the last board to connect the upper tier of boards. This is the final touch in the creation grounds for barbecue. Now a barbecue from a barrel with your own hands can be installed in its place.

The next stage of work is the arrangement of the barrel. For cooking we need lattice. To fix it inside the structure, we install a pair of brackets on each side with bolts.

We recall that piece of the barrel that we cut out at the very beginning. We will make a barbecue cover from it. We install the hinges and fasten it back to the barrel. The grille brackets will prevent the lid from falling in when closed.

Anything can be used as a handle for the lid of the structure, for example, a shovel handle.

After installing the lid, thoroughly wash the barrel.

At the end of the barrel we drill holes for ventilation and make a shutter for them.

After that you can fix chimney and paint the barbecue.

This concludes the step-by-step instructions for building a metal barbecue.

Projects of gazebos with barbecue

There can be many variations of wooden gazebos with barbecue facilities. This variant has an octagonal base and open walls on one side. There is enough light in the gazebo, and benches and a table can be installed as needed.

It is not at all necessary to make the entire gazebo completely out of brick. A feature of this gazebo are forged elements from which the walls are made. The design looks light and is naturally lit from all sides.

Even if there is not much space on the site, you can always build a canopy and decorate the walls with ordinary boards. This version of the gazebo with a brick barbecue will fit in a very small area.

If time and resources allow, then on your site you can build a real work of building art. A wooden gazebo with a brick barbecue, stove and countertop, decorated with tiles, looks rich. Although its device will require not so much time.

A large family needs a lot of space. It is better to do without the construction of bulky walls, and build a canopy and a brick brazier with a countertop under it on a reinforced durable foundation.

A gazebo is an indispensable attribute of a personal plot. The Internet is replete with offers to buy ready-made drawings of gazebos for self-construction, or entrust the construction of a small architectural form to professionals. But often, for some reason, existing proposals do not meet the needs of land owners, either the size does not fit, the shape and design do not suit, or it is simply expensive. And in itself, the construction of a gazebo is not a complicated process and is quite feasible with your own hands.

This article is devoted to how to draw up a plan, drawing and diagrams of gazebo nodes, how to determine the size depending on the purpose of the building, how to properly place a barbecue, a place to relax, a kitchen, etc. And of course, we have selected for you ready-made schemes and drawings of gazebos.

Layout

The first thing to decide is where the building will stand. To do this, you will need a site plan on a scale convenient for you, which indicates: the main building (house), outbuildings (bathhouse, sheds), garden paths, trees.

Advice: It is better not to cut down perennials, they will still serve for shade and landscape design.

Carefully study the plan of the infield, taking into account the totality of circumstances, and mark on the diagram where, in your opinion, the gazebo will be most appropriate. It is better to place it in the depths of the garden, at the end of the path, between the trees. The distance from the main house is 3-5 m. If the building is planned with a barbecue, fireplace or stove, then it is desirable to move it away from the main residential building by more than 8 m.

Gazebo plan for a summer residence, an independent drawing with dimensions

When drawing up a drawing, do not forget about the foundation. For country arbors, it is optimal to arrange a columnar base. The distance between the posts is 1500-2000 mm, for each vertical support. Post section 300*300, 400*400 mm. When marking the foundation scheme on the ground, add 100 mm on each side so that the base is larger than the dimensions of the building.

Functionality and dimensions - what you need to know

Pavilions, first of all, are built for comfortable outdoor recreation, which means that they must be comfortable, durable, reliable, everything must be at hand, nothing should interfere, annoy. And for this you should know some rules of ergonomics.

Typical drawing of a rectangular structure

As a rule, rectangular buildings have a two- (as in the diagram above) or a hipped roof.

Wooden gazebos, drawings of a square building with a hipped roof

Standard table width 600-800 mm, length 800 mm - for 4 people, 1200 mm - for 6 people. The convenient size of the seat of a chair or bench is 400-450 mm. Thus, the minimum width of the gazebo is 1500 (600+450+450) mm, length 1500-2000 mm.

Do-it-yourself country arbors, drawings of a mini log construction

Note: If necessary, the dimensions of the gazebo can be reduced, in which case it is better to opt for a small, frame canopy building, see an example in the diagram below.

Arbor scheme for a small area

The product is on a metal frame, the dimensions are schematic, the length and width of the gazebo can be changed to suit your needs

For comfortable accommodation of one person, a floor area is required - 2 m 2, therefore, the optimal size of the gazebo for a company of 4-8 people is 3 * 4 m, 4 * 4 m (12-16 m 2).

Do-it-yourself hexagonal gazebos, drawings of a standard wooden structure

If not only a place for gatherings is planned, but also a recreation area, with chairs and sun loungers, then the area of the gazebo is calculated at the rate of 4 m 2 per 1 person.

In order to correctly draw a drawing of a gazebo with a barbecue or a fireplace, when calculating the area, it is necessary to take into account the dimensions of the furnace. The optimal depth of a brick barbecue is 750-1000 mm (3-4 brick lengths), width - 1200 mm (10 brick widths).

Drawing of a standard brazier

In addition to the brazier or barbecue, on the side of it, for convenience, a desktop 600-800 mm wide should be provided, to it, preferably, a sink - a width of 600-800 mm, and on the other side a place to store firewood, for symmetry the same distance. Based on this, the minimum length of the kitchen, including the oven, is 2400-3400 mm.

Scheme of a brazier with a working area

In front of the barbecue, it is necessary to provide a free space of 1000-1200 mm in order to move freely during cooking, and the heat does not interfere with those sitting at the table. Thus, when drawing up a drawing of a gazebo, in addition to a place for gatherings of 8-12 m 2, an additional area should be allocated for the barbecue: at least - 2400 * 1750 mm, with comfort - 3400 * 2200 mm.

To save space, the stove can be installed in the corner of the gazebo, or make a separate canopy on the site near the building.

Shape and design features

In addition to the fact that gazebos are open and closed, they also differ in shape: rectangular, multifaceted, round, combined, etc.

Assembly diagram of a closed square garden summer house under a hipped roof

Scheme of a large gazebo made of wood under a hip roof, on a foundation 4 * 6 m

The easiest way is to make a drawing of a rectangular gazebo, but pitfalls lie in wait here: when transferring the scheme to the site, make sure that the angles are strictly 90 o, the diagonals are the same, or use the rule of the Egyptian triangle.

Marking the area for the gazebo

Measure 3.0 m on one side, 4.0 m on the other, connect the points in a straight line, check the geometry, if the connecting line is 5.0 m, then the angle is 90 °

Simple rules for building circuits

Drawings of multi-organ structures during independent design cause some difficulties. But let us remind you of just a few rules from the school course. So, for example, a hexagon with equal sides always consists of 6 equilateral (all sides are equal, and angles = 60 o) triangles. Or from two equal trapezoids.

A diagram of how to simply draw the base of a hexagonal gazebo

If you want to change the shape of the gazebo, for example, to enlarge some sides, then first a rectangle is drawn (in the diagram below with a green line), then its diagonals are drawn, the middle is found. From the point of intersection of the diagonals, perpendicular to the long sides of the rectangle, I set aside the same segments (yellow line in the diagram), then the points are connected. Or you can still draw 2 equal trapezoids with a common base, the height of the trapezoid should be equal to half the side of the gazebo.

Do-it-yourself hexagonal gazebo drawings, if you want to change the length of the sides

To draw an octagonal gazebo, its base must also be decomposed into simple shapes, as shown in the diagram below.

2 perpendicular intersecting lines are drawn, equal to the length and width of the structure, a rectangle is built, one side of which is equal to the side of the building, the other is the width

The drawing of the gazebo is 8-sided, in the diagram it is marked in yellow how to connect the sides of the polygon

To increase the number of sides in a polygon, just draw another rectangle and connect the vertices along the path, as shown in the diagram.

Garden structures in the form of a polygon are a bit more difficult to build than relatively simple rectangular buildings, but they look more original and spectacular. To make the gazebo not only functional, but also become a decoration of the garden plot, decorate it with a beautiful wooden lattice or elegant forging, plants, choose a lighting scenario.
