One of my favorite salads, regardless of preparation. This time I served it on the table Caesar salad with chicken and Chinese cabbage. The sauce makes the chicken tender and juicy.

You can use both homemade and store-bought crackers (to speed up the process).

Preparation:

  1. Preparing croutons for Caesar salad: Cut the crust off the loaf and cut each slice into small pieces.
  2. Cut the garlic lengthwise into 2 parts.
  3. Heat the vegetable or olive oil well in a frying pan, add the garlic there and let it grate for 2-3 minutes. Then remove the garlic and place the loaf cubes in the aromatic oil. Fry the loaf until golden brown. This, in fact, can be limited to this, but I also dry the loaf in the oven (at 180 degrees for about 6-7 minutes).
  4. Prepare mayonnaise sauce for Caesar salad: Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
  5. In a bowl, combine cheese, garlic (passed through garlic), mayonnaise, milk and lemon juice. Pepper and salt to taste.
  6. Preparing Caesar salad: Rinse the chicken fillet thoroughly, dry with a paper towel, place in a bowl, add salt and pepper, and pour in sour cream. Leave in the refrigerator for an hour (the longer the better).
  7. After an hour, remove the chicken fillet, cut into small cubes and fry in 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil until cooked.
  8. Wash the Chinese cabbage leaves thoroughly and cut into small pieces.
  9. Wash the tomatoes and cut into small cubes.
  10. Ideally, the salad is formed in the following layers: Chinese cabbage - tomatoes - chicken - dressing - croutons. But as soon as you mix the salad, it no longer matters. So, our Caesar salad with chicken and Chinese cabbage is ready. Bon appetit!

More often than all other options on our family menu, Caesar with chicken and, in my opinion, with Chinese cabbage, it tastes very harmonious. I really like to cook with chicken breast, its juicy pieces are perfect for salads! Chicken meat prepared in any way is also suitable: baked in the oven, boiled in water or steamed, etc.

Take note or prepare a mayonnaise-based sauce by adding garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce or anchovies and hard cheese...

For Caesar salad with Chinese cabbage and chicken, prepare the ingredients according to the list.

Prepare croutons of the desired size and shape from white bread. The loaf or baguette can be cut into cubes or thin slices. You can simply tear the ciabatta into pieces with your hands. Brush or sprinkle the croutons with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped garlic. Dry the crackers on a baking sheet in the oven.

Cut the chicken breast into thin slices. Here is pastrami, for which I used a curry mixture as spices.

Wash and dry the Chinese cabbage. Then chop the leaves. If you wish, you can chop them completely or only their leaf part, after removing the dense veins.

Grate hard cheese. In this version, Irish white cheddar is used, and traditionally parmesan is used, which gives the same taste, but flavor analogues of parmesan will also work.

Assemble the salad in portions on a flat plate. First, place a heaping portion of Chinese cabbage leaves, pour about 1 tablespoon of Caesar dressing over them, and sprinkle with about 1 tablespoon of grated cheese.

Arrange the chicken and tomato slices.

Pour the second portion of the sauce over the salad. Serve immediately, accompanying the salad with crispy croutons and a good sprinkling of grated cheese.

There are different variations of the famous and the beloved. In its classic interpretation, you need to prepare a complex salad dressing using anchovies and Worcestershire sauce, as well as other ingredients. This option can be considered a budget option, because an easy-to-prepare mayonnaise sauce will be used. But this doesn’t make the Caesar salad with Chinese cabbage, chicken, croutons and mayonnaise any worse.

Required Products:

How to cook with photos step by step




1. Rinse chicken breast and dry with paper towels. Pepper and salt. Leave for a few minutes to marinate the meat.




2. In a hot frying pan with a small amount of oil, fry the brisket on both sides until done. Leave the meat to cool.




3. Cut the white loaf slices into small cubes. If desired, you can cut off the crust. Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Place the prepared pieces into a frying pan, pepper and add a little salt. Toast the crackers over medium heat until light golden brown.






4. Peel and chop the garlic (2-3 cloves). Combine with crackers and mix thoroughly so that all pieces of bread absorb the garlic aroma. Remove from heat and cool.




5. Meanwhile, prepare the salad sauce, but not the classic one, but one based on mayonnaise. To do this, peel and chop the garlic (2-3 cloves) (pass through a press). Combine with mayonnaise and mix well.




6. When all the components are ready, you can start assembling the salad. Rinse the napa cabbage leaves, dry with paper towels to remove excess water, and roughly chop (or “tear” with your hands). Place on a plate, forming a “pillow-base”. Tip: To keep Chinese cabbage leaves crispy longer, place them in cold water for 10-15 minutes before using, then pat dry with paper towels.






7. Wash the tomatoes and cut into small slices (or cubes). Place on top of the cabbage layer.




8. Cut the cooled meat into medium strips (or cubes). It is important that the pieces are not very small. Also “sprinkle” them on the salad.




9. Place mayonnaise sauce on top.




10. Then add garlic croutons to the salad.






11. Finally, sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan.




12. Serve Caesar salad with Chinese cabbage, chicken, croutons and mayonnaise immediately,
so that it remains crispy and the crackers do not get soggy. A little later, its taste will not be so attractive. Stir at the table and enjoy its light, refreshing taste.

How to make Caesar with smoked chicken:

  1. We make croutons: cut off the crusts from the baguette slices, cut the pulp into small squares and brown in the oven.
  2. We tear the washed lettuce leaves into pieces by hand.
  3. Chop the ham into small cubes.
  4. Pass the cheese through a fine grater.
  5. Cut the washed tomato into slices.
  6. For the dressing, grind a boiled egg in a blender, combine with mustard, juice, oil, seasonings with salt and chopped garlic in a separate bowl.
  7. We combine all the ingredients in a deep salad bowl and season with the resulting sauce.

With added beans

In this recipe, beans replace meat, which vegetarians will really like.

  • seven lettuce leaves;
  • hard cheese - 50 g;
  • a cup of white boiled beans;
  • tomatoes - 100 gr;
  • dried garlic - 3 g;
  • onion - 50 g;
  • mayonnaise - 50 g;
  • three slices of white bread.

Step-by-step preparation:

  1. Divide the bread into pieces and sauté in a frying pan for 3 minutes with the addition of garlic.
  2. Cut the washed leaves with a knife.
  3. Finely chop the tomatoes.
  4. Cut the peeled onion into half rings.
  5. Place the prepared products in a salad bowl, add boiled beans to them.
  6. Pour mayonnaise and mix.
  7. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and put croutons.

Caesar with Chinese cabbage and chicken

  • one chicken breast;
  • six small cherry type tomatoes;
  • three slices of bread;
  • cabbage - 100 gr;
  • two quail eggs;
  • cheese - 50 g;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • lemon juice;
  • two chicken eggs;
  • mustard - 8 gr.

Cooking features:

  1. We cut the fillet into strips.
  2. Saute the straws in a frying pan for 10 minutes with the addition of salt.
  3. Finely chop the Chinese cabbage.
  4. Boil quail eggs for 10 minutes.
  5. Caesar dressing is made like this: boil water, dip chicken eggs in it for one minute and take them out. Break the eggs into a separate bowl, beat them a little and add mustard and lemon juice to them. Mix. Pour olive oil and process in a blender.
  6. Brown the pieces of white bread in the oven and then fry them in a frying pan.
  7. Place pieces of cabbage, chicken and sauce in a salad bowl. Mix.
  8. Add tomato slices and grated cheese.

With anchovy mayonnaise dressing

The sauce can radically change the salad, even if the ingredients are the same.

You will need:

  • lemon juice - 30 ml;
  • grated cheese - 40 g;
  • olive oil - 60 ml;
  • two plastic anchovy fillets;
  • mayonnaise - 100 gr;
  • salt to taste;
  • a pinch of black pepper.

Cooking option:

  1. Remove the peel from the garlic and crush it with a press.
  2. Place mayonnaise, grated cheese, pieces of anchovy fillet, lemon juice and ground pepper into a blender. Turn on and grind the contents.
  3. Gradually add olive oil, stirring the mixture.
  4. Add salt to taste and grind everything again. The Caesar sauce is ready.
  5. We make the salad according to the standard recipe.
  6. At the very end, combine the ingredients in a salad bowl, pour over the sauces, sprinkle with grated cheese and pieces of croutons. Bon appetit!

How to cook with shrimp?

You will need:

  • two leaves of green salad;
  • parmesan - 50 g;
  • one tomato;
  • two garlic cloves;
  • half a lemon;
  • half a loaf;
  • two chicken eggs;
  • mustard - 4 g;
  • olive oil, pepper and salt to taste.

How to prepare Caesar salad:

  1. Boil the eggs and remove the yolks.
  2. Cut the loaf into squares.
  3. Grind the peeled garlic in any way and sauté in a frying pan.
  4. Add bread to it and fry.
  5. Sauté the shrimp and place on a paper towel.
  6. Make the sauce: put mustard, pepper, butter, lemon, yolks, salt into a blender and grind.
  7. Chop the tomatoes into pieces.
  8. Tear washed and dried lettuce.
  9. Pass the cheese through a grater.
  10. Place pieces of leaves on the bottom of the plate, drizzle with sauce, sprinkle with croutons, and place shrimp on top.
  11. Drizzle with remaining sauce and sprinkle with cheese.

With bacon and eggs

Main ingredients:

  • six slices of bacon;
  • two eggs;
  • grated cheese - 50 g;
  • olive oil - 40 ml;
  • two pieces of white bread;
  • lemon juice;
  • natural yogurt - 30 g;
  • head of lettuce;
  • a pinch of pepper;
  • salt to taste.

Subtleties of preparation:

  1. Cut the bread pulp into pieces and place in the oven for 4 minutes.
  2. Combine oil, yogurt, ground pepper, juice and salt in a common bowl.
  3. Fry the bacon in a frying pan without oil for two minutes.
  4. Divide the boiled eggs into four wedges.
  5. Disassemble the head of cabbage into leaves, wash and dry.
  6. Place bacon, lettuce leaves and egg slices in a salad bowl.
  7. Pour the sauce over the ingredients, sprinkle with crackers and cheese.

Fry the pieces of bread in vegetable oil until golden brown.


Shred Chinese cabbage into medium pieces. In a classic salad, lettuce leaves are torn, but in this recipe there is cabbage, so the mode is appropriate.

Cut fresh tomato into small slices.


The chicken fillet is already marinated. Place it in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil and fry as a whole for 5 minutes on each side. We make sure it doesn't burn. Then cover with a lid and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. From time to time, we make punctures in the meat with a knife. If there is no red juice (not raw), then the fillet is already ready. Remove from heat and cool.


In the meantime, let's make a simple salad dressing. It's not classic, but no less piquant. Mix in one container: unsweetened yogurt, dry herbs, mustard, salt and lemon juice.


Prepared chicken fillet, use a sharp knife to cut into thin slices.


Grate hard cheese on a fine grater.


In a deep bowl, season the chopped Chinese cabbage with more than half of the prepared sauce. Add a little salt to taste.
