The construction of a small private house and a large industrial facility is not without the supply of electricity. The most advanced solution can be considered an armored cable for laying in the ground, which solves many problems of classical air or combined wiring on simple VG type cables in a metal pipe.

What are the advantages of underground wiring?

Our homes and apartments require the organization of the power supply system of the required capacity. Their nutrition is organized due to the external line in one of three ways that differ in the complexity of installation, maintenance / repair, as well as the price:

An option with an underground gasket is more modern, has obvious advantages over a classic airport:

  • First, the laying cable in the ground can be selected with a loan to the desired section or even with a margin, because it does not have to take into account its sagging;
  • Secondly, the ability to use the minimum number of input devices;
  • Thirdly, the price of an underground line arrangement may be below the air;
  • Fourth, when compliance with the technologies of laying cable to the ground, you can forget about it for many years, without resorting to repair;
  • Fifth, this option is simply aesthetically aesthetically, since the line does not hang in the middle of the yard, does not block the space.

  • The possibility of mechanical damage to the line when conducting earthworks;

It has a section in shape resembling a trapezium expanding to the top. The depth must be at least 80 cm on the household plot (lawn) and 125 cm on areas with a road surface. The foundation width of the trapezium depends on the number of cables that need to be laid, branch / connecting couplings, maintenance / repair solutions. It fluctuates from 35 cm to 1 m.

The finished ditch is cleaned of third-party objects, garbage, and then placed on the bottom of the sand pillow with a thickness of up to 10 cm. After that, measures are being taken to arrange a branch coupling, reinforcing pipes. On this preparation is considered complete and you can start directly laying the cable to the ground.

In the process of laying it is necessary to avoid tight, forming a wavy line. If in separate areas is predicted from pipes, they should already be in their place. In the trench, the cable has a whole length. If this does not work, then it is necessary to use special connecting / branch couplings.

With parallel laying of several wires, the minimum distance between them is complied with 10 cm. The laid cables fall asleep from above the 10-centimeter sand layer, and even above the ground pillow. Places where you need to lay the cable to the ground are denoted by a special signal tape.

It is necessary to organize the grounding of the armor, check its resistance, in order to avoid short circuits.

Depending on the type of object, the required power, internal power grid, the connection of cables of different sections and directions may be required. Obviously, the contact site will be the most vulnerable from the point of view of integrity, and therefore, more than others are subject to repair. To protect this site, special couplings are used.

The clutch can have a stationary body (at the top on the illustration) with bolted fasteners, filling compound or manufactured from thermoplastic materials, followed by crimping connectivity. The specific option depends on the type of cable (VG, VBBSHB, PVBVNG, etc.), its cross-section, power.

As we can see, laying an armored cable to the ground can solve many practical and aesthetic issues on the commissioning of electricity to the house. This method is more reliable, has a relatively smaller price, does not require the use of protective pipes (this is a necessary condition when using a simple power cable of the WG type).
