Dolphinium: Care and cultivation. Landing Dolphinium in autumn

Floriculture

Sometimes at the flower beds in the courtyards of experienced gardeners, you can see a majestic and unusually spectacular plant - dolphinium. Care and growing plants - the procedure is quite complex and troublesome. It often happens that the seeds purchased in the store grow not too beautiful flowers with loose inflorescence. In order to get lush bright plants, you need to comply with certain technologies.

Plant Description

The dolphinium is a powerful perennial height of 80 cm to 2 m. Flowers have collected in grinding or bite inflorescences, elongated to 50 cm. Buds can be terry or simple. Petals most often painted in white, blue, blue or purple color. Inside each flower, two petals are growing with a contrasting base bouquet of coloring. They are called stamody and need a plant to attract insects. In terry varieties there are no such petals.

Landing seeds

So what kind of plant is needed as a dolphinium, care? And cultivation, and breeding these colors suggest compliance with some technologies. Of course, plants first of all need to put it right. You can purchase Dolphinium seeds in the store. Before landing, they must be kept in the refrigerator. More than a year, seeds cannot be stored.

At the first stage, small containers (for example, plastic cups) are a good place to grow young seedlings of such a plant as a dolphinium. The landing is made in a steady and well-moistened soil. The land should not reach the top of the cups by 1 cm. Seeds are unfolded at a distance of about 2 cm from each other and slightly pressed into the soil. Then they are sprinkled with dry ground. No need to water. Each capacity should be wrapped with a black film and put in a refrigerator for about two weeks.

Growing seedlings

After the first shoots appear, the cups are transferred to the windowsill, removing polyethylene. Everyone needs to be covered with a transparent lid. Thus, seedlings are grown until they reach it. Once a day, the lid needs to be removed for ventilating. Seeders watered very carefully. It is best to do it with a thin flowing of a syringe, filling the last weak solution of mangartee. Twice a week, the seedlings need to be fed with the addition of "epin" (2 amps of 10 liters of water).

Dive

As soon as the seedlings appear the first leaves (2-3), they will need to transplant more in the tank. You can take ordinary seedlings. Drops are plugged to the point where the first real leaves grow from. In the open ground, gracee dolphiniums are transferred immediately after the end of frosts.

Choosing a place for dolphiniums

Only on a well-lit plot you can get a beautiful spectacular dolphinium. Caring for these plants will subsequently concluded only in periodic feeding and searches. The flowerbed must be broken in a place protected from the wind. The fact is that dolphiniums - plants are high enough, and therefore, with heavy loads just break. For the same reason, shoots more than half meters long to be tied up. It is impossible to disembark dolphiniums in those places where groundwater is fitted to the surface.

Preparation of soil

So how to plant a dolphinium? Care and cultivation will be successful only if the flower beds are prepared correctly. The soil of dolphiniums love the weakness or neutral, well-fertilous. Under the flower leaf, they dig a pit and fill it with a soil consisting of a thoroughly mixed garden land, sand and overworked compost. In order for the plants to develop better, you can add the fertilizer of Kemira to the soil. Snapped seedlings need to be pouring. Abundant to moisturize the soil under the plants will be possible periodically - before rooting. Set up bushes at a distance of at least 70 cm from each other.

Dolphinium: Care and cultivation. How to fertilize?

For the first time, dolphiniums feather in spring. In order to gain lush inflorescences, the seedlings need to make nitrogen-potash-phosphoric fertilizer (with a predominance of potassium and phosphorus). In the spring, the peat (2 cm layer) is added under the bush. As soon as the plants type the color, they need to be easily fertilized. This time, 30 g potassium and 50 g of superphosphate per 1 m 2 of the soil are introduced into the ground. In August under plants, ammonium sulfate (30 g), (20 g), ammonia nitrate (10 g) and superphosphate (60 g) are possible.

How to water?

Watering adult plants require only very arid periods. Dolphiniums are developed simply wonderful and go deep into the ground. Therefore, under normal conditions, the plant is able to produce sufficient moisture for growth independently. However, the soil is just planted or recently transplanted dolphiniums need to water.

Dolphinium: landing in autumn

If you wish, you can plant dolphiniums and autumn. Do it in late August or early September. A bed in this case is prepared in the same way as in the spring. Gardening ground is mixed with humus, "kemira" and compost. You can also add some ash.

Plant division and transplantation

On the same place of dolphiniums can be successfully grown about 10 years. But it often happens that already on the fourth-sixth year of the middle of the bush begins to rotate. Of course, this significantly reduces the decorative value of such a plant as a delphinium. Transplanting it Meanwhile - the procedure is not particularly difficult. A bush need to just dig and divide the roots. No more than 3-4 adult shoots surrounded by green piglets should remain on each piece.

Reproduction of shoots

The dolphinium plant, the landing of which is most often carried out by seeds or the fission of the roots, if desired, can be grown from cuttings. For this, shoots are at least 10 cm long. Before landing, they are kept in a heteroacexin solution about 2 hours. After that, stick to the moistened sandy-peat mixture and are covered with a can or polyethylene. Within one and a half months, the soil in Cherchikov needs to be constantly moistened. This period is necessary for them to root.

Preparation for winter

Adult Dolphiniums Winter is carried very well. The young, as well as just transplanted, should be covered by a sweetheave or film for winter. The latter, in order for her the wind not taken, you need to go to the edges of the earth. Adult plants are cut off in front of the cold. At the same time, at least 30 cm of each escape should remain over the surface of the soil. Thus, it is possible to safely protect the dolphinium. Landing in the fall of these colors is made quite often. Such young rapties can generally simply touch the earth.

Diseases and pests

From pests, this beautiful plant is most often damaging a dolphinium fly, slippers, hoarse and nematodes. There are certain methods of combating these insects. Dolphinium flies are considered the most dangerous pest. This insect postpones his eggs at the base of the plant stem. Therefore, during the transfers of dolphiniums, it should be examined as carefully to inspect their roots. In the hole, it is necessary to add "Bazedin". If these insects are noticed in the flower bed, it should be treated with a weak carbofos solution.

Like bouquets

These wonderful plants in our country began not so long ago. At a permanent exhibition of flowers in Kazan, they, being presented for the first time, made a real extension. Today in the courtyards and in the gardens it is mainly possible to see the Dolphinium New Zealand or cultural (complex hybrid). In the bouquets, his flowers look just great. Cut inflorescences to extend the safety to be turned over and pour into the hollow trunk water. In order for it to be broken, the green "tube" is clocked with a cotton swab. The best dolphiniums look at narrow high vases. These flowers will preserve their fresher for a long time - about 10 days.

Dolphiniums as part of landscape design

Well, now you know, and when to transplant the dolphinium. What kind of role can play this plant in the dolphinium plot is always planted by groups. So the plant looks much more effectively. At the same time, it is in one flowerba to grow varieties with the inflorescences of different colors. Very often, dolphiniums are used as background plants in mix bears. At the same time, it is not bad to combine them with floccals, roses, lilies, dahlias. Sometimes the dolphiniums plant at the front porch at home or along its facade.
