Why is the play market writing the file not found. Troubleshooting Google Play Market

Garden landscaping

This problem occurs quite often and if it has bypassed you, then you are very lucky. I have repeatedly encountered various errors and a completely non-working Google Play Market on Android, so I share my personal experience on how you can return the most popular service from Dobra Corporation to working order.

So, Google Play Store malfunctions can be varied: technical problems on the service side, constant errors, application crashes and complete inoperability. In this tutorial, I'll give you some helpful tips on how to fix this.

1. Restart Android

The first step is to reboot your device. This usually solves most of the problems with Google Play. If it doesn't help, let's move on.

2. Reset Google Play Market settings

For this:

1. Go to settings.

2. Open "Applications" or "Application manager".

3. Find Google Play Store in the list and tap on it.

4. In the application settings window, select "Erase data" and "Clear cache".

I think this should help even more users, but if not, let's move on.

3. Uninstall Google Play Market updates

We proceed in the same way as in paragraph 2, but now instead of "Erase data" and "Clear cache" click "Delete updates".

This will return the Play Market to its original state at the time of installation.

4. Reset the settings of the application "Google Play Services"

Go to settings again, open "Applications" and find "Google Play Services" in the list. Open it and also clear cache and data.

5. Clear the cache and data "Google Services Framework"

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select "Google Services Framework". Click "Erase Data" and "Clear Cache".

6. The Google Accounts app is disabled

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select "Google Accounts". If this application is disabled, enable it.

7. Turn on "Boot Manager"

In the application section, swipe to the left, go to the "All" tab and open the "Download Manager". If you have it disabled, click "Enable".

If it is already activated, and the previous tips did not help and Google Play does not work, follow on.

8. Delete Google account and restore it

You can learn more about this in the instructions:. There, in step 6, select "Delete account".

9. Apps blocking the Google Play Market

Some programs may block the Play Store. For example, the well-known application Freedom, which allows you to make in-app purchases for free, may interfere with the normal operation of the Google app store.

10. Configure the "hosts" file

If you have the application installed, then this item is for you.

This method requires root rights. You can get them using the following instructions:

First, disable the Freedom application (in the program menu, item "Stop"), and only then uninstall it.

After that, install the app or. Then find along the way / system / etс / file "hosts", open it with a text editor and leave only this line (if not, write it):

127.0.0.1 localhost

Save your changes. After that, restart your Android gadget.

11. Reset settings (Hard Reset) Android

This is the most radical method that will erase all data from the internal storage. The data on the memory card will remain intact. Full instructions on our website: (follow the link, you need the second method from the article).

This advice will definitely help, so don't be afraid - you can also use it. The main thing is to create a backup of the system before that. How to do this, read in paragraph 6 of this manual.

After that, at the first start, you can restore all data from the previously created backup (backup).

12. Check your internet connection

Check your network connection. If no website opens in the browser, restart your router and that's right.

13. Set the correct time ("No connection" error)

If an error occurs: "There is no connection", although the Internet is working, then this point of our instructions should help you.

Set the correct time and correct time zone. It is best to synchronize these settings with the network. To do this, go to "Settings" → "Date and time" and put a tick in front of the items "Date and time of the network" and "Time zone of the network".

14. Blocking IP addresses by Google

UPD 04/23/2018 After the ban on Telegram in Russia, Roskomnadzor blocked more than 18 million Google IP addresses, which caused many users to have problems connecting to the company's services, including the Play Market.

To restore access to the Android app store, use. Since Google Play won't open, you'll have to download a VPN client too (for example,

Like Windows, the Android operating system allows you to install applications offline, however, most users prefer to use the Google Store for this purpose, or rather, the special Play Market program. This method is not only more convenient, but also safer than installing from an APK file, since many applications are scanned by an antivirus program before being published.

Alas, neither the Play Market nor the Android OS itself is perfect, so from time to time users have to face various errors, including errors in the Google Store. For some, the Play Market simply does not open, for others it cannot connect to the server, someone complains about the inability to perform this or that operation.

The reasons why the Play Market does not work are to a greater extent related to malfunctions in the system itself, but it often happens that the fault of the Store's malfunctions is the user himself, who voluntarily or involuntarily changed the Android system settings. What should you do if the Google store, which was functioning completely normal before, suddenly stopped working?

Temporary problems

App Store problems can be caused by temporary interruptions in system services. This fully explains why the Play Market does not work on Android. What to do? No matter how trite it may sound, a simple reboot of the device often helps in such cases.

It should also be noted that problems with the Store may be related to problems on Google's servers. It is very easy to check this, just try to open the Store in a browser or from another device.

Lack of internet connection

Check if everything is in order with your Internet connection, if you have enough funds on your account, if the limit of mobile traffic has been exhausted, if you have left the coverage area, if the source of the signal is a router, make sure that it distributes the Internet, and the mobile device sees the network and is connected to it.

Lost Store and Google services settings

It is possible that the problem is related to a failure in the settings of the Store itself or Google services. Eliminate this option. Go to the application management section and, finding the Play Market there, clear its cache. If this is not enough, click also the "Erase Data" button.

These actions will delete temporary files, reset the Play Market settings to their default values and, if the problem was here, restore it to work. The same steps must be repeated for the Google Play Services application. Please note only that after the reset you will have to log in again.

Problematic updates

If Play Market on Android does not start after the update, it is possible that the source of the problem is bugs in the update package. Try uninstalling the update or rolling back to a previous version of the app, if available. For these purposes, it is good to have some kind of application backup software on the device, for example, SYNCit HD.

Disabled Download Manager or Google Accounts

The Android operating system has a service application called Download Manager. It is believed that for the Play Market to work correctly, it must be running. Go to Application Management, go to the All tab, find the Download Manager application and make sure it works. If the Manager is not active, enable it.

At the same time, we recommend that you find the Google Accounts application and also make sure that it is also active. If this application is disabled, the Play Market will not open, and if it does, it will most likely work incorrectly.

Google Account Access Errors

The reason why you cannot enter the Playlist Market may be an error accessing your Google account. You can work around this problem by deleting and reconnecting your Google Account.

Since deleting an account may result in the loss of user information, you must back up important data before performing the operation.

The presence of incompatible applications on the device

Some third-party applications, in particular Freedom, can block access to Google services and thereby disrupt the Play Market. If you are using Freedom or another similar app and you suspect that it is the one that is causing the Google Store to malfunction, uninstall it. It is necessary to uninstall such programs correctly, namely, first the application must be stopped and only after that the uninstall button must be pressed. Sometimes a running vpn service prevents the Market from working properly. Try to stop it temporarily.

HOSTS file changed

A number of third-party applications, such as, for example, the same Freedom, can modify the HOSTS system file, which is responsible for setting up connections with remote hosts. There is a possibility that some third-party program has written its data in this file, which prevents the normal connection to Google servers. Therefore, after completely uninstalling questionable applications, you should check the HOSTS file.

To access it, you need to be root. Let's assume you have them. Go to the file manager at the location / system / etс, open the specified file with any text editor and delete all content from it except for the line 127.0.0.1 localhost. Save the file, reboot the device and test the Play Market.

Store files are corrupted

Another reason why Play Market does not start may be a violation of the integrity of its files. Such damage could have occurred after a virus attack or user manipulation of Store files. In this case, you need to try reinstalling the Play Market. Remove the application in the standard way, clean the system with CCleaner or another cleaner, then download the APK installation file of the Market from a trusted source and produce it in any way convenient for you.

Incorrect time is set in the settings

And now let's consider the situation when the Play Market does not work via Wi-Fi or mobile Internet and says "No connection", although it is known for sure that everything is in order with the Internet connection on the device. The most likely cause of this problem is the wrong time in the settings. Go to the date and time section and check the boxes next to the "Network time zone" and "Network date and time" options. After that, the date and time will be synchronized automatically.

Resetting the device to factory settings

Resetting to factory settings or Hard Reset is a tough method that should only be resorted to when other methods have not yielded results. Before resetting, it is imperative to back up your personal data, as well as the necessary applications, because they will all be deleted. You can start the hard reset procedure either from the Recovery and Reset section or from the Recovery menu (recovery mode).

Flashing

This is perhaps the most radical way to restore the Market. There have been cases where the Google Store, as well as other apps, services, and the Android operating system itself, continued to malfunction even after a factory reset. In this case, you can resort to flashing as an extreme option.

Short summary

So, we have given the main reasons why the Play Market on Android often does not open and indicated what to do in most of the cases described. It is necessary, however, to understand that there are problems, so to speak, of a private nature, which users of mobile devices with custom firmware have to deal with. The same should be said about the owners of Chinese mobile phones, in the firmware of which Google services are not used in principle. Errors in the Play Store, for example, after installing it on a Meizu smartphone, may be caused by other reasons, which should be considered in the context of the features of the mobile device and its software environment.

Owners of Android devices quite often face a rather unpleasant problem: the Play Market does not work, without which the smartphone or tablet will not receive updates for applications, and the user will not be able to download the game he likes. If it has not bypassed you either, then from today's article you will learn how to deal with it. Believe me, there is nothing complicated, but before moving on to the solutions, you need to figure out for what reasons the Play Market does not work.

Reasons why Play Market does not work on Android

Photo: Play market does not work

There are actually dozens, if not hundreds, of reasons. The most common and frequently encountered:

  • Play Market may not work due to technical work. Of course, this happens extremely rarely, but you should not cross it out. As a rule, they are conducted for a short time, therefore it is enough to wait a little and try to re-enter the Play Market.
  • Due to the wrong time or date. A very common reason is when the user simply does not notice that the time is displayed incorrectly. As a rule, the Play Market does not work, and as an explanation, an error is displayed that there is no connection.
  • Internet connection problems. Very often Play Market does not work due to lack of network coverage or connection to an access point.
  • There have been changes in the hosts file. Programs installed on the device can modify the Android system files. As a result, the Play Store may stop launching. To fix the situation, you need to edit the file, which is described below.
  • The Play Market on Android may not work due to various applications, for example Freedom, which are blocking access to it.

What to do. Ways to fix errors

So, we figured out the reasons. Naturally, there can be much more of them, we have only selected the most frequent ones. However, the methods of "revitalizing" the Play Market, which we will analyze, work in most cases.

Checking the connection to the Network

First of all, make sure your device is connected to the internet and it actually works. It is very easy to check this - launch your browser and try to load any page. If all else fails, go to the settings and make sure that data transfer is enabled. If you are using Wi-Fi, then check the connection accordingly.

Reboot the device, set the time

The easiest method that can be applied when the Play Store does not work, and when the smartphone freezes, and for many other problems. You may be skeptical about this method, but in 50% of cases, a reboot does help solve the problem.

If you are sure that everything is in order with the Internet connection, then it is worth checking the time and date settings. It so happens that the user simply incorrectly set the month or day, which led to an error like "No connection". Check the entered data carefully.

Resetting the settings and clear the cache

  • Go to device settings (gear image).
  • Find the "Applications" or "Application Manager" item, which lists all installed programs.
  • Find the Google Play Market with the corresponding icon.
  • Here we are looking for the buttons "Clear cache", "Erase data" and "Delete updates" - click on everything.
  • To fix the operation, we recommend that you restart the device so that the system sees the changes faster

In addition, a similar operation can be done with another program - "Google Play Services". You can find it here.

After that, we check if the Play Market is working, the problem is solved - great, no - go to the next step.

We turn on what we turned off

Often, users accidentally or intentionally disable services or programs that are important for the system, and as a result, the Play Market does not work. Make sure the Google Accounts app is active by selecting the appropriate item from the list of programs. If disabled, just click the Enable button. Also check if the Download Manager application is enabled, without which, by the way, many services on an Android device may not work. After completing the steps, try to launch the Play Store. Still not working? Do not be discouraged, we have considered only part of the methods.

Remove Google account

Problems with access to the Play Store on Android often stem from an incorrect Google account setup. It is represented by an account that contains the login and password entered during registration (the very first entry into the Play Market). It is not clear why, but it is account problems that often cause various errors, including those with the Play Market, especially on older versions of Android.

Before proceeding with deleting your Google account, you need to save important data (synchronize), otherwise you may lose the necessary information.

  • We go to the settings.
  • We find the accounts section, which lists all the services, the data from which is stored in the device's memory.
  • We select the item "Google".
  • You will see all the accounts associated with Google services.
  • Select the one you are using by clicking on it.
  • A menu will appear in which the possible actions are listed, select "Synchronization".
  • We mark the items that need to be synchronized. Typically, users back up contacts or personal data from the device memory. By the way, in the same menu you can put a tick in front of "Auto-sync" - the most important information will definitely not be deleted.
  • Wait a while for the process to complete

Now you can safely delete your account without worrying that all data will be lost. To delete, click on the three dots (menu) located in the upper right corner. Select "Delete" from the list. After confirming the action, your account will be deleted. Reboot the device, and then try to launch the Play Market by entering the username and password for the account. Usually, this method helps with the solution of the problem.

Removing third-party applications

Have you tried several methods, but Play Market still does not work? It is possible that the cause of the problem was your actions that disrupted the performance of the system. The fact is that Android, unlike iOS, is not so strict about unknown applications. The operating system, as well as the App Store, carefully check each program, preventing suspicious ones on the smartphone. On Android, you can install anything you want. The same Play Market is full of incomprehensible programs.

Very often, the Freedom application, which is popular among users, leads to the inoperability of the Play Store. It is used to bypass the license check that the Play Market does. It is also used by users to emulate purchases (make them for free) in games. That is, it specifically intercepts application requests to Google Play. Therefore, the solution to the problem with the non-working Play Market, if Freedom is installed, is either disabling or completely uninstalling the program.

Problems can be associated with other programs as well. Think about what applications you installed before Play Market stopped launching on your tablet or smartphone. Scroll through the list of installed programs, removing those that you think may affect the operation of the application. Finally, reboot the device.

Checking and cleaning the system

In the course of work, various garbage can accumulate in the operating system, which will interfere with the launch and operation of the Play Store on Android. Cleaning is very simple: install the Clean Master application (since we cannot launch the Play Market, download it to a computer and drop it onto a smartphone or tablet), start the check and wait for the process to end. It will not be superfluous to check the system for viruses. To do this, download the antivirus from the official website of the antivirus software developer - today many companies support mobile devices, for example Dr. Web or Kaspersky.

Fixing the hosts file

A working method that suits advanced users. By the way, we recommend it in case you don't want to delete Freedom by refusing free coins in games. The problem is that some applications run their "roots" in the system files of the operating system, slightly modifying them to make the most comfortable conditions for themselves.

Please note that this method only works with devices that have ROOT (superuser rights). Getting them is actually very simple and quite fast, for example, using programs: Framaroot, VRoot, King ROOT (they do not work on all devices). Although, if changes have occurred in the hosts file, then most likely you already have ROOT rights.

So, for starters, if the Freedom application is installed, disable it in the Applications menu (Settings).

  • Make sure you have superuser rights (you can install the Root Checker program).
  • Start one of the file managers, granting it superuser rights (a window with a proposal will appear). We recommend using ES Explorer or Root Explorer.
  • Open the System folder, then ets, where the hosts file is located.

Be sure to make a copy of the file, saving it in a different place, so that in case of problems, you can return everything to its original state.

  • Click on the file holding your finger until a menu appears, in which click on the "Edit" item.
  • Erase everything except "127.0.0.1 localhost".
  • Confirm saving the changes to the file.

Restart your tablet or smartphone, then check if the Play Store is working. If the cause of the problem lay in the hosts file, then the application is guaranteed to start.

Resetting Android Settings

If the above methods did not help and the Play Market still does not work, then we proceed to radical measures - a return to the factory settings.

During the operation, all data and programs from the phone's memory (photos, music, contacts, etc.) will be deleted, the settings will return to their original state (the theme of the design, the ringing tone will change). In general, your smartphone will be like new. So take care of your data by making a backup. By the way, the information stored on the memory card does not need to be deleted.

To perform a factory reset, go to the device settings and select "Restore and reset" (in earlier versions of Android - "Privacy"). Select "Reset phone settings", read the warning and confirm the action. The smartphone will reboot, after which you can try to enter the Play Store. In the vast majority of cases, the method works, but you have to reinstall the required programs.

For the Android phone user, the Google Play digital service is the main source of useful applications and updates to already installed applets. Therefore, the problem of a sudden store crash is quite serious, when Google Play gives an error when trying to load a virtual storefront.

The main reasons why Google Play does not work can be:

  • System crashes on the side of developer servers
  • Network problems
  • System error on the user's device
  • Incorrect time and date readings
  • Hosts file changes

There are several ways to revive access to the digital distribution service. We will analyze the most affordable and reliable methods and show all the algorithms for solving the problem using the example of the Fly Cirrus 12 smartphone with the sixth version of Android installed. All solutions are applicable to earlier versions of the OS, only the names of the items in the menu will differ slightly.

Method 1. Reboot the device

A forced reboot of the device, in principle, can solve most of the problems in the operation of applications on a smartphone. Very often this or that utility freezes and does not respond to user commands. In this case, a reboot fixes the problem.

Method 2. Enabling Google Account

One of the most common reasons why Google Play doesn't work is if your Google account has been disconnected. To fix this problem, follow the system process again:

  • Go to Android settings
  • Select the Application item
  • In the drop-down menu, select System Processes
  • Click on the Google Accounts line (usually it goes first in the list)
  • If the process is deactivated, click the Enable button

It will also not be superfluous to check the Google Play Services system process, which is in the same list.

Method 3. Reset Google Play Settings

Service may stop working due to full application cache. In this case, you need to clear the storage from unnecessary data. To do this, in the Applications tab, find the line with the Play Market utility. Here, click on two buttons: Erase Data and Clear Cache. Here, by clicking on the drop-down menu, you can uninstall updates. After that, restart your phone for the changes to take effect.

Method 4. Enabling the download manager

Quite often, users, freeing up the device's memory from unnecessary loads, disable or stop important applications, including the Download Manager - a system utility responsible for downloading and updating programs. This application is in the list of system processes. Go to the manager settings and click Enable.

Method 5. Delete and restore Google account

Sometimes the Google Play Market does not work on the phone due to problems with the settings and account algorithms. It will have to be deleted and restored again, but before that it is important to synchronize the data, that is, make a backup.

  • Enter the Accounts section
  • Select the item Google
  • Select the necessary sections for synchronization (Calendar, Disk, Contacts, and so on)
  • In the drop-down menu, click the Synchronize button
  • Delete your account
  • Go back to the list of accounts and click Add

When creating a Google account, Android will offer to restore data from a backup. After that, it remains to restart the phone and try to go to Google Play.

Method 6. Remove incompatible applications

Some utilities that are installed on a smartphone via apk files may conflict with the Google Play system application and even block it. This happens most often with the Freedom program, which hacks mobile games and allows you to make in-app purchases for free.

Such applications make changes to the system hosts file, which stores the databases of the user's domains and IP addresses. If programs like Freedom interfere with Google Play, go to the settings of the harmful utility, stop its process and uninstall the application.

Method 7. Reset Android settings

Quite a radical way, as it deletes all user data and files on the phone. Therefore, before you roll back the system settings to the factory settings, save all important documents, photos and video files on a third-party media or PC. Next, do the following:

  • Go to Android settings
  • Select the Restore and reset item
  • It will be useful to enable data backup here. The system will copy network passwords, call log, application settings and other data to the selected account.
  • Click on Reset settings.
  • Restart the device

Method 8. Check your internet connection

In some cases, the indicators of the Internet connection hang on the smartphone screen: either mobile or Wi-Fi. That is, the indicator is on, but there is no connection with the Network. In this case, you need to go to the Wireless networks section and check if this or that module is currently enabled.

Method 9. Reconfigure the date and time in the phone

One of the common problems with stopping Google Play is a failure in the date and time settings on the user's device. For example, when the time zone is incorrectly set. To solve this problem, go to the system date and time settings, set the correct values and turn on the date, time and time zone of the network.

Now you know what to do if Google Play isn't working. Please note that all of the above methods do not require special technical knowledge, are performed using standard settings, and most importantly, they do not use complex and critical methods, such as rooting a phone.
