Here are the ingredients for one serving, but it is clear that you can increase the number of them and treat the whole family. Recipe:

1. First of all, we wash well all the selected dried fruits (for this simple recipe for dried fruit jelly, it does not matter what they will be, but the main thing is not to overdo it with prunes, it will be bitter).
2. Fill our washed fruits with water and set aside.
3. After about 10 minutes, everything in the same saucepan, without pouring water, put on a small fire, add spices to taste, and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes - you will understand by color that your future jelly with dried fruits at home is already suitable.
4. How to cook - we catch all the fruits with a slotted spoon, and chop them in a blender, or grind them through a sieve. Now we throw back to our broth, mix, and add sugar along with starch diluted in cold water.
5. We put it on the fire again, not for a long time, just so that the ingredients make friends, and no lumps form in your dried fruit jelly at home. Reduce the heat and, without stopping stirring, bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and serve garnished with cinnamon or lemon. Enjoy! :)

You can use any dried fruit. Dried pears, apples and raisins go well together. The result is a delicious and quite satisfying drink that is quite easy to brew at home.

    First you need to prepare dried fruits. Take any of your choice. Rinse them under running water and pat dry.

    Then pour them into a cooking container, add water there and send to the fire. Bring the liquid to a boil and then cook the dried fruits for another five minutes.

    The ingredients should become soft. They need to be thrown into a sieve or colander, but do not drain the water from the broth, it will come in handy for us. Put fruit in a blender or mixer bowl.

    Grind dry fruits until smooth.

    Fruit gruel should be transferred to a saucepan with broth and stir well.

    After that, add some sugar and send the container to the fire. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Then boil for one minute.

    In a separate glass, you need to dilute the starch with a small amount of water (1 glass).

    Set the heat to minimum and pour the diluted starch into the fruit mass in a thin stream, stirring constantly to avoid the formation of lumps. Heat the liquid until light bubbles appear and turn off the heat, otherwise the mass will become liquid. Sprinkle the liquid with sugar on top to prevent the formation of a film.

Among them are vitamins B1, B2, B5 and PP, potassium, cholesterol regulators lecithin and methionine, insulin regulator choline and one of the essential amino acids - lysine.

It should be borne in mind that sugar and starch are carbohydrates, so the use of jelly should be limited to people prone to diabetes and overweight. In addition, the ingredients included in the jelly can occasionally cause allergies.

The dried fruit jelly recipe includes the following minimum ingredients:

  • 1.2 liters of water;
  • 100 g of sugar;
  • 200 g dried fruits;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of starch (the density of the resulting jelly directly depends on the amount of starch used, so this value can be varied).

First you need to thoroughly rinse the dried fruits. Then you should boil 1 liter of water and pour them into boiling water. Dried fruits should be boiled for 5 to 10 minutes over medium heat, after which they must be removed from the pan using a sieve or slotted spoon. In the pan where the dried fruits were cooked, you need to add sugar without removing it from the heat.

Then you need to grind the starch first so that there are no lumps in it, mix it with 200 ml of water, mix thoroughly and carefully pour it into the pan with the resulting “compote” in a thin stream. The resulting mixture should be boiled until the first bubbles appear on the surface of the "compote". After that, the pan must be removed from the heat, pour its contents into a separate bowl and let cool. The product will be ready to use when it reaches a jelly-like consistency.

With citrus zest

As you know, zest is the top layer of citrus peel, which contains many useful substances, including essential oils. Adding citrus zest to the jelly gives it a pleasant sourness and will diversify the usual taste of the dessert. At the same time, the zest of one lemon or orange will be enough for 1 serving.

It is best to prepare the zest with a fine grater, which processes the surface of an unpeeled and thoroughly washed fruit. It is important to ensure that only the topmost layer of the peel is removed - the lower (white) layer does not contain nutrients and will add unwanted bitterness. Before adding the zest must be thoroughly rubbed.

When preparing jelly, the zest is added to it at the stage of boiling dried fruits and removed from the pan along with them. All other ingredients and procedures are the same as discussed above.

If you want to further enhance the pleasant citrus flavor of the resulting dish, you can squeeze the juice of one lemon or orange and add it to the compote after removing the pan from the heat.

You can add sweetness to the product and enhance its aesthetic qualities with the help of powdered sugar, sprinkling it on the surface of the frozen dish.

With honey

Such a natural product as bee honey contains many useful substances, among them are microelements and B vitamins. Since ancient times, honey has been used in Rus' to add sweetness to dishes. It is not surprising that the first jelly recipes contained exactly honey instead of sugar. To prepare this traditional dish you will need:

  • 1 glass of dried fruits;
  • 4 glasses of water;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of starch (as we remember, the density of the resulting dish depends on its quantity);
  • 3 tablespoons of honey.

In the same way as when preparing ordinary jelly, you will need to rinse the dried fruits, pour them with water, put them on to boil, add honey, bring to a boil, remove the solid ingredients from the pan, dilute the starch with water and slowly pour it into the pan, and then cook the resulting mixture until it thickens and cool it.

Starch can be diluted not only with clean water, but also cast off 200 g of the “compote” obtained during cooking.

If you want to cook a dietary version of any jelly for yourself or your child, try reducing the sugar content a little. But remember that you won’t be able to completely refuse it, since the product prepared without sugar will be sour or tasteless.

If you want to add spice to your jelly, you can add a cinnamon stick and a few clove buds to dried fruits. Remember that even the most useful and dietary product is always good in moderation.
