The Mole MK-1A-02 motor cultivator is easy to maintain and operate. It consumes as fuel a mixture of gasoline AI-76, AI-80 with motor oil M-12-TPTU in a ratio of 25:1. MG-8A oil is used for the engine gearbox, and TAD-17 oil for the output gearbox.

For a new cultivator, the first 15 hours of operation are a break-in period - the running-in of the main components and mechanisms. During this period, it is prohibited to use the equipment at full capacity.

Various types of equipment can be installed on the motorized cultivator: hillers, weeders, trolley, mower, motor pump, plow, snow blower. Thanks to the reverse gear, the unit has good maneuverability, especially in confined spaces in greenhouses and vineyards.

Possible malfunctions, their elimination, repair

Each type of technology has certain characteristics. This also applies to Krot motor cultivators, so strict adherence to the manufacturer’s recommendations is the key to long-term uninterrupted operation of the machines.

As the experience of most equipment owners testifies, the main causes of malfunctions and breakdowns of the Mole MK-1A-02 motor cultivator come down to one thing: contamination of parts, components and mechanisms. Therefore, keeping agricultural machinery clean and timely should be the main rule for successful operation.

  • If the carburetor is dirty, the Mole MK-1A-02 motor-cultivator will overheat and stall.
  • The engine may not develop enough power due to clogging of the carburetor, the appearance of carbon deposits in the muffler, on the cylinder channels, or clogging of the engine air filter. The reasons may also be an increase in the tension of the V-belt, lack of compression.
  • Do not use pure gasoline, not mixed with oil, as fuel.
  • Do not use motor oil of brands that are not specified in the operating instructions.
  • Do not idle the engine for more than 10 minutes - due to low fuel consumption, the crankshaft bearing is not cooled enough and quickly overheats, which can lead to seizure.
  • For easy engine starting, promptly clean the drainage hole in the fuel tank cap and the filter element.
  • Due to insufficient engine warm-up, a dirty spark plug, or improper installation of the high-voltage wire tip, the engine may stall or operate intermittently.

Magneto - ignition system control

The system is tested visually, using a probe to measure the gap between the electrodes. For a detailed inspection of the magneto, remove the casing and flywheel and make the necessary adjustments in accordance with the instructions.

When adjusting the gap, in order to avoid damage, do not press forcefully on the central electrode.

Cultivator "Mole": characteristics, design

All manufactured models of the unit in question are characterized by a similar design. There is a “Mole” cultivator, to which a frame, tubular handles for controlling the unit and a bracket for installing auxiliary equipment are attached with bolts.

The handles have levers that allow you to shift and clutch. Some modern modifications of the "Mole" have a reverse and forward gear switch.

The engine, connected to the input shaft of the gearbox via a V-belt transmission, is attached to the frame. The cultivator rolls with the help of transport wheels, which are raised or removed altogether during the operation of the walk-behind tractor.

Mills (rotors with knives) for cultivating soil (to a depth of up to 25 cm), as well as additional attachments (mower, trolley, pumping unit, etc.), designed to expand the range of capabilities of the cultivator, are installed on the output shafts.

Technical characteristics of the engine of the base model of the cultivator

A 1-cylinder, carburetor, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 60 cc is used. cm. Motor power is 2.6 hp. at rpm from 5500 to 6500. The engine is started manually using a rope. Modifications of the cultivator "Mole"

The Krot (MK) cultivator, in addition to the basic model, has a number of modernized ones. Modifications consist of using a gearbox equipped with reverse gear and installing imported engines. Moreover, quite often modern models are equipped with four-stroke engines instead of two-stroke ones. Also, cultivators may differ in the design of the gas tank, carburetor, air cleaner, etc.

There are also Krot cultivators equipped with electric motors of various designs with electricity supplied via cable. The use of such units in greenhouses is especially convenient, since no emissions of pollutants are generated during their operation.

Operating principle

Tillage is carried out using rotors (mills) mounted on the gearbox shaft. Torque is transmitted to it from the engine through a V-belt drive.

During the rotation of the rotary knives, the soil layers are cut off, crushed and mixed. At the same time, the cultivator moves forward.

By following some general instructions from the manufacturer, you can significantly extend the life of such a unit, as user reviews confirm this.

The cultivator must be transported strictly in a vertical position, which will prevent oil from spilling out of the gearbox and getting into the air filter.

It is not recommended to use the cultivator at full capacity immediately. In the first few hours (about 15) it should be allowed to break in. To do this, one area should be processed in several passes with a gradual increase in plowing depth.

If the space between the cutters and the gearbox housing becomes clogged with roots, stones or anything else, you must immediately turn off the cultivator and remove the stuck objects. This way you will prevent damage. If there are a large content of roots (small stones) in the soil, it is recommended to reduce the rotation speed of the rotor blades.

Operating the Krot cultivator: user instructions

To cultivate land plots, various auxiliary equipment is used, mounted on the Krot cultivator. The operating instructions indicate that with the help of attachments you can plow the soil, weed weeds, hill up or dig up potatoes, mow grass, pump water, and transport cargo. Let's look at how to properly perform these types of work using the "Mole" cultivator.

Plowing the soil with a milling cutter or plow

Soil cutters are put on the gearbox shafts. The transport wheels are raised. In this case, cutters are not only the working body, but also the mover of the unit. To adjust the plowing depth, a special coulter is attached to the bracket, which also serves as a brake.

The "Mole" cultivator is equipped with four cutters (two external and two internal). For processing heavy soils (fallow, virgin) only two internal cutters are used. On relatively light soils, all four can be used. It is also possible to use six cutters at once (an additional set must be purchased separately). This makes it easier to work with the cultivator, preventing it from digging into the soil. It is not recommended to install more than six cutters on the unit, so as not to break the handles due to the increased weight, as well as overload the engine and transmission.

If it is necessary to plow the soil with a plow (must be purchased additionally), wheels (metal) with lugs are put on the gearbox shafts. The plow is attached to the bracket.

Plowing with a plow is inferior to tilling with a milling cutter, since in the latter case the soils are better loosened. In addition, weeds are crushed and covered better, and fertilizers are mixed more evenly with the soil.

How to weed weeds and hill up potatoes?

To weed weeds, instead of plowing knives, L-shaped weeding blades are installed on the internal cutters. To protect cultivated plants, you can install protective discs in place of external cutters. They are purchased separately as they are not included with the cultivator.

In order to pre-hill up the potatoes during the weeding process, the opener is replaced with a hiller. It is also sold separately. If you just need to hill up potatoes, then in addition to installing the hiller, you need to remove the tillers and install lug wheels instead.

How to dig up potatoes?

To be able to dig up potatoes, you should additionally purchase a special digging device, which is installed instead of the coulter. In this case, wheels with lugs are installed instead of soil cutters.

Mowing grass

The "Mole" cultivator can be used for cutting grass and making hay. To do this, a mower is hung from the front (purchased additionally), and wheels are installed on the geared output shafts. To connect the mower to the engine via a V-belt drive, the output shaft is equipped with an additional pulley.

How to pump water?

In order to pump water from an open reservoir, a pumping unit must be mounted on the cultivator frame, connected to the engine by a V-belt drive, which must be removed from the traction gearbox. Pumping equipment is not included in the delivery package, but must be purchased separately.

How can you transport cargo using a motor cultivator?

To be able to transport cargo, you must purchase an additional small-sized trolley with a rotary coupling device. In this case, rubber-coated wheels are put on the output shafts of the gearbox. 200 kilograms is the maximum weight that the Mole can transport.

This means that in order to cultivate the soil at the design depth of 25 cm, no increase in the speed is required. When operating such a unit, the consumption of fuels and lubricants is reduced, and there is no need to add oil to the fuel.

The "Mole" motor cultivator (hereinafter referred to as MK) is one of the first domestic products of small-sized agricultural machinery, designed for shallow (up to 25 cm) cultivation (milling without turning over the layer) of soil, loosening it, harrowing, leveling, weeding rows and other work on personal plots , vegetable and garden plots with a cultivated area of ​​about 0.04...0.10 hectares.

All tillage operations are carried out using the MK working tool - a milling cutter (rotors with specially shaped knives). Torque from the engine through a V-belt drive, gears and sprockets with a chain is transmitted to the gearbox shaft with rotors mounted on it.

When rotating, the rotor knives cut off layers of soil, crumble and mix them, while simultaneously causing the forward movement of the machine.

The advantage of a milling cutter in comparison with a plow is better loosening of the soil, chopping and embedding of crushed weeds, as well as uniform mixing of organic and mineral fertilizers with the soil throughout the entire depth of cultivation.

The use of MK is also possible on heavy soils, when cultivating virgin lands.

The MK is relatively easy to use, does not require large storage spaces, and its low weight and dimensions allow it to be transported in the trunk or on the roof of a passenger car.

To expand the functionality of the MK, additional attachments have been developed with which it can perform: hilling, weeding between rows, transporting various materials along hard-surfaced dirt roads, supplying water from open water sources, mowing grass, etc. (see Appendix 6 ).

Attachments: trolley, mower, pumping unit and others are connected to the MK using additional accessories (see Appendix 7).

This model has a centrifugal engine speed regulator, an improved carburetor, a new air filter and a reverse gear, which reduces operating fuel consumption, reduces noise levels, and increases service life.

The presence of reverse gear improves the performance of the mole motor-cultivator in shallow areas, as well as when operating the MK with additional attachments: a trolley, a mower, etc.

Some design changes may not be reflected in this manual.

1. General instructions

MK is intended for use in areas with temperate climates. The air temperature during operation is from plus 1 °C to plus 40 °C.

The service life of the MK will be significantly increased if you strictly follow all the rules for operation, maintenance and storage specified in this manual.

ATTENTION! Filling the fuel tank, adjustments, maintenance and other types of work should be carried out with the MK engine stopped.

Strictly follow general fire safety rules when working with flammable liquids.

Do not allow fuel to come into contact with a hot engine or muffler.

Start the engine with the clutch disengaged.

Operate the MK only with installed covers.

If there is a sharp sudden increase in engine speed, immediately press the engine stop button "Stop".

Do not leave a working MK unattended.

The operator and people around him must always remain at a safe distance from the rotating rotors (1 m, minimum).

When working in enclosed spaces (greenhouses), periodically stop the engine and ventilate the room.

When engaging reverse gear, make sure there are no obstacles behind the operator.

Do not engage reverse gear when the MK clutch is engaged.

Do not use the clutch release when engaging the reverse lever.

When carrying out maintenance (see section 8) according to paragraphs 8 “Changing engine oil” and 9 “Changing gearbox oil”, drain the used oils into a separate container for subsequent disposal through gas stations in the prescribed manner.

When working with MK, it is necessary to use individual means of noise protection: earplugs or anti-noise headphones.

The operator's permissible working time per work shift should be:

without personal noise protection - 2 hours with a 30-minute break;

with personal noise protection equipment - 3 hours.

The service life of the MK is 7 years. At the end of its service life, the MK is subject to disposal through the Vtorchermet organization (recommended in disassembled form).

6. Preparing the cultivator for work

6.1. Assembly of MK.

Install pipes 8 and 17 into the grooves of frames 2, 22 (Fig. 1), having previously unscrewed the nuts of bolts 17, 18 (Fig. 9). Align the holes in the pipes with the holes in the frames and gearbox and secure them using the removed bolts and nuts, having previously set the required height of the handles.

Install clamp 9 on pipes 8, 17 (Fig. 1), securing it with screws, nuts and washers.

Install handles 12 and 14 into the hole in clamp 9, securing them with bolts and locking nuts. Fasteners are included in the tool bag. Install the throttle control lever 13 on the left handle. Make sure there are no sharp bends in the clutch, reverse and throttle cable sheaths. Connect the inner block with the outer one of the electrical connector 16.

Connect the tip of the clutch cable to the tension roller bracket 14 (Fig. 9) using a spring. Install clamp 2 into handle bracket 6. The spring and clamp are included in the tool packaging. Secure the clutch, reverse and carburetor control cables to pipes 8 and 17 using clamps included in the tool package.

For ease of use, it is recommended to use a tool bag (hinged), securing it to pipes 8 and 17 under clamp 9: the upper part - under the washers and nuts for fastening the clamp, the lower part - to the pipes using fastening clamps 150260004 from spare parts (in the tool package) .

Assemble the rotors and install them on the gearbox shaft according to Fig. 2. When installing, pay attention to the following: the rotors consist of two different pairs - right and left, and they should be installed so that the cutting edges of the knives enter the ground when the machine moves forward.

Shield 29 is installed on the MK. Protective shields 30 are included.

ATTENTION! After complete assembly of the MK, make adjustments:

V-belt drive (see section 8.5.);

Carburetor controls (see section 8.4.)

Reverse activation devices (see section 8.13).

Tighten the fasteners, tighten the loose nuts.

To clean the wheel from soil, set a gap of 7...10 mm between wheel 23 and bracket “a”.

Install coulter 2 according to Fig. 5, securing it with a special bolt, nut and clamp.

6.2. Reactivation of MK.

To protect parts from corrosion, MK goes on sale preserved. Before starting to operate the MK, it must be reactivated in the following order:

Remove the hood 7 (Fig. 1). Wipe parts coated on the outside with protective lubricant with a clean cloth or rags soaked in gasoline.

Remove the suppressive resistance with the screen and high-voltage wire from the spark plug, and then unscrew the spark plug.

Install the MK with the spark plug hole vertically upward.

Using the starter, set the piston to the top dead center position.

Pour 50...60 ml of pure gasoline or fuel mixture into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and hold for 1 - 2 minutes.

Place the MK in a horizontal position and crank the engine with the starter 6...8 times (until the cylinder cavity is drained). While cranking, you must press and hold the engine stop button in the closed position.

Wash the spark plug with gasoline, dry it and install it in place; install a suppressive resistance with a screen and a high-voltage wire on the spark plug, secure the hood.

Wipe with paper (rags) and rinse the instrument in gasoline or kerosene. Restore spare parts as needed.

6.3. Preparation of the fuel mixture.

During the running-in period (the first 15 hours of operation), prepare a fuel mixture of gasoline A-76 or AI-80 eq with oil M-12TP, AZMOL Start2T in a ratio of 25:1, with oil MG-8A in a ratio of 16:1. Mix thoroughly and filter before filling into the tank.

When mixing gasoline and oil in a gas tank, first pour half of the total amount of gasoline into it, then all the oil, mix thoroughly, add the rest of the gasoline and mix again. In this case, first set the fuel valve handle to the “Closed” position.

At the end of the running-in, prepare the fuel mixture in the indicated way in a ratio of 40:1, with MG-8A oil in a ratio of 20:1.

ATTENTION! Never use pure gasoline (without oil), or a mixture that has been stored for more than 90 days.

6.4. Monitoring the oil level in the engine and gearbox.

Place the MK in a horizontal position.

Check the oil level in the engine gearbox (Fig. 3) by unscrewing the oil level screw. The oil level should always be above the inspection hole. If the level is the same, then you need to add approximately 0.U2 liters of oil through the oil filling hole.

6.5. Change of oil.

When changing oils in gearboxes, drain the oils by removing the plugs. Fill in fresh oils: approximately 0.08 l into the engine gearbox, 0.5 l into the chassis gearbox.

6.6. Movement of MK.

Move the MK to the place of work by securing wheels 1 (Fig. 4) with the help of axles and clamps in the lower position. 7.

7. Procedure for working with the Mole motor cultivator

7.1. Launch of MK.

Set clutch lever 25 (Fig. 3) (on the right handle) to the “Off” position; unscrew nut 28 of the fuel valve 2...3 turns counterclockwise; move the throttle lever 18 1/3 of the way clockwise; press the carburetor float 22 and hold for 10...30 seconds. (until fuel appears); pull out the starter cord 7 by 40...120 mm (until the pawls engage), then pull it sharply in the direction of the axis of the thrust funnel of the starter housing. After starting, warm up the engine at low speeds; in warm weather - 2...3 minutes, in cold weather - 8...10 minutes.

7.2. Soil cultivation.

Raise wheels 1 (Fig. 5) and fix the axles in the holes.

Start the engine. Make sure that the carburetor choke is open, otherwise the engine may stall while milling the soil. Leaving the clutch lever in the "Disengaged" position, move the Throttle lever clockwise. Slowly moving the clutch lever from the "Off" to the "On" position will cause the rotors to rotate. Before acquiring the appropriate skill, it is recommended to engage the clutch in a position where the rotor blades are raised and do not touch the ground.

The working position of the MK and the operator is shown in Fig. 5.

The depth of tillage depends on the position of the coulter: the deeper the coulter goes into the ground, the deeper the tillage. It is recommended to start cultivating the soil when the bolt is located in one of the middle holes of the opener.

The required width of the cultivated soil is adjusted by installing two or four rotors (Fig. 2).

When cultivating soil with 4 rotors, install additional shields using the fasteners from the package (Fig. 6).

If the machine increases the speed while simultaneously decreasing the depth of processing, press the handles and deepen the coulter.

If the MK does not move forward, and the rotors “burrow”, slightly raise the handles of the MK and bring it out of this state.

If the MK “leads” towards the treated area, it means that part of the rotor is going over the treated soil - move the MK in the opposite direction.

It is not allowed to lift or turn the machine with installed rotors, relying on the opener, as this can lead to deformation of the frames.

When working with the MK for a long time, set the clutch lever to the “On” position, lift the locking device 14, and the lever will be locked (Fig. 3). This will prevent you from holding the lever while working. To move the lever to the “Off” position, press the lever all the way up and release it.

When processing loose (loose) soil, make sure that the rotors do not go completely deep into the soil, thereby causing overload of the engine.

On heavy soils and virgin areas, treatment should be carried out in several stages, in layers, each time increasing the depth with the help of a coulter. In this case, good crushing of soil lumps is achieved and its most uniform structure is ensured.

After finishing the MK operation, release the gas, disengage the clutch and work for 2...3 minutes. at idle speed, then press the stop button. Close the fuel valve. Carry out maintenance (section 8).

Switch from forward to reverse and back only when the engine is running using the lever) pos. 17 (Fig. 3) with the clutch lever turned off, pos. 25, i.e. in the absence of rotation of the output (working) shaft of the MK.

ATTENTION! If it is difficult to engage the reverse lever, briefly engage the clutch, and after stopping the rotation of the rotors, repeat engaging the reverse gear.

7.3. MK adjustment.

When changing the type of work performed and when working on different soils, it is necessary to regulate the MC. The main regulation is to determine the correct position of the coulter, the number of rotors, and the positions of the handles.

Set the required coulter position after determining the required soil tillage depth. Till a small area of ​​soil, note the depth to which the rotating knives go, and set the coulter in the desired position. If the required depth is not achieved, remove one pair of rotors.

To change the distance between handles 6 (Fig. 9), loosen bolts 7 and locking nuts 8 on clamp 9, set the handles to the desired position, secure the bolts and nuts. To change the height of the handles, loosen the nuts of the bolts 17, 18 securing the lower ends of the pipes 16 on the gearbox, set the handles to the desired height and secure them.

7.4. Running in the MK.

ATTENTION! The first 15 hours of operation (production of 9...11 liters of fuel mixture) is a break-in period. Avoid overloading the soil compactor during this period: treat the soil in 2...3 steps to a depth of up to 10 cm per pass. Use the throttle lever no more than half its stroke.

Long-term operation (more than 10 minutes) of the MC at idle speed is strictly prohibited, since in this mode, due to low fuel consumption, the crankshaft bearing is insufficiently cooled, which can lead to its overheating and jamming.

8. Maintenance of the Mole motor cultivator

Maintenance includes washing, filling, lubricating, checking, fastening, adjusting and other operations.

8.1. Types and frequency of MK maintenance.

8.3. Maintenance of the fuel system and threaded connections.

8.3.1. Fuel system.

Check the tightness visually to ensure there are no leaks of oil and fuel mixture. If necessary, tighten the fastenings of threaded connections, replace rubber gas hoses or sealing gaskets.

8.3.2. Threaded connections.

Tighten threaded connections only with the help of the tool attached to the spare parts, avoiding thread breakage.

8.4.1. The MK engine is equipped with a centrifugal regulator. The function of the governor is to maintain the engine speed set by the throttle lever when the engine load increases or decreases. The regulator is driven by a device with rotating weights on the crankshaft and mechanical feedback from the carburetor throttle valve.

When the rotation speed of the engine shaft decreases, the throttle valve opens slightly, and when the rotation speed increases, it closes.

During manufacture, the engine is adjusted to the operating speed ranges:

Idle speed 2400...2600 min ""

Maximum speed 4500...4700 rpm "".

If necessary, it is possible to adjust the speed during operation on a running, warmed-up engine.

8.4.2. Adjusting the idle speed.

Check and set the gap of 0.2...0.5 mm between lever 8 and the gearbox cover.

Adjust the idle speed using the carburetor screws “P” - quantity (in a plastic cup) fig. 7 and “K” - quality when the throttle valve drive lever is in the extreme (counterclockwise) position in the following sequence:

By rotating the screw “P”, reduce the speed to the minimum stable;

By rotating the screw “K”, achieve maximum speed by ear (after reaching the maximum value, the speed drops);

Repeat the adjustment work with screws “P” and “K” 2...3 times.

With proper adjustment, the engine should operate stably in all modes.

8.4.3. Adjusting the maximum engine speed.

Adjustment is made with screw M at the extreme (clockwise) position of the carburetor drive lever. When screwing in the screw, the speed decreases, when turning out, it increases.

8.5. Adjustment of V-belt transmission.

Correct adjustment of the V-belt drive will ensure reliable clutch operation and the necessary durability of the V-belt.

The main tension of the V-belt is carried out with the clutch disengaged by moving the engine 10 (Fig. 9) along the frames 25 (in the direction of arrow D). Having previously unscrewed the screws 21, 24 with washers 20, 22, 23, remove the casing 19 and loosen the four nuts 26 securing the engine to the frames. The tension should be maximum, but not cause the rotors to rotate. Control of regulation can be done by slowly cranking the engine using the starter.

Additional tension is carried out using a tension roller by changing the position of screw 4. Before starting adjustment, screw 4 must be screwed in until it stops. In this position, with the engine running, engage the clutch and check the operation of the MK at full load. If the belt slips, increase the tension of the roller by turning out screw 4. Lock screw 4 with nut 3. Adjust the position of stop 13 by loosening the fastening nut. The stop must not touch the outer surface of the V-belt. The permissible gap I must be within 1...3 mm.

It is allowed to operate a V-belt with cracks on the inner diameter.

ATTENTION! When securing the engine, monitor the location of pulleys 11.15 of the V-belt drive. The pulleys must be located in the same plane. The permissible deviation is no more than 1 mm.

When installing the casing 19, the limiting bracket D (on the inner surface of the casing) should not touch the outer surface of the V-belt when fixing lever 1 to clamps 2. The permissible gap B should be within 1 ... 3 mm.

8.6. Cleaning the outer surfaces of the cylinder and cylinder head.

Cleaning the cylinder and cylinder head involves removing dust, dirt, vegetation debris, etc. from their outer surfaces.

Cleaning should be done mechanically, followed by rinsing with water, wiping dry and air drying for 2...3 hours.

8.7. Ignition system control.

Check the engine ignition system by external inspection, measuring the gap between the spark plug electrodes using a feeler gauge and checking the set magneto sparking moment.

To inspect the magneto 7 (Fig. 8), remove the spiral casing 6 (Fig. 10), cup 2, and unscrew the flywheel nut. Install the flywheel puller onto the flywheel and secure with three screws. Screw the Ml0x20 bolt (from the spare parts) into the puller and remove the flywheel.

Carry out a visual inspection of the magneto; if the magneto fastening screws are loosened and the marks “a” and “b” on magneto 7 and crankcase 8 do not match, align them and secure the screws. If it is necessary to dismantle the magneto, disconnect the electrical connector 3, use a screwdriver to release the wires with tips from the magneto plug block, unscrew the tip of the spark plug 5 from wire 4. Remove the magneto 7 with the wires from the housing seat 8, having previously unscrewed the fastening screws (2 pcs.). Unscrew the high voltage wire from the magneto transformer. Reassemble the dismantled parts in the reverse order.

ATTENTION! When installing the flywheel, align the keyways on the flywheel bushing and the crankshaft journal using a segment key.

Tighten the flywheel nut to a torque of 3.. 4 kgcm.

To avoid breaking the screw of the high-voltage transformer, screw the high-voltage wire into the screw of the magneto transformer 7 to a length of 8... 10 mm.

Perform a visual inspection of the "Stop" button 1, low-voltage wires 2, electrical connector 3, high-voltage wire 4, suppressive resistance 5.

If the insulation is damaged, repair the defect using insulating tape.

To inspect spark plug 6, dismantle the spark plug on a pre-cooled engine with the hood removed. Use the tool included in the spare parts kit.

In case of oil build-up, soot or carbon formation, clean the electrodes and the heat cone of the spark plug, rinse the electrodes and heat cone in gasoline, dry and blow.

Measure the gap between the central and side electrodes. The gap should be within 0.4...0.6 mm.

ATTENTION! If it is necessary to adjust the gap, do not put pressure on the central electrode - this may lead to breakage of it or the ceramic thermal cone.

Install the spark plug by first installing the O-ring, screwing it in by hand until it stops, and then using a spark plug wrench. When tightening, do not use excessive force - this may lead to stripping of the cylinder head threads.

8.8. Air filter control.

The air filter is checked by external inspection of the filter housing and filter element. Cleaning the filter housing involves removing dust, dirt, and vegetation residues from the surface.

Remove the filter housing by unscrewing the nut on the filter housing, rinse and wipe dry.

Clean the filter element by blowing it with air.

Replace the filter element in accordance with the maintenance.

If the filter element is heavily contaminated, it must be replaced regardless of operating hours.

Reassemble the air filter in the reverse order.

ATTENTION! Operation of the MK without installing a filter element is not allowed.

It is necessary to regularly check the tightness of the air filter housing nut.

8.9. Cleaning carbon deposits from the cylinder, cylinder head, piston, MK units, lubrication of control cables.

To perform these operations, it is necessary to partially disassemble the engine: remove the hood with the bracket; the tip of the high-voltage wire from the spark plug; turn out the spark plug; remove the fuel tank by unscrewing screw 21 (Fig. 3) in the carburetor cover and releasing the carburetor cable seal from the air damper groove, unscrew the four nuts and remove the cylinder head with washers and gasket; set the piston to bottom dead center and, lifting the cylinder up, remove it from the studs; disconnect the muffler and carburetor; Remove the piston rings by placing steel or brass plates 0.2...0.3 mm thick and 4...5 mm wide under the rings.

Wash the cylinder, cylinder head, muffler, carburetor with the fuel mixture, clean the cylinder channels and the combustion chamber of the head from carbon deposits.

If there is a ledge in the upper part of the cylinder bore (at the boundary of the upper piston ring), remove the ledge with a crescent scraper or an abrasive tool, avoiding damage to the cylinder bore below the ledge.

If necessary, clean the marks and burrs of the cylinder mirror with fine sandpaper rubbed with chalk and coated with oil. Minor risks should not be displayed.

Clean the piston bottom and the grooves for the piston rings from carbon deposits, after covering the crankcase hole with a clean cloth.

It is convenient to clean the piston grooves with an old broken piston ring.

Wash the cleaned parts thoroughly with the fuel mixture. Check the thermal gap at the joints of the piston rings inserted into the cylinder, the quality of fit of the piston rings to the cylinder bore.

Insert the piston rings one by one into the cylinder to a depth of 8...10 mm, pushing them through the bottom of the piston. The gap at the junction of the rings should be 1 mm, no more. If the gap is more than 1 mm, the piston rings must be replaced with new ones.

Reassemble the dismantled parts and components of the engine and MK in the reverse order. Install the piston in such a way that the arrow on the bottom is directed towards the exhaust port of the cylinder, i.e. towards the muffler. Before installation, lubricate the cylinder mirror with automotive oil. Tighten the cylinder head nuts evenly in a cross pattern. Replace gaskets if necessary.

ATTENTION! Installation: parts and assembly units of selective assembly: piston, cylinder, piston pin - complete, taking into account the same color markings applied to the surfaces of the parts (see Appendix 4).

Lubricate the throttle control cable with grease.

8.10. Replacing crankcase cuffs.

During the operation of the MC, if it is necessary to replace the right crankcase housing cuff, perform the following procedure:

Remove casing 19 (Fig. 9), pulley 11 and belt 12;

Drain the oil from the engine gearbox;

Remove the engine gearbox cover;

Remove the drive gear:

Using a screwdriver, remove the cuff with the spring from the crankcase;

Assemble the engine gearbox parts in reverse

sequences.

Replace the left crankcase housing cuff in the same way, having first removed the spiral casing, flywheel, and magneto (section 8.7).

8.11. Cleaning the muffler.

Cleaning the muffler involves removing carbon deposits from the holes in the muffler body. To perform this operation, remove the plug from the housing by unscrewing the bolts and removing the washers. Use a sharp object to carefully clean the holes and wipe them with a cloth moistened with gasoline.

Reassemble the muffler in reverse order.

8.12. Disassembling and assembling the starter.

If it is necessary to replace spiral spring 6 or starter cord 2 (Fig. 11), it is necessary to completely disassemble it. To do this, remove the starter from the engine and clean it from dust and dirt.

Disassemble in the following sequence:

By pressing on disk 13, remove lock 15, then sequentially remove parts 8, 14, 13,9, 11, 12, 10,9,8.

If the starting cord 2 is broken, release the parts of the cord from the reel 7 and the cord holder 4. Remembering the methods of fastening the cord in the reel and holder. Replace the cord. Before assembly, lubricate all rubbing surfaces with one of the oils used.

When replacing the spiral spring 6, insert it, being careful, into the coil 7, hooking the spring hook onto the protrusion in the coil or throwing the spring loop over a tooth in the wall of the coil. Release the spring from the mounting wire. Check the position of the middle of the hook mouth of the inner coil of the spring relative to the axis of the central hole of the coil. There should be a distance of 18 mm between them.

1 Operating instructions for the Mole Motor Cultivator The Mole Motor Cultivator (hereinafter referred to as MK) is one of the first domestic products of small-sized agricultural machinery, designed for shallow (up to 25 cm) cultivation (milling without turning the layer) of the soil, loosening it, harrowing, leveling, weeding rows and other work on personal plots, vegetable gardens and garden plots with a cultivated area of ​​about 0.04...0.10 hectares. All tillage operations are carried out using the working tool of the MK cutter (rotors with specially shaped knives). Torque from the engine through a V-belt drive, gears and sprockets with a chain is transmitted to the gearbox shaft with rotors mounted on it. When rotating, the rotor knives cut off layers of soil, crumble and mix them, while simultaneously causing the forward movement of the machine. The advantage of a milling cutter in comparison with a plow is better loosening of the soil, chopping and embedding of crushed weeds, as well as uniform mixing of organic and mineral fertilizers with the soil throughout the entire depth of cultivation. The use of MK is also possible on heavy soils, when cultivating virgin lands. The MK is relatively easy to use, does not require large storage spaces, and its low weight and dimensions allow it to be transported in the trunk or on the roof of a passenger car. To expand the functionality of the MK, additional attachments have been developed with which it can perform: hilling, weeding between rows, transporting various materials along hard-surfaced dirt roads, supplying water from open water sources, mowing grass, etc. (see Appendix 6 ). Attachments: trolley, mower, pumping unit and others are connected to the MK using additional accessories (see Appendix 7). This model has a centrifugal engine speed regulator, an improved carburetor, a new air filter and a reverse gear, which reduces operating fuel consumption, reduces noise levels, and increases service life.

Do not use the MK at full power; remember, the first 15 hours of operation are a break-in period. Therefore, it is better to process the same area in several passes, gradually increasing the depth of processing. During operation, the space between the rotary knives and the gearbox housing may become clogged with stones, roots, wire, etc. objects. In this case, in order to avoid damage to the V-belt, immediately turn off the MK and remove the stuck objects. If there are a lot of small stones (roots) in the soil, reduce the rotation speed of the rotary knives. When transporting the MK in the trunk of a car, in order to prevent oil from spilling out of the gearboxes, lay the MK on its side, with the starter facing up, while the fitting (tube with a rubber plug) for pouring oil into the working shaft gearbox should be raised relative to the bottom of the gearbox. Filling the fuel tank, adjustments, maintenance and other types of work should be carried out with the MK engine stopped. Strictly follow general fire safety rules when working with flammable liquids. Do not allow fuel to come into contact with a hot engine or muffler. Start the engine with the clutch disengaged. Operate the MK only with installed covers. If there is a sharp sudden increase in engine speed, immediately press the engine stop button "Stop". Do not leave a working MK unattended. The operator and people around him must always remain at a safe distance from the rotating rotors (1 m, minimum). When working in enclosed spaces (greenhouses), periodically stop the engine and ventilate the room. When engaging reverse gear, make sure there are no obstacles behind the operator. Do not engage reverse gear when the MK clutch is engaged. Do not use the clutch release when engaging the reverse lever. When carrying out maintenance (see section 8) according to paragraphs 8 “Changing engine oil” and 9 “Changing gearbox oil”, drain the used oils into a separate container for subsequent disposal through gas stations in the prescribed manner. When working with MK, it is necessary to use individual means of noise protection: earplugs or anti-noise headphones. The operator's permissible working time per work shift should be:

7 without personal noise protection - 2 hours with a 30-minute break; with personal noise protection equipment - 3 hours. The service life of the MK is 7 years. 8 6. Preparation for work 6.1. Assembly of MK. Install pipes 8 and 17 into the grooves of frames 2, 22 (Fig. 1), having previously unscrewed the nuts of bolts 17, 18 (Fig. 9). Align the holes in the pipes with the holes in the frames and gearbox and secure them using the removed bolts and nuts, having previously set the required height of the handles. Install clamp 9 on pipes 8, 17 (Fig. 1), securing it with screws, nuts and washers. Install handles 12 and 14 into the hole in clamp 9, securing them with bolts and locking nuts. Fasteners are included in the tool bag. Install the throttle control lever 13 on the left handle. Make sure there are no sharp bends in the clutch, reverse and throttle cable sheaths. Connect the inner block to the outer block of electrical connector 16. Connect the tip of the clutch cable to the tension roller bracket 14 (Fig. 9) using a spring. Install clamp 2 into handle bracket 6. The spring and clamp are included in the tool packaging. Secure the clutch, reverse and carburetor control cables to pipes 8 and 17 using clamps included in the tool package. For ease of use, it is recommended to use a tool bag (hinged), securing it to pipes 8 and 17 under clamp 9: the upper part for washers and nuts for fastening the clamp, the lower part to the pipes using fastening clamps from spare parts (in the tool package). Assemble the rotors and install them on the gearbox shaft according to Fig. 2. When installing, pay attention to the following: the rotors consist of two different pairs, right and left, and they should be installed so that the cutting edges of the knives enter the ground when the machine moves forward. Shield 29 is installed on the MK. Protective shields 30 are included. ATTENTION! After complete assembly of the MK, adjust: - V-belt transmission (see section 8.5.); - carburetor control elements (see section 8.4.) - reverse gear switching devices (see section 8.13).

9 Tighten the fasteners, tighten the loose nuts. To clean the wheel from soil, set a gap of mm between the wheel 23 and bracket “a”. Install coulter 2 according to Fig. 5, securing it with a special bolt, nut and clamp. Depreservation of the MK. To protect parts from corrosion, MK goes on sale preserved. Before you start using the MK, it must be re-preserved in the following order: Remove the hood 7 (Fig. 1). Wipe parts coated on the outside with protective lubricant with a clean cloth or rags soaked in gasoline. Remove the suppressive resistance with the screen and high-voltage wire from the spark plug, and then unscrew the spark plug. Install the MK with the spark plug hole vertically upward. Using the starter, set the piston to the top dead center position. Pour ml of pure gasoline or fuel mixture into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and hold for 1-2 minutes. Place the MK in a horizontal position and crank the engine with the starter once (until the cylinder cavity is drained). While cranking, you must press and hold the engine stop button in the closed position. Wash the spark plug with gasoline, dry it and install it in place; install a suppressive resistance with a screen and a high-voltage wire on the spark plug, secure the hood. Wipe with paper (rags) and rinse the instrument in gasoline or kerosene. Restore spare parts as needed. Prepare the fuel mixture. During the running-in period (the first 15 hours of operation), prepare a fuel mixture of gasoline A-76 or AI-80 eq with oil M-12TP, AZMOL Start2T in a ratio of 25: 1, with oil MG-

10 8A - in a ratio of 16: 1. Mix thoroughly and filter before pouring into the tank. Rice. 2. MK rotors It is recommended to prepare the fuel mixture in a separate container to avoid oil getting into the carburetor and fuel lines of the MK engine. When mixing gasoline and oil in a gas tank, first pour half of the total amount of gasoline into it, then all the oil, mix thoroughly, add the rest of the gasoline and mix again. In this case, first set the fuel valve handle to the “Closed” position. At the end of the running-in, prepare the fuel mixture in the indicated way in a ratio of 40:1, with MG-8A oil in a ratio of 20:1.

It is not recommended to use oils that are not specified in the "Operation Manual" 6.4. Monitoring the oil level in the engine and gearbox. Place the MK in a horizontal position. Check the oil level in the engine gearbox (Fig. 3) by unscrewing the oil level screw. The oil level should always be above the inspection hole. If the level is the same, then you need to add approximately 0.U2 liters of oil through the oil filling hole. Check the oil level in the gearbox (Fig. 3) by unscrewing the oil level screw. If necessary, add TAD-17i or MS-20 oil into the gearbox through the filling hole. Fill the oil to the level corresponding to the lower point of the inspection hole.

Launch of MK. Set clutch lever 25 (Fig. 3) (on the right handle) to the “Off” position; unscrew nut 28 of the fuel valve one turn counterclockwise; move the throttle lever 18 1/3 of the way clockwise; press the carburetor float 22 and hold for a second. (until fuel appears); pull out the starter cord 7 mm (until the pawls engage), then pull it sharply in the direction of the axis of the thrust funnel of the starter housing. After starting, warm up the engine at low speeds; in warm weather min, cold min. ATTENTION! Deviation of the cord from the recommended direction of extraction will result in premature wear of the funnel bushing and cord. Pulling the cord to its full length, all the way, is not recommended, as this may lead to breakage of the starter springs. Tillage. Raise wheels 1 (Fig. 5) and fix the axles in the holes.

Make sure that the carburetor choke is open, otherwise the engine may stall while milling the soil. Leaving the clutch lever in the "Disengaged" position, move the Throttle lever clockwise. Slowly moving the clutch lever from the "Off" to the "On" position will cause the rotors to rotate. Before acquiring the appropriate skill, it is recommended to engage the clutch in a position where the rotor blades are raised and do not touch the ground. The working position of the MK and the operator is shown in Fig. 5. The depth of tillage depends on the position of the coulter: the deeper the coulter goes into the ground, the deeper the tillage. It is recommended to start cultivating the soil when the bolt is located in one of the middle holes of the opener. The required width of the cultivated soil is adjusted by installing two or four rotors (Fig. 2). When cultivating soil with 4 rotors, install additional shields using the fasteners from the package (Fig. 6).

If the MK does not move forward, and the rotors “burrow”, slightly raise the handles of the MK and bring it out of this state. If the MK “leads” towards the treated area, it means that part of the rotor is moving along the treated soil to shift the MK in the opposite direction. It is not allowed to lift or turn the machine with installed rotors, relying on the opener, as this can lead to deformation of the frames. When working with the MK for a long time, set the clutch lever to the “On” position, lift the locking device 14, and the lever will be locked (Fig. 3). This will prevent you from holding the lever while working. To move the lever to the “Off” position, press the lever all the way up and release it. When processing loose (loose) soil, make sure that the rotors do not go completely deep into the soil, thereby causing overload of the engine. On heavy soils and virgin areas, treatment should be carried out in several stages,

16 layers, each time increasing the depth with the help of a coulter. In this case, good crushing of soil lumps is achieved and its most uniform structure is ensured. After finishing the MK operation, release the gas, disengage the clutch and run for min. at idle speed, then press the stop button. Close the fuel valve. Carry out maintenance (section 8). Switch from forward to reverse and back only when the engine is running using the lever) pos. 17 (Fig. 3) with the clutch lever turned off, pos. 25, i.e. in the absence of rotation of the output (working) shaft of the MK. ATTENTION! If it is difficult to engage the reverse lever, briefly engage the clutch, and after stopping the rotation of the rotors, repeat engaging the reverse gear. Adjusting the gearbox. When changing the type of work performed and when working on different soils, it is necessary to regulate the MC. The main regulation is to determine the correct position of the coulter, the number of rotors, and the positions of the handles. Set the required coulter position after determining the required soil tillage depth. Till a small area of ​​soil, note the depth to which the rotating knives go, and set the coulter in the desired position. If the required depth is not achieved, remove one pair of rotors. To change the distance between handles 6 (Fig. 9), loosen bolts 7 and locking nuts 8 on clamp 9, set the handles to the desired position, secure the bolts and nuts. To change the height of the handles, loosen the nuts of the bolts 17, 18 securing the lower ends of the pipes 16 on the gearbox, set the handles to the desired height and secure them. Running in the MK. ATTENTION! The first 15 hours of operation (production of liters of fuel mixture) is a break-in period. Avoid overloading the soil compactor during this period: treat the soil in stages to a depth of up to 10 cm per pass. Use the throttle lever no more than half its stroke. Long-term operation (more than 10 minutes) of the MC at idle speed is strictly prohibited, since in this mode, due to low fuel consumption, the crankshaft bearing is insufficiently cooled, which can lead to its overheating and jamming. 8. 21 8-Lever Roller The MK engine is equipped with a centrifugal governor. The function of the governor is to maintain the engine speed set by the throttle lever when the load on the engine increases or decreases. The regulator is driven by a device with rotating weights on the crankshaft and mechanical feedback from the carburetor throttle valve. When the rotation speed of the engine shaft decreases, the throttle valve opens slightly, and when the rotation speed increases, it closes. During manufacture, the engine is adjusted to the operating speed ranges: - idling min "" - maximum speed min "". If necessary, it is possible to adjust the speed during operation with the engine running and warm. Adjusting the idle speed. Check and set the gap of 0.2...0.5 mm between lever 8 and the gearbox cover. Adjust the idle speed using the carburetor screws “P” quantity (in a plastic cup) fig. 7 and “K” quality when the throttle valve drive lever is in the extreme (counterclockwise) position in the following sequence: - by rotating the screw “P”, reduce the speed to the minimum stable; - by rotating the screw “K”, achieve maximum speed by ear (after reaching the maximum value, the speed drops); - repeat the adjustment work with screws “P” and “K”” times. With proper adjustment, the engine should operate stably in all modes. Adjustment of maximum engine speed. Adjustment is made with screw M at the extreme (clockwise) position of the carburetor drive lever. When screwing in the screw, the speed decreases, when turning out, it increases. Adjustment of the V-belt drive. Correct adjustment of the V-belt drive will ensure reliable clutch operation and the necessary durability of the V-belt. The main tension of the V-belt is carried out with the clutch disengaged by moving the engine 10 (Fig. 9) along the frames 25 (in the direction of arrow D). Having previously unscrewed the screws 21, 24 with washers 20, 22, 23, remove the casing 19 and loosen the four nuts 26 securing the engine to the frames. The tension should be maximum, but not cause the rotors to rotate. Control of regulation can be done by slowly cranking the engine using the starter.

22 Additional tension is carried out using a tension roller by changing the position of screw 4. Before starting adjustment, screw 4 must be screwed in until it stops. In this position, with the engine running, engage the clutch and check the operation of the MK at full load. If the belt slips, increase the tension of the roller by turning out screw 4. Lock screw 4 with nut 3. Adjust the position of stop 13 by loosening the fastening nut. The stop must not touch the outer surface of the V-belt. The permissible gap I must be within mm. It is allowed to operate a V-belt with cracks on the inner diameter. ATTENTION! When securing the engine, monitor the location of pulleys 11.15 of the V-belt drive. The pulleys must be located in the same plane. The permissible deviation is no more than 1 mm. When installing the casing 19, the limiting bracket G (on the inner surface of the casing) should not touch the outer surface of the V-belt when fixing lever 1 to clamps 2. The permissible gap B should be within mm Cleaning the outer surfaces of the cylinder and cylinder head. Cleaning the cylinder and cylinder head involves removing dust, dirt, vegetation residues, etc. from their outer surfaces. Cleaning should be done mechanically, followed by rinsing with water, wiping dry and air drying for hours. Checking the ignition system. Check the engine ignition system by external inspection, measuring the gap between the spark plug electrodes using a feeler gauge and checking the set magneto sparking moment.

23 Fig. 8. Ignition system of the Mole motor-cultivator To inspect the magneto 7 (Fig. 8), remove the spiral casing 6 (Fig. 10), cup 2, unscrew the flywheel nut. Install the flywheel puller onto the flywheel and secure with three screws. Screw the Ml0x20 bolt (from the spare parts) into the puller and remove the flywheel. Carry out a visual inspection of the magneto; if the magneto fastening screws are loosened and the marks “a” and “b” on magneto 7 and crankcase 8 do not match, align them and secure the screws. If it is necessary to dismantle the magneto, disconnect the electrical connector 3, use a screwdriver to release the wires with tips from the magneto plug block, unscrew the tip of the spark plug 5 from wire 4. Remove the magneto 7 with the wires from the housing seat 8, having previously unscrewed the fastening screws (2 pcs.). Unscrew the high voltage wire from the magneto transformer. Reassemble the dismantled parts in the reverse order. ATTENTION! When installing the flywheel, align the keyways on the flywheel bushing and the crankshaft journal using a segment key. Tighten the flywheel nut to a torque of kgcm. To avoid breaking the high-voltage transformer screw,

24 screwing the high-voltage wire into the screw of the magneto transformer 7 to a length of mm. Carry out a visual inspection of the "Stop" button 1, low-voltage wires 2, electrical connector 3, high-voltage wire 4, suppressive resistance 5. If the insulation is damaged, repair the defect using insulating tape. To inspect spark plug 6, dismantle the spark plug on a pre-cooled engine with the hood removed. Use the tool included in the spare parts kit. In case of oil build-up, soot or carbon formation, clean the electrodes and the heat cone of the spark plug, rinse the electrodes and heat cone in gasoline, dry and blow. Measure the gap between the central and side electrodes. The gap should be within 0.4...0.6 mm. ATTENTION! If it is necessary to adjust the gap, do not put pressure on the central electrode; this may lead to breakage of it or the ceramic thermal cone. Install the spark plug by first installing the O-ring, screwing it in by hand until it stops, and then using a spark plug wrench. When tightening, do not use excessive force - this may lead to breakage of the cylinder head threads. Checking the air filter. The air filter is checked by external inspection of the filter housing and filter element. Cleaning the filter housing involves removing dust, dirt, and vegetation residues from the surface. Remove the filter housing by unscrewing the nut on the filter housing, rinse and wipe dry. Clean the filter element by blowing it with air. Replace the filter element in accordance with the maintenance. If the filter element is heavily contaminated, it must be replaced regardless of operating hours. Reassemble the air filter in the reverse order. ATTENTION! Operation of the MK without installing a filter element is not allowed. It is necessary to regularly check the tightness of the nut securing the air filter housing. Cleaning the cylinder, cylinder head, piston, MK units from carbon deposits, lubrication of control cables. To perform these operations it is necessary to perform partial disassembly

25 engine: remove the hood with bracket; the tip of the high-voltage wire from the spark plug; turn out the spark plug; remove the fuel tank by unscrewing screw 21 (Fig. 3) in the carburetor cover and releasing the carburetor cable seal from the air damper groove, unscrew the four nuts and remove the cylinder head with washers and gasket; set the piston to bottom dead center and, lifting the cylinder up, remove it from the studs; disconnect the muffler and carburetor; Remove the piston rings by placing steel or brass plates 0.2...0.3 mm thick and mm wide under the rings. Wash the cylinder, cylinder head, muffler, carburetor with the fuel mixture, clean the cylinder channels and the combustion chamber of the head from carbon deposits. If there is a ledge in the upper part of the cylinder bore (at the boundary of the upper piston ring), remove the ledge with a crescent scraper or an abrasive tool, avoiding damage to the cylinder bore below the ledge. If necessary, clean the marks and burrs of the cylinder mirror with fine sandpaper rubbed with chalk and coated with oil. Minor risks should not be displayed. Clean the piston bottom and the grooves for the piston rings from carbon deposits, after covering the crankcase hole with a clean cloth. It is convenient to clean the piston grooves with an old broken piston ring. Wash the cleaned parts thoroughly with the fuel mixture. Check the thermal gap at the joints of the piston rings inserted into the cylinder, the quality of fit of the piston rings to the cylinder bore. Insert the piston rings one by one into the cylinder to a depth of mm, pushing them through the bottom of the piston. The gap at the junction of the rings should be 1 mm, no more. If the gap is more than 1 mm, the piston rings must be replaced with new ones. Reassemble the dismantled parts and components of the engine and MK in the reverse order. Install the piston in such a way that the arrow on the bottom is directed towards the exhaust port of the cylinder, i.e. towards the muffler. Before installation, lubricate the cylinder mirror with automotive oil. Tighten the cylinder head nuts evenly in a cross pattern. Replace gaskets if necessary. ATTENTION! Installation: parts and assembly units of selective assembly: piston, cylinder, piston pin should be carried out as a complete set, taking into account the same color markings applied to the surfaces of the parts (see Appendix 4). Lubricate the throttle control cable with grease.

27 on the right, perform the following order of operations: - remove the casing 19 (Fig. 9), pulley 11 and belt 12; - drain the oil from the engine gearbox; - remove the engine gearbox cover; - remove the drive gear: - use a screwdriver to remove the cuff with the spring from the crankcase; - install a new one (recommended using a mandrel): - assemble the engine gearbox parts in reverse order. Replace the left crankcase housing cuff in the same way, having first cleaned the spiral casing, flywheel, magneto (section 8.7) Cleaning the muffler. Cleaning the muffler involves removing carbon deposits from the holes in the muffler body. To perform this operation, remove the plug from the housing by unscrewing the bolts and removing the washers. Use a sharp object to carefully clean the holes and wipe them with a cloth moistened with gasoline. Reassemble the muffler in the reverse order of dismantling and assembling the starter. If it is necessary to replace spiral spring 6 or starter cord 2 (Fig. 11), it is necessary to completely disassemble it. To do this, remove the starter from the engine and clean it from dust and dirt. Disassembly is carried out in the following sequence: By pressing on disk 13, remove lock 15, then sequentially remove parts 8, 14, 13,9, 11, 12, 10,9,8. Next, remove, by rotating counterclockwise, the coil 7 with the spiral spring 6 fixed in it, being especially careful because of the possible sudden unwinding of the spring. If the starting cord 2 is broken, release the parts of the cord from the reel 7 and the cord holder 4. Remembering the methods of fastening the cord in the reel and holder. Replace the cord. Before assembly, lubricate all rubbing surfaces with one of the oils used. When replacing the spiral spring 6, insert it, being careful, into the coil 7, hooking the spring hook onto the protrusion in the coil or throwing the spring loop over a tooth in the wall of the coil. Release the spring from the mounting wire. Check the position of the middle of the hook mouth of the inner coil of the spring relative to the axis of the central hole of the coil. There should be a distance of 18 mm between them. If necessary, bend the annealed end of the inner coil of the spring. Place cord 2 clockwise in the groove of coil 7 for no more than one turn and bring it outside the body 1 through the groove in the flanging of the coil. Then drag

28 it through the holes in the housing towards the starter handle, leaving a loop about 200 mm long inside the housing. Place the coil with the spring and cord on the body axis 1. aligning the hook of the inner coil of the spring with the flange of the bottom of the body. Check the fixation of the spring with the body by rotating the coil clockwise by hand within 1/4 of a circle - spring resistance should appear. Install parts 8, 9, 10, 12, 11, 9 on the housing axis 1 in sequence, while inserting the hook of the long end of the spring 11 into the hole of the coil. Insert the hook of the short end of the spring into the hole in disk 13, place the disk on the axle and turn it clockwise until the 2 grooves align with pawls 12. Pressing on disk 13, install parts 14, 8, 15. Axial clearance between disk 13 and washer 14 should be mm - ensured by selecting washers 14. Having secured the body, grasp the cord with your hand at a distance of mm from the coil groove and, turning the coil clockwise by the cord, make a revolution, thereby winding the spring 7. Having fixed the coil and body, pull the cord completely towards the handle 3. Slowing down the cord and simultaneously releasing the reel, allow the cord to slowly wind onto the reel. If the hole is not completely removed, you need to wind the spring one more turn. In a correctly assembled starter, the pawls 12 should easily move out from under the disk 13 when the cord is pulled out, and retract when the cord is released. Adjusting the reverse gear. The reverse gear of each motor cultivator is adjusted at the factory. In this case, the stroke of the lever shaft 4 (Fig. 12) or the difference in the distance between the end of the screw 13 and the end of the tip of the reverse cable (Fig. 3) is measured when the reverse gear is on and off. On a new motor-cultivator in a correctly adjusted device, the roller stroke should be 22.6 mm, the size difference should be from 12 to 13 mm. If necessary, adjust the reverse device as follows: - screw adjusting screw 13 (Fig. 3) into the handle bar over its entire length; - install bracket 16 in the first pair of holes (from the axis of fastening of lever 17); - start the engine, set the minimum stable speed; - engage reverse gear. If reverse gear does not engage, get it to engage by unscrewing adjusting screw 13.

29 If necessary, repeat this technique by sequentially moving the bracket 16 into the 2nd and 3rd pairs of holes, with the preliminary return of the adjusting screw 13 to its original position. The adjustment is made correctly if, when reverse gear is engaged, the gears in the gearbox engage and the direction of rotation of the output shaft changes under load. In this case, there is no grinding of teeth or spontaneous switching of strokes. Note. When reverse gear is engaged, it may not be possible due to the mismatch of the cavities and teeth of the gearbox gears. In this case, stop the engine and turn the gears by slowly cranking the engine using the starter, while simultaneously pressing the “Stop” button. Start the engine and repeat the reverse gear. 9. Storage rules 9.1. Short-term storage (up to 1 month). Start the engine and drain the carburetor of fuel. Perform EO work (daily maintenance). Lubricate all rotating and moving parts with oil. Short-term storage (up to 3 months). Drain the fuel from the fuel tank. Start the engine and drain the carburetor of fuel. Perform work on the EO. Lubricate all rotating and moving parts with oil. Long-term storage (up to 1 year). Drain the fuel from the fuel tank. Start the engine and drain the carburetor of fuel. Perform work on the EO. Pour cm3 of automobile oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and slowly turn the engine crankshaft several times with the starter. Lubricate all rotating and moving parts, as well as tools, with automotive oil or grease. Wipe the surfaces of the MK with a rag moistened with the fuel mixture. Store the MK in a dry room. Upon completion of storage (clause 9.3), before starting work, re-preserve the MK according to paragraph ATTENTION! Drain the fuel from the fuel tank and carburetor into a sealed container. 10.
